Everything…Our host was amazing and so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us

This stay was the most unique experience I’ve had in 25 years of traveling. It was straight out of a fantasy world (think Hogwarts) with three separate keys to get to your room and a very well hidden entrance. Once you figure out how to get inside (if you ask) the manager tells about the property’s rich history as he shows you around your room and tells you about the included breakfast you’ll have the next morning. Quite a memory!

Stunning property! Excellent host. Alexis was very helpful and made our stay a fantastic memory. Sleeping in a historic mansion is wonderful experience. Breakfast was lovely. The location is perfect in the historic part of Salerno.

We had read the great reviews and were happy that our expectations were exceeded. The host, Alexis, was extremely helpful and friendly, with great suggestions for places to see and things to do. The property was beautiful and spacious and the whole family enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great and the set up meant that we could eat in our room or at a communal table which allowed for great conversation with other guests. We highly recommend staying at this property.

It’s location is perfect . Right in the heart of the shops and restaurants but on a very quiet street.
The breakfast was amazing . Fresh fruit , yogurt,
And beautiful cuts of meat and fresh bread. The property and shared kitchen was VERY clean.
When you first pull up to the door it’s awkward. Big old wooden door with no signage. Just push the button and Alex came down right away. Once you go inside it’s really cool ! A couple flights of stairs to our room . Alex helped with the bags.

Exceptional in all ways. Advance communication with host Alexis was excellent. Breakfast was best in Italy. Location excellent in old city; colorful neighborhood; the premises clean comfortable and elegant. There are stairs to rooms; could use a tad mor light for a reader, but I brought my own so no problem.
A reading light.

From check-in to our departure, our stay at Casa Santangelo Suites was exceptional. Alexis was extremely welcoming, gave us a tour and history of the establishment, and provided some local tips. It quite literally felt like we were staying in a museum, but the room was comfortable and spacious and the necessary amenities were updated. We've never experienced anything like it... and didn't want to leave the room!

Amazing house to stay - we stayed in a very big room + living room and had two separate bathroom. Very special to sleep in an old house. We really liked the decoration and furniture . Location is also good
It was a bit noisy since it's in the city centre.

This boutique hotel was incredible and such a unique experience!
The location was right in the heart of everything, but whisper quiet inside thanks to heavy double sets of doors onto the charming Juliette balconies from our suite.
Alexis was so helpful: He came to find us when we got lost on arrival; he booked a beautiful restaurant for us and printed documents we needed to collect our hire car. Super host!
Breakfast was plentiful - savoury and sweet and Alexis even had a liqueur in our room for a night cap free of charge.
Where else can you live like a Marquis some 200 years ago while enjoying all the modern conveniences in the heart of Solerno.
Nothing!

the small touches, the feeling when you walk in. great decor, great rooms. excellent internet. loved breakfast
if i had to say it would be the stairs because there is no lift but Alexis carried out suitcases so it wasn’t a problem

The rooms were spacious and very old world charm. We had the deluxe 2 room 2 bath accommodation with a dining and library and office area.
It was one of the most beautiful rooms I had ever stayed in. So spacious, as there were 3 of us. And 2 bathrooms helped as well. The price was reasonable and Alexis helped coordinate check in as well.
The location is only 20 minutes walk from station and 10 minutes from the port where the boats go to Amalfi, Capri and Positano.
Alexis was very helpful as well. We had to leave early and he kindly arranged to set up breakfast for us a little earlier than normal.

Wonderful! The room was beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable! Host was so kind and welcoming. The room was big and felt like a suite. We were thankful for the air conditioner as it was so hot outside! The traditional Italian breakfast displayed in the dining room was a very nice touch. The vibe here is true to the buildings' history; quiet, relaxing old world Italian villa.Just what we wanted while visiting Italy for the first time. Also, it was easy to find from the train station and just steps away from shopping and restraunts.

It was so unique- like being in a museum and stepping back in time. It was a place that we will never forget- the frescoes everywhere and waking up looking at the beautiful ceiling made us feel like we were there many years ago.
It was a higher price than most places in Salerno but you are paying for the uniqueness and historical feeling

Alexis was a marvelous host, excellent responsiveness and communication. The property was beautiful, unique and memorable. We stayed in the family suite which had two separate rooms and two washrooms. Bedding and linens were top notch. Alexis left coffee and tea to serve ourselves with breakfast vouchers at a nearby cafe. The property location was fantastic, right in the old town, with shopping and restaurants everywhere.
One caveat....the property is right in the old town. If you are driving, I suggest co-ordinating your arrival with Alexis versus driving in. Some of the roads are very narrow. There is a new, safe, well-light parking lot less than a five minute walk away.

Very unusual experience, it really looks like a medieval palace! Friendly host. Great location.

The room was absolutely beautiful and so large - the bedroom is very spacious and with the entry, small dining room and 2 bathrooms it really is a suite. The murals and artwork are divine.
The location is fantastic but right on the main thoroughfare so quite noisy. We just closed the shutters though - which blocked out some of the noise - and went to sleep!

Amazing fresco decor, large space and polite staff.
