Loved the modern spacious open plan kitchen and living room overlooking the lovely garden

Beautiful, cosy cottage with lots of character and charm. Very comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Lovely backyard to watch the birds and relax with a glass of wine.

Lovely cottage in a shabby chic style - nice blend of modern & traditional. Perfect size for our family of 6. Queen sized beds comfy - bunk beds a little less so but still OK. Well equipped modern country style kitchen. Modern bathroom with large bath/overhead shower and underfloor heating. Large outside deck and back garden, perfect for enjoying breakfast or an evening glass of wine at sunset. Bottle of wine, tea, coffee and milk a lovely touch. We really enjoyed our stay and this will be our go to place in the Blue Mountains.
At rush hour road can be busy and the noise can be intrusive, particularly in the morning if you are sleeping in the front bedroom -> although it didn’t detract from our stay it is something to consider if you’re a light sleeper.

The back garden is huge such a lovely entertaining area. Perfect for the kids & animals.
Also the beds were so comfy! And love the heated bathroom floors what a nice surprise

House is beautifully decorated though my teenagers were a bit scared to see the paintings on the walls. The kitchen is nice with basic amenities like cooking oil, salt and pepper, spices provided. Good electric grill available for use, though it can be better with some clean up. Nice yard with fireplace, but need to buy wood and starters to DIY. Property provided initial starter set but can’t do much in setting up a fire. We were so cold when entering the property late at night. Good that the property left the lights on, would be better if they had also turned on the heating. The floor was super cold, thankfully we brought slippers.
Property is generally well furnished except for a pair of mittens for the oven. We used the tea towel to remove the oven wares, it was ok but could be dangerous if there’s a slip of hands due to the heated ware.

Mainly that the home has a variety of sitting areas both inside and out. Comfortable beds and couches and a well-equipped kitchen and functional laundry. Welcoming our dog Tilly was an absolute bonus. We also loved reading about the history of the home and having local information provided. Fire pit was great.
There was nothing to dislike so this is not a dislike, only a suggestion ......oven mitts would have been great as I cooked a lot for the family - a non-slip bathroom mat might feel a bit safer. Mosquitoes at times - so bring mozzie repellent along.

Great atmosphere and beautiful kitchen/living area! Handy location for shops and bushwalking. Exceptionally clean!
No firewood to light fire when we got there like described. We had to buy our own from petrol station.
Gas heater in front room not working. Cuts out after 2 mins.
Cold beds. Used hot water bottle, but electric blankets for winter would have made stay more cozy.

This is a 125 year-old cottage that very nicely blends old and new. The front is mostly old, nicely decorated and full of character. The newer kitchen / living area at the back is spacious and bright.
Bathroom looks nice but the shower was a little impractical and the mirrored cabinets are too close to the sink, you could bump your head if you are not careful while brushing teeth. We chose this cottage over another that clearly stated no private parking, only to discover the "free parking" at Illalangi was on the road. The internet/wifi didn't work for the duration of our three night stay, this meant no iView and the free to air TV couldn't even receive ABC.

Very quaint and a taste of the past. Great facilities and use of the property. Warm and cosy, friendly neighbours and the communication from the owners was exceptional.
I personally prefer a top sheet on my bed.

Cosy cottage with vintage vibes. Large kitchen and living area.
I was there with a family of five so the single toilet was an issue. Regulating the interior temperature was also challenging as heaters were only provided in the living room and one of the three bedrooms.

Great location, really comfortable beds. A very pretty & comfortable cottage with everything you need.
Can't wait to go back!
We couldn't get the fire going as it didn't seem to draw well. This didn't matter as the heating was fine, but a wood fire is always nice in the mountains.

It was beautifully styled, everything you needed was there. Full size kitchen and all appliances and cutlery etc. Very comfortable and heating was warm

I love heritage architecture. Original floorboards and ceiling boards. The little step at the front door - felt like the lives of previous families who lived in the cottage is etched in the originality! Super bed and linens. We slept in the bedroom on the left as you walk in the door. We didn't use the other bedrooms. The bathroom is cute and quaint. The kitchen is spacious and great design. The information booklet is comprehensive and displayed on the magnificent dining table. Fireplace wonderful (not used). Gas heaters also available all through and kept the interior pleasantly warmed with zero degrees temps over the 2 days we stayed. The tv wonderful and wifi access great. We are a couple of the age 55+ and the old leather lounge was not comfortable and too low down for our arthritic knees to sit down and get up out of. An alternate single chair would have been a more comfortable option but this is a very minor comment. The fixtures fittings artwork was all very beautiful. The laundry is useful and appropriately located. The outdoor setting and fireplace is wonderful and we did not use on our short stay although we did sit on the outdoor lounge on our last morning and bathed in the morning sun while having coffee. Walking through the garden is wonderful with young and old established fruit trees, little garden areas on both sides of the grassed back area which is undulating and homely. The front porch is quaintly staged and a wonderful beginning to what is a beautiful home inside. Parking is on the roadside directly in front of the cottage. All your types of rubbish is correctly binned. Some cleaning products are supplied for kitchen , bathroom although I couldn't find a floor broom to quickly run over the surface before leaving. We would love to stay again and will recommend to our friends. The security box for the front door key is easily accessed and we felt safe and secure in the house.
Just add an alternative lounge or chairs for people that have bad knees and who can't get down and up out of the lovely leather lounge. We would prefer not to go through a third party booking agent. We could not work out how the oven turned on and our conclusion was that the timer was at fault or some sort which did not allow the oven to work. Minor trouble which the owners said they would look into.

The cottage is very stylish, comfortable and clean. Quiet yet convenient location. Easy walk to main Street for dinner and breakfast. It has a well designed outdoor space, great for entertaining, even for little kids.
We didn't put on fire, there heaters in living room and bedroom(at least in my bedroom), warm up very quickly.
Look forward to come back in summer to enjoy outdoor entertainment.
Highly recommend.
Didnt refill coffee and tea bags, only some fruity tea bag left.

No aircon and the temporary fly screens were missing. The bathroom was also a little difficult and hard not to get water everywhere with the stand alone bath
3.0
The location was great. Nice touch with the flowers on the table.
We could not get in the front door as the door handle was broken. Could not walk on the back porch as it was slimy. Could not walk in the back yard as the grass was too long. The fan in the bathroom was broken and noisy yet when the heater was on it triggered the heater. Bad wiring? We booked this venue as it had a wood fire. It should be advertised that this will cost you an extra $15 per night. In the house booklet it states the first night is set and free yet there was none. We stayed one week. The house did not cater for a long stay.
