My stay at Hotel Parajay

The design on the wall behind the bed.

Accidentally overpaid them ( Had to pay advance and then paid the amount in full while checking in ) I Realised my mistake within Five minutes and asked for a refund. They pulled out their big register, noted my comment and added rather self-importantly that the refund will be done at check-out. At check-out, they said it would take up to 24 hours for the money to credit in my account.. It has been a few days and a few reminders.The money is gone with the wind.

Very good for price

Close to heart of the city Surprised it was so quiet inside room as it’s on a busy street. Great for price - walkable to train and temple

A very very bad experience of behaving such a rude way

A quick response while the hotel was booked.

But, eventually the manager of the property could not arrange any room while after reaching

High cost and low facilities

Location of the hotel is the only positive feature.

Room is so small. For an additional single mattress, they charged 300, on the request for an additional bed. Toilet flush was not working, fan regulator complaint and tv channels have poor signal strength.

Smiling staff, good reception, hot water is available, no mosquitoes, clean bathroom, good lift service, close to the temple

We booked two rooms with queen sized bed which is sufficient for 2 people in each. One bed was queen sized but the other one was small. We ignored at first as we thought probably this room is smaller or didn't care much, as we had to stay for 2 days only. But then we came to know that room was for single person to stay not for two people. When we talked with them. They didn't accept their fault and just said that they will change the room. But we already stayed in the small ones for one day. We asked them to lower the price also as hey didn't provide double size bed at the first place. So in short, they charged equally for two queen size room but provided us one queen size and one single bed room

Good location near the main bus station and where my overnight bus to Pondicherry picked up. Also close to the train station. Not far from the Big Temple etc.

Room service was virtually non existant. Had to keep calling them just to get a towel and toilet roll, eventually got it myself after over an hour. Room was very noisy with the street traffic, and several mosques, and churches blaring out various electronic noises.

Near to Railway Station and Meenakshi Temple. You can find Restaurants near by. We have requested for early check in, which they agreed.

One issue was there, that room was smelling like hospital smell. They told that they had sprayed something for mosquito. After I informed them, they immediately cleaned with phenyl. But still the smell was there.

Staff is ok. Comfort is ok .

Facility is not available. No water glasses available in the room. After bringing tea , we have to pay for the disposable cups and glasses. No sleeping facility given to driver.
