We had a lovely stay at this traditional old Stone property. The bedrooms were very comfortable but only one toilet upstairs meant going to the loo in the night wasn’t easy. Also the bathrooms only had hand held showers in the baths which wasn’t ideal. The housekeeper that met us was very friendly and helpful and explained everything very clearly. We had paid extra for linen (note it is 19euros per person not per bed which works out quite expensive). The pool and outside area was fabulous.
The property is located in the middle of fields and is very peaceful, the nearest town is Matignon which has a large market on Wednesday and a decent supermarket. We made trips to Dinan, Dinard, St Lunaire and Fort la Latte whichwere all beautiful and easily reached. Our favourite beach was Plage pen guen in St Cast.
We would definitely come back to this area.

Ecellent sejour
Propriétaire au top
Petit souci de colonne bouchée, le propriétaire a su trouver un 1er janvier, une société pour le débouchage.
Remise commerciale faite en fin de séjour
Vraiment très bien
Le reste RAS
Nous recommandons.

A lovely stay in Ruca
This was our first visit to Brittany. The Old Presbytery is a lovely building with plenty of character. Ruca is very peaceful, but in close proximity to the many wonderful towns and beaches nearby. The swimming pool is an added bonus.

Very nice secluded house for large groups
Large, clean and comfortable bedrooms with good beds. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets. Very nice garden for outside dining.
Well equipped kitchen.

The Old Vicarage is very roomy with enough space for an extended family group. Kitchen is extremely well equipped with every possible piece of kitchen equipment one could need. The garden is enclosed and private with enough room to eat out and enjoy the lawn. There is lots of outdoor play equipment for kids to use . The pool is enclosed very clean and provides hours of fun for the children. About 2m deep at one end so will need supervision of youngest. Hard to find fault with the place really. We had a fabulous time. Recommend sitting out near the entrance to watch the sunset beyond the hills on the other side of Ruca.
Note that Ruca village is very small and quiet with no shop or cafe so eating out requires a short drive. Worth visiting Matignon on market day, to see the whole town out and about.
Small things to look at:
1 Small point for future maintenace is the front door which was very hard to lock.
2 Misunderstanding over linen payment for the property which perhaps needs clarifying in the property booking arrangements. The charge was made on the basis of 2 charges for each king size bed even if only used by one person. So we used 6 beds for 7 people (one couple and 5 teenage children) but were charged for 11.
