Historic buildings line the beautifully scenic streets of downtown Hood River, with a bustling shopping district featuring boutiques, designer shops, outdoor adventure gear outfitters, antique shops, art galleries and no less than 30 restaurants.
There are many orchards and vineyards in Hood River. The Hood River Valley is known for its luscious apples, pears, cherries, peaches and other fruits, and for the view of the majestic snowcapped peak of Mt. Hood. People from all over Oregon make an annual trek in the fall to the many farm stands to stock up on fresh apples and pears. Other produce is available, and varies by season. The award-winning Hood River Vineyards is located on a hillside overlooking the Hood River Valley. Their tasting room features traditional wines, and fruit liqueurs.
The Columbia River Gorge, with its magnificent views make this a dream spot for a destination wedding.
Wind surfing capital of the world is Hood River's latest distinction. The winds from the Columbia River Gorge, best during the middle of the day, create ideal conditions for riding the waves. To enjoy the view of "boardheads" at play, drive to the Columbia Gorge Sailpark or follow Second Street to the waterfront.
The Mt. Hood region and its more than sixty miles of forested mountains, 77 waterfalls and myriad lakes and streams are a rip-roaring mecca for outdoor adventure. The mountain is home to four ski areas and offers the country's only year-round skiing and snowboarding.
Please note, if you choose to book with this home, you will be receiving a separate rental agreement that will need to be electronically signed before your stay.

We made reservations for Daisy’s Place months in advance. A couple of weeks before we got there we were informed that it wasn’t available and someone from your company or affiliate told us that it was unavailable and we could stay at a wonderful other property for the same price. The other property was clearly inferior had a view of a hospital parking lot and was on road that had the same ambiance and noise level of a freeway on ramp. If I had any other place to stay I would have gone there. I feel like I was misled and ripped off.

It was great! There's an area of the back deck that apparently needs some work, but the backyard is still a nice well shaded area to relax. Overall a nice and comfortable place to stay.

We had a wonderful Father’s Day weekend visit to Hood River with son, daughter in law, and new grandson. The “kids” used the upstairs and we stayed on the main level which gave all of us our own space. Very convenient to town, fruit loop and nice view from the front porch.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated all of the conveniences that were available. We do wish we could have accessed the TV, however. The directions were very clear as how to get in and out of the house as well as checked out. Thank you!

Location was perfect walking distance to town and the front porch had a lovely view. Arrived was available immediately to answer questions before and after booking. We arrived unpacked and walked to kickstand for dinner which was so convenient. We traveled with three dogs, backyard was large enough for potty breaks and we didn't see anywhere they would escape but the fence is short. The decking has multiple holes where it has rotted, which became a hazard to one of our dogs (she stepped in a hold which gave her a pretty good cut). Stairs outside to get up to the property are steep as others have said, the stairs inside are also steep. They may be challenging for children and older people. The bedroom downstairs is on the small side and the bed seemed more like a full. Upstairs the two bedrooms were much bigger. One room has a queen bed. Other room had a twin and a double. There is also a loft area with a futon. The shower upstairs could use an updated show head. We did not use the kitchen much except for coffee and the refrigerator which worked great. Living area is comfortable with plenty of space to sit. Cable was a treat and so was the ability to sign into streaming programs like hulu and Netflix. One of us did have to use the internet to teach a class and she stated it was a little slow for zoom but we didn't have an issue with streaming. Only thing I'd add to improve the experience is perhaps a vacuum, a good broom and a multipurpose cleaner. Since we had dogs it would have been nice to stay on top of the fur, luckily we were only there for a few days but any longer and it really would have been hard not to have any cleaning supplies.
TIP FOR DOG OWNERS you can take your dogs to the sandbar area and let the run off leash. Our dogs really enjoyed it! not quite walking distance but a real treat we were not expecting from Hood River.

Our COVID vacation
July 2020 brought many challenges for vacations but "Arrived" did a good job of managing their rentals. "Daisys Place" is one of my favorite homes to rent but it needed some TLC. "Arrived" responded to our concerns in a timely manner. Everything worked well, We cooked every meal for 6 adults over 7 days with no problems. the entertainment system is great and the washer dryer is new. This is a PET rental so expect all that comes with that great feature. If you are like me and have rented there before be aware that the Jacuzzi has been removed but it was nice to have the extra deck space.

Location is good and has parking. House is run down, upstairs bedrooms have no heat and lighting throughout is poor.

Hood River Gem
A cute and cozy cottage......... close to downtown! The only thing I would add is a railing for ascending and descending the front steps. I have one knee replacement and another one probably in the next year or two!

This older home reminded me of my first home which was built circa 1940. Furniture was comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and there were even a few games and zigsaw puzzles. We were only there in the evenings and mornings but it would have been comfortable to hang out all day long. The price fit the level of accommodations.

It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with dishes, kitchen appliances, tv, cable, WiFi, board games, etc. The downside was that the advertised hot tub did not exist and there were so many steps up to reach the cottage that it was a chore lugging all our things inside.

Lovely Home
The home was attractive, clean, and comfortable. Everything you could want was there: dishes, cooking utensils, wine opener, toaster, tv, cable, WiFi, air conditioning, bbq, etc. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5: no hot tub and all the steps up to the cottage.

Daisy's place
The house was lovely and the location quite convenient. We greatly appreciated being able to stay.
However, there were some problems that could be easily solved with a bit more care. The first was that the ad said 2 queen beds, plus and there were 2 full sized beds, 1 queen, 1 single and a futon. The bed on the main level dips and is seriously in need of replacement. It is very uncomfortable as it sinks drastically in the middle and there is no way for two people to sleep comfortably.
The other issue is the kitchen. I did not expect a gourmet kitchen as I'd read the posted reviews. I DID expect the stove to work. 2 burners didn't work at all, a third took over 5 minutes to start working and the other that heated up was all wonky and wouldn't lie flat. The rice cooker had no cord, which wouldn't have mattered if the stove worked, and the toaster consistently burnt the toast.
I would consider staying again but would check to see if these issues were corrected first. It's a great house though.

Not as described
I had to leave this property. It is dangerous to enter as there are 2 sets of stairs that have no railings. And the stairs are cracked and slippery when wet. I was very disappointed that the owner had not made mention of this and the steep flight of stairs in the house
To at all a good place for elderly
