Had a great time, the pool was awesome and the hot tub was even better. Loved the fully stocked kitchen it really helped us with our meals for the week. Host was quick to answer and understanding during one issue, which was corrected fast and efficient. Wont lie the septic smell was unpleasant outside but we managed. Other than updating some pictures i would say id recommend anyone to stay and enjoy a week!
Thank you for allowing us to stay!

We had a wonderful vacation. The house served it's purpose, mostly just for cooking and sleeping. The location was great for local and short distance activities. We saw deer, a bear and a snake eating a frog. Everyone had a good time.

Woodstock Family Fun
We had a great week! Our family felt so welcomed and comfortable in this lovely Woodstock home which had just about every single thing we could think of to make our stay perfect. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen appliances and utensils which was helpful as we stayed in and cooked most meals. We had some rainy days and found the house well stocked with games, books, puzzles, dvds and TV apps so plenty to keep everyone busy. My 3 year old nephew also appreciates all the toys that kept him busy on rainy days. On sunny days we spent all day outdoors by the pool enjoying the pool, hot tub, Tiki bar, BBQ, fire pit, playground and nearby stream. The house is close to town so we also got to enjoy strolling by the shops. There is a nearby field and dog park. We also enjoyed hiking the Ashokan rail trail. Would highly recommend this property for any family gathering.

Wonderful stay!
Wonderful stay at this Woodstock house with extended family! Kids enjoyed using the pool and swing set everyday. Parents enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub. Great location, close to downtown Woodstock with many nice restaurants and local hiking spots in the Hudson valley. Would definitely go back!

Family get together
Given my family is all vaccinated but we still wanted a safe family get together, I was happy to find this property through VRBO. The house was just as described and was very clean, well stocked and very comfortable. My family really enjoyed the pool, the hot tub and hanging out in the family sunroom. Great location to explore rhe surrounding area with lots to see. The hosts gave us a well written info pamphlet prior to arriving so we knew where to go for groceries, places to eat, etc. We had a lovely time!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
This house is so perfectly located close to town and nestled within green scenery. It felt like a private oasis. We booked the house on a weekend that turned out to be 90 degree weather so spent the entire time in the pool while listening to music on the outdoor speakers. And then we crashed hard each night in the comfy beds. It was hard to leave.

Weekend getaway
We had a great time at Heather’s property. We loved driving through the nearby windy roads and seeing pretty views of Catskills. This would be a great place to visit in warm weather when the pool is open as well.

Weekend gateway
House is super clean , well stocked and very comfortable. It sits on a beautiful property and has a superb location - minutes from restaurants and supermarket. Hot tub was a bonus on a cold winter break. We cannot wait to go back on warm days to enjoy the pool. Heather is also incredibly thoughtful and organized (you can tell from everything in the house) and she is responsive. It exceeded our expectations and we would love to be a regular on her property.

Great weekend away
We absolutely loved this house - the access to the town and hiking was amazing. The TV had access to most networks and apps, and the hot tub was great in the chilly October weather. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely stay in woodstock
Thank you, Heather, For a lovely stay. We had three generations and there was something for everyone. The whole house was very well stocked. We were sorry that the hot tub was not working while we were there and it was too chilly to use the pool because that looked lovely! We loved playing in the creek next to the property. You can tell it is a special place.

Beautiful Way to Spend a Week with Family!
Your home exceeded our expectations, and had plenty of space for our family of seven! We all enjoyed the pool and its surroundings, including the creek nearby, in which my grandchildren (9, 6, and 4) frolicked almost every day. The house was stocked with basic items, although we brought much of our own. Markets and eateries were nearby. We spotted wild turkeys and deer, amusing the children, as well. Thank you for a relaxing week!

Perfect Home for a NY Getaway
We just returned from a week at this charming home in Woodstock and it exceeded our expectations. The home was exceptionally clean and organized, and offered many amenities that are often missing in rental homes (nice bedding, plush bath and pool towels, great pool toys). The home was also fully stocked (seasonings, coffee, hot chocolate, etc.) and while we did not use any of these (we brought our own), it was nice to see them offered. It's evident that the homeowners are not pinching pennies in their rental and want you to feel at home. The grounds are simply amazing - from the pool, to the hot tub, to the creek, and playground - the kids and adults had an absolute blast. If I had to point to any "cons," I would say that the air conditioner in the kids room is a bit noisy (we couldn't have it on during the evening), and the check-in time (4pm) is too late, especially given the check-out time (11am). Essentially, we lost two days of our week vacation and given it rained 80% of the time, we could've used them (especially the last day since it was the second of two sunny days we had the whole week). I did not ask for a late check-out because our request to check-in early was denied on the basis of the cleaning crew needing the time to clean thoroughly, but given the size of the home, I don't think 5 hours are necessary for cleaning, especially if there are 2-3 people cleaning. However, Heather was absolutely wonderful to deal with overall, and always responded promptly and in a friendly manner, which I really appreciated. (And the home and grounds were spotless.) Overall, I would definitely rent this home again.

Even Better than the Pictures
My tag line says it all. The house is lovely, every detail taken care of without being fussy- from a super well applianced kitchen to small touches like hooks next to hot tub for towels. Bathrobes, plenty of towels, clear instructions, amazing pool and lovely walks all near by. The layout of the bedrooms is also perfect, two up and two down so allows for some privacy. Even though it was a glorious weekend we were torn between being outdoors and enjoying the light and views from the very large sunroom/living room. Heather was incredibly responsive and the house was immaculate (as were the grounds).

Lovely spot for sheep and wool festival
Four of us stayed here for the Sheep and Wool Festival in Rhinebeck. It was great. House was very clean and bright. Bedrooms were as pictured, clean and cozy. Kitchen was well stocked. Our evenings in the hot tub were so relaxing after walking at the festival all day, and the babbling brook running through the backyard completed the storybook setting. Also, the host was very kind and responsive. Highly recommend!

Nice time in the country.
Property was nice, we didn't get to try out the pool. Maintenance of the premises could be better.

Pleasant but Disappointing
Our family of five enjoyed our stay at this property. The layout of the ground floor was excellent, with lots of comfy seating and areas for adults and children to be together. It was wonderful to be able to be in a dog-friendly environment that was surrounded by lovely woods and a lovely play area/pool area/hot tub and grilling sections.
However, there were some drawbacks that did diminish our enjoyment of the weekend home. The downstairs bedrooms have little room and few amenities, such as bedside tables. The master bedroom does not have two bedside tables. No rooms have ideal situations for plugging in electronics--way too few outlets for the number of people allowed and no extension cords. The televisions are a mystery to the common person, including a young man in the tech field who was part of our group. More info on the televisions' operation and how to access special channels is needed. The upstairs shower water has a low pressure and probably needs a new shower head. The house is barely clean enough but certainly does not sparkle. Paper products were in short supply in the kitchen--one roll of paper towels, no napkins that we could identify, and few plastic bags. This is difficult because there is no garbage disposal. The dishwasher turns itself on from time to time!
Heather was very pleasant to deal with. The only problem on that front was house instructions--we received someone else's in August and did not get ours until the day of arrival after several requests. She was saintly in answering our questions and requests both in advance of and during our stay.
All in all, we believe this house is justifiably priced on the high side because of the pool, the play area, the pet allowance, and the setting. We think that the condition of the home and the absences of sparkle and shine in its upkeep and comfort amenities makes the price too high.

Cousins weekend
We were 2 families 4 adults and 5 boys ages 6-13. This house able meet the needs of keeping 5 boys busy and happy! The creek in the back is where we spent most of our time.
The pool was heated to a comfortable temperature.
As for the overall impression of the property, first the was my first time ever renting a house so I can not compare it to anything. However I did feel the overall property indoor and outdoor lacked maintenance and upkeep. For the price of the house I expected a bit more. The pool wasn’t newly cleaned given the time of year (fall) I know it’s harder to keep clean but still I would assume that would be part of preparation for a new guest especially given the time year.
The overall “stock/appliances “ of the home were at best satisfactory.
All in all the general feel of the home is best described as how I would keep weekend home for myself up the woods. Filled with tag sale item and good will items (which is fine and how I often shop) BUT for the COST I felt my expectations were not met.
Once again let me clear, our families had a GREAT TIME. and the boys said they’d like to go back to this house

Great stay in Woodstock
We, 3 kids and 4 adults had a great time in the house and the Woodstock area. The house had everything we needed to enjoy a very relaxing time. The kids enjoyed the big pool and the adults the hot tub. The location was very convenient, we walked twice to the "city". Overall a great experience we highly recommend to get away from everyday life.

So many things to do!
We had an extended family group ranging in age from four to 71. Everybody had a great time. There were so many things to do that we had to fit in our fire pit experience in the morning with smores for breakfast! The only snag was that the garbage wasn't picked up as expected and when contacted, Heather called and arranged for pick up the next day. Problem solved!

A home for the great outdoors
The magic of this property lies outside its walls. The pool and tiki bar surrounded by forest, the sweeping lawn and kids playground, the fire pit, and the walk down to Saw Kill Creek make this house worth staying in, especially in summer.

If you're looking for a place that allows you to spend the entire week at the house and the grounds around it, a place that is literally a minute and a half drive to the center of Woodstock, or a place that is centrally located then this is the house you've been looking for.
We could have spent the entire week at the house with all of the amenities it has (pool with slide, hot tub, tiki bar, cable tv, Netflix, Wii, Apple tv, swing set, hammock, Jacuzzi, a river that runs along the property ((we were greeted by a doe and fawn when we first arrived)), fire pit, board games, books, DVD's and so much more) but we opted to take advantage of the surrounding area as well as the house. There are so many things to do in the area that it was nice to head out on a scenic drive in to the mountains then hike for a few miles to find a breathtaking view and have the short drive back to the house to take a swim and relax with a drink by the bonfire or simply take in the amazing stars at night.
The property and house were more than we expected as was the attentiveness and recommendations that we were afforded by Heather. We loved the stay and obviously can't say enough about it. Highly Recommend staying here!!!!!!

This is a wonderful house that is perfect for families with young children. We spent a week with our kids and grandkids( four kids under the age of five)and had more than enough space. So many new toys were available as well as great TV options. Pool and hot tub were great and well maintained. The master bedroom was gorgeous(jacuzzi in bath)and the other rooms were more than ample. The owner had a terrific on site person who was available should we have any concerns/needs. This is a wonderful home in a great location! We will return.
