The work of masonry was spectacular. The place was very clean and Helena was an excellent hostess.
Accessibility was a surprise. Plus the vue of the garbage behind the police station, although not your fault, was not inviting.
4.7
The location, cleanliness and the property itself

We loved everything about our stay here! We really appreciated that Elena (Giuliano’s staff) and her husband met us at the train station and carried our bags up with the stairs. We instantly felt so welcomed! She also oriented us to the area and shared information about the common area that included bottled water and snacks. We were then blown away by the view from our room- it was truly breathtaking. The bedroom, bathroom, and living rooms were great as well. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone planning to visit the area!
Nothing.

This was a wonderful base for 6 nights exploring Cinque Terre. We loved relaxing on the rooftop and enjoying the view. Helena and her husband were around each morning for any questions and were very helpful and lovely. Thanks for a great stay!

Very cute houses with a gorgeous view of Vernazza, the prettiest village of the Cinque Terre. Even more beautiful than the photos. The couple greeting us was incredibly kind. There was a fridge with water and tea & coffee, as well as tables to eat with the amazing view. The room was spacious and clean. 5 minute walk from the beach!
Although this is not the fault of the owners, we could hear the faint sounds of the trains and the station. This is because the village is tiny and the station as well as the flat are centrally located. It did not bother us too much.

Excellent location and hosts

The guest houses are strategically perched on a cliff with outstanding terrace views of the colorful town, crowds of tourists below, and lemon trees growing on the hills behind the property. It was comfortable, clean, cool and convenient to the train station, the beach and the town. (a 5 minute walk) The gardens and paths were lined with colorful hydrangeas and bright lights to find your way at night, when the views are exquisite. Having access to a clean snack area with coffee/ tea, breakfast treats, and a refrigerator stocked with bottles of cold water was an added benefit and much appreciated. Clean, large beach towels were also available. Thanks to our amazing hosts, Elena and her husband, our stay in Vernazza was even more enjoyable. Before our arrival, they sent detailed video instructions on how to walk to the property from the station. We arrived late only to find them both waiting patiently in the scorching sun so they could greet us personally and carry our luggage up the hill to the property. Again, very much appreciated! They gave us good suggestions on restaurants and less-crowded towns, which we explored. We will never forget their kindness to help us solve our transportation problem during a rail strike. I will be back again to visit when there is no rail strike and no heat wave!

A real hidden gem in the best location in Vernazza. Giuliano and family were accommodating and kind hosts and you can really feel the love and attention that went into building the place. The room was an oasis above the town but you’re in the centre in less than a 5 minute walk. We loved it! (the pictures do not do it justice!)
walls were a bit thin so we could hear neighbours at times (but this doesn’t matter if they’re considerate)

Great view and patio. host went out of her way to help us find the place and make sure we were comfortable.
4.7
The location was beautiful- absolutely worth the steps ups for the view and sunrise/sunset bird song. The room was pretty and the bathroom was large.
nothing- absolutely perfect place.

Great location, nice room
Could hear the other guests through the walls easily

Very helpful host. They helped with our luggage. You are provided with water and beach towels. Room clean and nicely decorated.
Amazing views from the terrace. Excellent location

I loved all the garden terraces that let us get out of the room and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
okay, so if you have the door open or the vent open for fresh sir, you will hear the train station “ding-dong” a lot as the trains come and go. also, we heard the bathroom noises if our neighbors. I think must visitors realize this and we’re trying to be polite as possible in the bathroom area.
4.7
it was away from the hubbub of the downtown area and close to the train station
4.7
The property was in an excellent location close to the railway station and the bus stop. The room we were in was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and it was nice and hot. We loved the roof top terrace with tables and chairs overlooking the town. In the shared kitchen we had assigned shelf in the fridge and the hostess left us 2 bottles of cold water each day in it. The host and hostess were super friendly and helpful. Their English was not perfect, but they were always smiling and willing to help me with my questions. They really helped us feel welcome.
Only minor issue we had was that the Wi-Fi was not always reliable. It would sometimes cut out.
4.7
No sound insulation. You can hear your neighbors too well.
4.7
Great location, excellent service, beautiful view.
4.7
Wonderful location with a spectacular view overlooking the city. The surrounding gardens were so tranquil, and the staff were very friendly. They insisted on helping carry some bags to the train as well.
We liked everything but if I had to pick one thing that could improve, the shower temperature was a little irregular but that was a very minor detail.

We really enjoyed our stay at Camere Giuliano Basso. The room is in a good location close to the train station and great value for the price. The room was clean and had a great view.
It was a bit difficult to get to the room when we arrived in the dark given you have to go up several confusing staircases. A posted sign to guide guests to the room would be helpful.
4.7
While it is uphill above the town, it's really a short hike up the path. I really loved the view and the outdoor patio.
Would have liked a little more for snacks available, particularly for bfast.
4.7
great location, comfortable bed and nice room.
Our only complaint was the poor towels.
4.7
Fun little cottage like place.
No good instructions to get to it. We went by Google map instructions and by booking and it was so difficult. After lugging our suitcases up 1/2 hour, a local told us a different way that was so much easier.
4.7
great location providing views of town, water and mountains. wonderful sunsets from the patio. spacious bathroom and shower.
the nighttime temperatures made it a bit damp and chilly. daytime temperatures were fine as the sun heated up quickly. definitely need a sweatshirt and jacket for after sunset.
4.7
it was really a wonderful place, everything made by hand, it was beautiful up at the top of Vernazza with a great view. The shower had high water pressure, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was perfect for us to refrigerate our breakfast. There was bottles of cold water kept in the refrigerator, which was nice!
it was so high up the hill with so many stairs. Hard to drag our luggage!
4.7
The rooms were situated on the hill overlooking the town and train station. great location, just be ready for the steep climb to the rooms.
There wasn’t enough room for storing luggage if you’re on a longish trip involving different destinations.
4.7
clean and close to the train station
wifi signal wasn’t strong enough.

World class, paradise, can't recommend this place enough.
4.7
Check-in was very easy and the view was great!
There are a few stairs to take to get up to the place, so be prepared to sweat a little taking your luggage up
4.7
lovely little private spot and a unique stay. very cozy and clean. the staff are lovely. we even had our own private rooftop terrace.
wifi is only in one area of the camere. not a problem for us but be aware of this.
if you have any accessibility issues, I would not recommend this place just because you have to walk up some stairs. otherwise it is so lovely!
4.7
The view from the terrace is excellent. The location is perfect, very central but quiet. The bathroom is very spacious and the shower wonderful.
It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, but in Italy the space is small and it was ok to share the fridge and coffee maker with others.
4.7
A hand-hewn stone abode with gorgeous views and a touching and authentic back story like few you may encounter in a life-time. All nestled in Vernazza and the UNESCO protected site of Le Cinque Terre. A place of unique beauty and impact. Signor Giuliano, his nephew Luri, and staff, define Hospitality from proper Wifi to bottles of cold water in the fridge, no aspect of caring is neglected here.
