About this apartment rental
DISCOVER BEAUTIFUL AND AFFORDABLE KEOWEE KEY! A great private getaway or wonderful quiet vacation spot - with 3 pools (2 outdoor, 1 heated indoor), 14 lighted tennis courts, 4 lighted pickle ball courts, 2.7 mile lakeside leisure trail, 2.5 mile wooded walking trail, lakeside beaches, shuffleboard, marinas (with boat, kayak, paddleboard rentals), and more! Keowee Key, located in South Carolina's "Golden Corner" in the foothills, has been called "the hidden gem of the South." Ideal-living editors chose Keowee Key Golf and Country Club as one of the BEST LAKE COMMUNITIES, BEST BOATING COMMUNITY AND BEST COLLEGE TOWN COMMUNITY in 2016.
This charming 2BR/1BA condo unit in the popular Captain's Walk section of Keowee Key has just been refurbished and is the closest condo to any pool in the entire resort community. The "Southside" pool, adjacent to this unit, has been recently renovated with brand new pool deck, cabana, & bathrooms. The all new South Flagship Walking Trail, which stretches from the South Gate to the Club Gate,(about 2 miles) is literally steps from this front door.
This ground floor end unit has easy access with no stairs, and convenient parking at the end of the sidewalk. Our building has only 4 units and is situated off to itself near the pool, so it feels very private and not too clustered in with other buildings. A patio shade on one end of the deck adds even more privacy.
You will be nestled between the pines in a comfortable and refreshed interior. Our renovations include all new flooring throughout, fresh paint throughout, new HVAC, new appliances, and updated bathroom, making this space fresh for our guests' enjoyment, while still cozy and charming. You will have a lovely shaded outdoor deck (approx 20'x5'), where we have finished off the "ceiling" so that you'll have covered enjoyment and a little protection from rain -- what a great way to start your day!
We live in the community (about 300 yards away) and also use this for our family & friends, so we've putting a lot of TLC into it to make it comfortable and inviting, like part of our home. (Our other properties are Vrbo 723258 and Vrbo 1043239 if you want to read our reviews there - or if you also want to consider a trip to Asheville).
We are happy to let you use our canoe, which is on a rack at one of the neighborhood picnic/marina areas. We also have life vests in the condo. We want your stay to be as fun filled and relaxed as possible, and getting out on the lake in the canoe is wonderful for that. For that, we our decor is relaxed and comfortable - a place where you can put your feet up without worrying!
This retreat is only 2 hours from Atlanta or Charlotte, 1-1/2 hour from Asheville, NC or less than 1 hour from Greenville, SC. Many fantastic waterfalls are within a short drive, as well as the Chattooga River with world class whitewater where there are professional guides that will take you down the river! A short drive will take you to the lovely mountain towns of Cashiers and Highlands for hiking, antique shopping, dining and mountain fun. For your everyday needs such as grocery, Seneca or Walhalla are each an easy 11+/_ miles away. The charming college town of Clemson, SC - and the beautiful Clemson University campus are 14 miles away, also an easy, no-traffic drive. PERFECT FOR TIGER TAILGATING!

Sherri is a terrific host. We can't wait to come back!

We didn't get to enjoy any of the pools or anything around because we were there for a celebration of life that was at another place.
It was a good place for us to stay because it was close to where we had to go.

A quiet retreat for an extended weekend visiting family in Walhalla, Cashiers, and Glenville.

This property was perfect for our stay. We stayed here while looking at properties around the Lakes. Everything is exactly as described in a beautiful location. Sherri was great in communicating with us as needed, she went out of her way in communicating with our friends/family back home to set up a care package for us. I would definitely recommend this property.

Area and location are great however the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The online pictures are deceiving. Very disappointing.

I enjoyed a couple days in this beautiful area. The proximity to the pool was a big plus and walking trail is right out the front door.

This was a phenomenal place to stay. The pool was right behind us. There was plenty of extra activities to do with the kids. The owner was very responsive to all my questions and that is HUGE!! I will definitely look at coming here again.

All was excellent!! Special kudos to Sherri-she was responsive and helpful each time I called during the booking and stay.
The setting was relaxing and neighbors very friendly.
No complaints, but it is a long drive (9-10 hrs.). We were fortunate to have reasonable traffic and no construction delays. All a great experience.

We stayed here while we looked at properties in the community. The place checked all of our boxes and it made it very easy to jump on the walking trail daily. Nice updates and appliances.

The back porch was so thick with leaves I thought I was going to be snake bit.
Coffee table is glass & serious trip hazard.
No wash cloths provided. Contact stated she was not providing such as they get stained by makeup.
No trash bags provided.
Fridge was terribly dirty.
Back bedroom is freezing while rest is comfortable.
Was confirmed to stay another day but was then asked to leave asap as new tenants were on their way.

This condo was the perfect size for my husband and myself. We almost invited another couple but I’m glad we didn’t because it would have been tight and there wouldn’t have been much privacy. The 2nd bedroom would work best for a child. The kitchen was well stocked and we had no problem cooking our meals there. While the condo isn’t new, it has charm and is cozy. We enjoyed the electric fireplace. It was our first stay at Lake Keeowee community and we fell in love with it. People are so friendly and welcoming! We joined the fitness center for our month stay. I liked the yogipalates class and enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. There is so much to do within the area. We hiked almost every day to waterfalls, lakes and mountain summits. There are numerous wineries, distilleries and breweries in the area. Also you’re about a 1/2 hr to Georgia and North Carolina so close enough for day trips. I highly recommend Lake Keeowee. Be sure to take the canoe out and also walk the 2 1/2 mile trail by the lake, especially at night with the lights.

Great Stay!!
We used Sherri’s condo for overflow for 4 adult children, during a family reunion.
Her condo was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable!! All over great stay. Sherri was quick to respond to any questions. We hope to be able to stay at Sherri’s again next year!!

A relaxing trip
The condo had everything I needed for my stay. It was close to the pool which my youngest son liked. It was easy to rent a boat from the boat dock and they made sure you were able to use the controls. The only problem with the condo was trash was left hanging on the door and coffee grounds were left in the pot.

Perfect vacation’
We booked last minute and had the perfect vacation! Very prompt and helpful communication from the owner. The property was clean and comfortable in a well maintained safe neighborhood. Lake Keowee was beautiful! There was beach access, pools, lakeside leisure trail, marina with boat rentals and a ship’s store. 20 minutes to Lake Jocassee and Clemson.

Nice golfing and boating community
We enjoyed our weekend stay. This is a small place with 2 queen beds that were comfortable. The rental unit is a bit dated and not a luxury rental but clean and perfectly adequate. The walking trails in the community are hilly so be aware of you were planning to bike. We were a bit disappointed that they were too hilly for an older couple to want to tackle. Boat rentals nearby were easy and good for a boating day in the lake. Not too many restaurants in the area but we enjoyed The Nearby Lighthouse restaurant which had an excellent prime rib and corn bread. The Cabana had good Buffalo quesadillas for lunch and a place to dock your boat at lunch time. The two tennis courts in the community by the Marina have artificial grass and were littered with tree debris and unusable. We did not then try the courts at the fitness club. We would return if we want to have another overnight stay for a boating weekend. Thank you!

Our Home for 3 1/2 months
It was wonderful! We stayed here while waiting for our home to become vacant. The time went by so quickly and the people were all so friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities. Our host, Sherri, was the best! I would so recommend this property.

Good unit in a nice community
The unit was a good home base for us trekking back and forth to Clemson (20 min +/-). The community was very large, which surprised us a bit, and made the "lakeside" experience a little less than we expected. On the plus side, the unit was well-kept and fit the bill for us as a place to sleep. On the slight negative side, the unit was tight quarters and situated close to a road with a surprising amount of traffic noise during the day (especially since its a gated community). Not a big nuisance by any means, just surprising - and it WAS quiet at night. Amenities are not close - except for the pool which for us was moot given it was November. If it were summer, I image that would be a good treat. We were able to rent a boat on Lake Keowee for the afternoon which was a nice activity. Hats off to Vince at the Marina. Owner was accommodative and the value was good.

Adorable, safe neighborhood!
Right by a golf course and lakes. Not much in terms of food or shopping immediately nearby (most places are nearby in Seneca, about 12-15 min car ride away), but I’d stay here again because the neighborhood is excellent and the townhouse itself is cute, clean and comfortable.

Lake Life
We love the Keowee Key development, the trails, the lake, the marina and the well planned residential development which preserved the natural beauty of the area. Hope to play the golf course in the future. This condo is centrally located to all the activities and the owner is very responsive. Would recommend for a couple or couple with children.

Great condo at a beautiful property
We spent nearly a week at Keowee Key and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The condo made a great 'home base' and we spent our time boating, fishing, swimming, hiking in NC and visiting waterfalls. Several nice waterfront restaurants in the area as well.

Amenities abound. 3 Pool, lake, fitness center. Next trip we are bringing the clubs. Very nice & relaxing. A real gem.

Okay for the price
Basic Condo with all the necessary items to enjoy your stay. Sherri was very accommodating but the cleanliness of the condo was subpar. Needs a thorough cleaning, especially floors/baseboards and a new shower liner. Also, toilet paper is given out one roll at a time which is from the pandemic, but honestly, I don't want to call every day to get a new roll. We had 4 people and there weren't any tissues, so the TP went fast. We bought our own. Like I said, Sherri was very nice and accommodating but too many things we didn't want to deal with on vacation.

Very cute little condo, just the perfect amount of space for my husband, myself and our two kiddos! Too cold for the outdoor pool but we were able to utilize the indoor pool twice during our stay:) beautiful setting/neighborhood! Would definitely book this condo in the future:)
