About this house rental

The perfect getaway for couples and families and also convenient for business travelers and those just passing through! Private and pet-friendly, our restored 1933 bungalow is on 18 acres, so you feel like you are in the country, yet you are just minutes from I-70 and shopping/entertainment, like The Legends and Azura Amphitheater. Get your best night of sleep on a plush mattress with lavender-scented pillows. Cook in a full kitchen or grill out back. Soak in the bath tub, relax on the front porch, walk the paths, let the kids play and take delight in a few surprise features. We have Google Fiber and a dedicated work space for those booking for business.

Our home is a convenient 20-minute drive from the airport and downtown KCMO; 30 minutes to Fort Leavenworth; and 30 minutes to Lawrence, home of The University of Kansas.

Our guests have told us that we have thought of everything to make their stay complete! A fully prepped kitchen -- check. Bath salts and soaps -- check. Slippers at the door and cozy throws throughout -- check. We specialize in making a stay with us memorable, and we invite you to experience the difference for yourself.

This home was very comfortable and convenient for our family. We were just a couple of miles from just about anything we needed yet still surrounded by nature. We woke up the first morning to a family of deer enjoying the front yard. The visitor shrine in the closet was clear and we enjoyed the cute mouse house that was in the dinning area. The home was decorated very cute.

we absolutely loved this cute little farmhouse. It was close to the Country Stampede and to Legends. We loved having a place to go hang out in a peaceful neighborhood. We will rent again if we come back next year.

Stayed here with my 2 year old son, husband, dogs, and cats when we were in the process of moving to Texas from Iowa. Perfect spot for everyone to relax and great property to get the dogs some exercise in the morning before we got back on the road.

The house was very well decorated and clean. The location was very peaceful and quiet yet close to many options for restaurants, shopping, etc.. During our long weekend stay we saw deer crossing through the yard and well as multiple hawks in the large trees located on the property. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to the area to visit family.

This farm-house is truly a hidden gem with just the right mix of privacy and access to activities and the highway! We loved our time walking the fields with our dog and enjoying the wonderfully restored and appointed historic home.

We wanted to stay for a few more days! This property is so cute and comfortable. Sitting outside as the sun sets, or in the morning with coffee, listening to the birds and the insects was so peaceful. Watching the farmer next door working in the evenings, and the neighbors walking by with their dogs was also fun. The bed was comfortable and the shower was really nice. Thank you for sharing it.

We adored this little farmhouse that has been thoughtfully refinished. The pictures are just as advertised. You really do get the sense that you are in the country but are only five minutes away from the Legends. We had a very relaxing stay and enjoyed the neighborhood cats and ducks!

We stayed one night with our two kids and two dogs. The property was perfect for our needs. 5 minutes from Legends and just a few minutes to the interstate, you can’t beat the location. The house was adorable, appointed with everything we needed for a one-night stay. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating as well. We would absolutely recommend.

From the moment I walked in, I just came saying "This is SO cute!" "Look at this....look at this..." This home was so well thought out. The ability to see from front to back was extra nice. We went to dinner, then returned for long conversations sitting it the sweet living room. We are already talking about renting here again.

We stayed at the house with the intention of attending a concert close by. 2 hours before the show was suppose to start, we received notice the concert was canceled. Super bummed but we stayed at the house and had a run of fun. Especially liked sitting by the fire to end the night. Thank you for a memomorable night.

We had a quick stay as we passed through town and definitely recommend the farmhouse! Everything was very clean and exactly as pictured/described. Check in was easy and the home was easy to find. The location is peaceful, yet still close to many restaurants and shopping options. After a long day in the car, my kids loved that there were puzzles and games for guests to use. Beds were comfortable, there were plenty of pillows and blankets to use, kitchen was well stocked, and bathroom had plenty of towels. As someone sensitive to perfumes, I especially appreciated that this home uses more natural hand soaps/cleaning products.

Best VRBO stay ever

This place was just stellar. It was super clean, decorated well, and just so comfortable. We only stayed for eight hours because we were on a cross country road trip and trying to avoid a blizzard. In those eight hours I entered a beautiful home, slept well, and took a wonderful shower. My daughter(13) found the listing and I told her the pictures were going to be nicer than the actual place- not true. This is the first time I stayed where the pictures correctly represented the experience. I give it an 11 out of 10 rating

The farmhouse was a great location for a mid-winter getaway to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday. Andrea was great to work with and we really enjoyed the morning yoga session that she led. It's an old (but charming) house and we chose the coldest 2 days in recent history (-5 degrees when we checked out), but there were lots of comfy blankets and a well-stocked kitchen to keep us warm and cozy.

My husband and I are working from anywhere and our trip for the week took us to Kansas City. The house is great! It has been remodeled perfectly with wonderful furnishings. It is located on a very quiet street. The houses are fairly far apart with a lot of land for roaming. The property owners live next door but we never saw them (to our knowledge) yet they were very responsive to any questions we may have. If you are looking for a well-appointed property on a quiet location, yet close to all the necessities, I highly recommend this property.

I was seeking a small, private house for a meditative retreat. Not only was this home perfect for an escape, the acreage and pond behind the house were a bonus for peaceful morning and evening walks. I've rented VRBOs for many years and can honestly say I have never met hosts as gracious as the owners. They go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. I will not hesitate to return to this property.

We were only able to stay one night on our cross country move, but would have loved to stay longer. The farmhouse was beautiful- very clean with every amenity one could need. Great property for our toddler to run around outside before getting back in the car. Truly unique and beautiful house- we would highly recommend to anyone traveling to the KC area. Owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

There are not enough good words to describe this property and owner. Thanks to her for an amazing, therapeutic stay in a lovely property, where her good eye and impeccable taste made things so enjoyable. She thought of everything, and I’m grateful. From my first entry via the back door, under the string lights she left on for me, I was in love with her mix of vintage and modern. The views out the windows were beautiful and peaceful, the bed so comfy, and that tub! Oh. The tub. The kitchen has everything, even basic stock in the fridge. Come prepared to shop from her locally sourced, natural items on the open shelving. Owner is friendly, responsive, and nearby. I can’t recommend strongly enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The house is gorgeous, the owner Andrea is so accommodating for everything a bride to be needs before her big day. My photographer went wild with all of the beautiful areas on this property to take photos of me and my husband before our wedding day. The carriage house, the chippy paint textures of the barn, the open field were all perfect photo opportunities. I am so happy I chose for my bridesmaids and I to stay the night before our wedding at her home and my husband and I to stay here the night of our wedding. It’s a beautiful home!

We stayed in this charming farmhouse two weekends in a row and loved every minute! Andrea has thought of everything to make this feel like you're at home. A fantastically well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, a luxurious bathroom, and grounds that are beautiful. Added to that, it's close to town! We will definitely be back!

This place was great. In the country but very close to town (20min from downtown, right by the Legends and all that development). Super cute inside, we had 7 people stay comfortably - 6 adults and 1 baby. Our kid loved the slides, the book nook, and the chickens, and just wandering around outside in the cool yard. She saw fireflies for the 1st time! Awesome bathroom, well stocked kitchen. Cool decor, nice hosts. We will stay here every time we visit family in KC in the future, assuming it's available.

With four kids, it can be hard to find the right kind of place for a getaway. This was the perfect “retreat,” quiet with lots of room for kids to roam. I went for a run, and we all enjoyed the onset of spring out on the deck. The home is so tastefully decorated, with many nice touches. Clean, comfortable, and “eco-chic,” this is a perfect spot for people that want a getaway with anything you might need for a lovely stay. We will definitely be back. Alone sans kids or with kids!
