Best hotel stay ever! The staff is the nicest I ever came across. I definitely will be going back.
Nothing

Staff were exemplary.
Room 202 which we had for most of the stay was perfect.
Not the hotels problem but the beach was very dirty most days.
Room 103 had some issues with plumbing and the WiFi reception wasn't great, kept dropping out. Also no view out the window.

it’s natural and simplistic beauty - it is simply gorgeous
there’s nothing I can really complain about, we’re on a remote island, but we did not get hot water in the shower. which was probably for the best given my sunburn!

amazing location on the quiet part of the beach, not as commercial and noisy as at El Nido town, perfect spot for us as an escape from the city. amazing sunset spot as well, we spent 3 days at the hotel to watch sunset, just can’t get enough of it
the only thing I can whine about is the hot water at night, as it uses solar panel, the water just can’t get hot enough when at night

The staff were incredibly hospitable. The location is perfect with insane sunset views and the food was amazing. We would do it all over again!
The pool could have been a little cleaner

We stayed for three nights and loved it. The view is amazing, the crew is really nice and helpful. it’s close to activities and El Nido town, but you get the tranquility you want away from town. Really nothing to complain about, it’s definitely a must book and stay at least two nights.
Honestly nothing to complain about. Everything was top and you do really feel you are at an exclusive place.
Just a few small things to improve:
- The dinner menu can be improved and extended, but the springrolls are insanely good, best I’ve had. A must try.
- The restaurant does not have proper ventilation for the kitchen.

The room was clean and big for a couple. It is comfortable
The room seems to be very expensive. Everything is expensive compared to other that we saw when we went out, food was good but again expensive.

loved the boutique style off the hotel. views from the restaurant and the bar where amazing.
bedrooms and bathroom very comfortable.
staff very friendly & helpful.
would recommend to anyone
nothing not to like

the design is fabulous, Art Deco details on the bar terrace and in the restaurant/rooms
availability of staff and fast response
dinner food was very good but very slow (read below my comment on the kitchen)
bar was very nice and cocktail amazing the bartender knows her job
big rooms and quiet
there is room for improvement;
1. I have read about amazing breakfast, breakfast is far from being amazing, is slow with low selection and takes ages to be served. plus coffe and Thea was always served once we finished to eat. is not a boutique hotel service. Furthermore, the restaurant has no openable window, and is such a pity because is right in front of the sea, with a broken hood you end up smelling like fried chicken (not joking, my clothes and hair were smelling every time).
2. room are huge but there is no wardrobe to place your staff, only a tiny space in the bathroom, I strongly suggest to put a wardrobe
3. there should put timing for the swimming pool since the room are right in front, if someone swim at 6.30 you can hear them

Awesome location on the beach, nice food at the restaurant, amazing staff always helpful.
Overpriced for the experience - the hotel doesn’t really offer anything apart from the location, nice rooms, staff and breakfast. For the price there should be extra things available, e.g. transport into town or deals on tours.

It is a very beautiful hotel with a great interior design and a beautiful view. It is close to the city with an amazing view of the islands and also the sunset. The staff was really nice, helpful, always there for us.
I never understood why are there no sunbeds. The hotel has a small pool, but it is really small one and no sunbeds, so spending there the whole day would be a little challanging since you have no place to go … the beach is nearby, but nobody is actually (also other people, not just hotel guests) is staying on it.

- located just out of town. We rented a scooter and enjoyed all the flexibility you get with it
- staff are absolutely amazing- so friendly and welcoming
- nice and quiet location
- we had breakfast included and it was good quality
- pool is too small to hang out
- beach front is nice for picture taking but not much else

Nothing! It was so nice we extended another night :D

We had a great time and the hotel was beautiful and the views were breathtaking.
The breakfast was awesome as well. The buffet had a variety of everything that would be perfect for your taste to eat in the morning.
The location was right next to the beach, yet the rooms were noise free and calm. It was really relaxing both inside and outside of the hotel.
The hotel and the rooms were well decorated and very clean. A very well managed property i must say.
They also arranged our transfer to the next hotel and they staffs were amazing and friendly. Over all, it was an amazing experience.

Very nice hotel right on the beach.
Arrived at 4 pm and the room wasn't ready. This, after I was messaged asking what time I would arrive and made felt I was made to rush to check in to my room. They should have told me that the room wasn't ready.
Also, after a few days and it was time to move to a different hotel, they would not let me leave because they insisted that I leave my ID with them for my motorcycle that I had rented. Mind you, I wasn't told that I would need to leave my ID initially when I rented the motorcycle in the first place and they had all my information from checking in to their hotel already. I did not want to leave my ID because they were charging me 600 pesos when they were being charged by the motorcycle owner 400 pesos. I knew I would need my ID to ride to a different motorcycle rental to secure the lower 400 peso price. Then, I would ride back with my ID to Frangipani and drop off the motorcycle I had initially rented. I kept trying to tell this to the front desk lady but she seemed to be hard of understanding. She was on the other line with her manager at the time who insisted she didn't want to talk to me.
This is my second time staying here and the problem is always the same. The first time, I understood they were starting back up from the pandemic and there was bound to be some issues. This time, 4 months later, it's inexcusable. And holding me hostage is criminal.
This could easily be one of the better boutique style hotels in the area, but unfortunately the customer service is horrible.

facilities, the room and the scent! and the bed is really 5star!
kinda disappointed with the pool..its not what we expected, and the dining area, you’ll smell food after you dine.

We were met at the airport by the ever smiling Miss Clydel, and from then on our el Nido experience became truly exceptional.
Thanks for the assist on the magical dinner celebrating our wedding anniversary.
I think my wife fell in love with me all over again.

The view from the seaview room is just amazing. The staff is ultra competent, professional and efficient. The hotel is small, intimate and confortable. Fantastic breakfast with the view, and the cocktails at the bar are a piece of heaven.
Nothing appart from the fact that they don't accept credit card.

The location was perfect, particularly for sunset. A short tricycle ride into town and perfectly placed for exploring surrounding beaches.
The rooms were clean and well appointed with comfortable beds and incredible views.
The restaurant/breakfast team were super friendly and quality of the food was generally very good for dinner.
At check-in we were told we could only pay by cash or via an international bank transfer. There was no way to pay by card. This was not indicated anywhere on booking.com or the hotel website.
They also forgot to ask for a security deposit at check-in. This resulted in them asking 2 of the 3 rooms in our party, at separate times, to leave an incidentals deposit. Both parties paid 6,000 pesos each. They provided a receipt to only one of them. At checkout, they refused to return one 6,000 peso payment (the one they didn’t provide a receipt for). They refused to use the obvious CCTV in reception as a way for us to prove the money had been paid. It was conveniently out of order due to technical difficulties.
Given that our group had also purchased a hugely expensive private catamaran trip as part of our stay through the same group that owns the hotel, it was a hugely disappointing outcome. Disgraceful in fact.
Would not stay again. Would not recommend. And, if you decide to do, make sure and get receipts for and check absolutely everything charged to your room.

wifi service needs to improve

Frangipani is thoughtfully designed to be secluded and relaxing. Chin was super helpful with paperwork and guidance while on the island. Jenn, the accountant, was really nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant was a treat. Such good and fresh Filipino food. They also accommodated us with veggie kare kare. The wine selection was also delicious and well priced. We loved our stay and will be back!

Really excellent stay, pricey but the staff were amazing and views fantastic.

Location is great, views from room 301 were amazing, service was outstanding. Our stay unfortunately coincided with the Covid19 pandemic, which affected the pleasure of our trip. However if it wasn't for the hotel's staff (Jane in particular) who informed us immediately of the closure of Manila airport, we would had been stuck in El Nido for a month.
It is a cosy little place, a small slice of paradise. The beach in front of the hotel stretches for kilometres and depending on the level of the water you can walk to the famous Las Cabanas beach from the hotel.
A general problem in the Philippines is ants, which we experienced in many hotels including Frangipano. It is not the fault of the hotel, nor is it a cleanliness issue.
