About this villa rental
Welcome to the idyllic 'Villa Suerte' situated in the rural heart of Lajares - the Surf & Cultural hub of Fuerteventura. We are perfectly located in our tranquil spot, adjacent to the incredible volcano and secluded from busy roads and neighbours, yet within easy access of all amenities in Lajares.
Amongst the many highlights, guests are particularly impressed by the:
Beautifully appointed interior • Large Saltwater Heated Swimming Pool • Stunning Botanic Garden • WiFi & Entertainment Media • Morrocan Courtyard
All 385sqM of the spacious interior is stylishly furnished to suit the guest with an eye for detail. The layout is optimised for alfresco living with outdoor dining, lounge, courtyard and cocktail/reading areas which are all weather-protected. All four bedrooms and living areas also have french doors opening directly out to the Pool area.
To ensure your comfort, the villa features high vaulted wooden ceilings, making the interior cool inside, even on the warmest days. All our beds are of the highest quality available to ensure a restful sleep and all bedrooms have insect/mosquito window screens fitted.
The solar-heated swimming pool features a saltwater filtration system - which is ideal for the environment and skin. Unlike chlorine, saltwater does not affect the environment and it is hypo-allergic, thereby avoiding any skin or eye irritation.
Villa Suerte also features it’s own huge 3500sqM gardens. Meticulously designed & maintained, the number and array of beautiful species is unparalleled on this island. These gardens are encircled by traditional Canarian Volcanic Stone walls, and parking is secured with an electrically operated Entrance Gate.
All facilities for daily living are provided (please explore our pages). Complementary drink and snacks are also provided on arrival in addition to a selection of toiletries in each bathroom. The lovely village of Lajares is just a 3 min drive (15 mins walk), where you will find a selection of shops for all your essentials, including a well stocked supermarket, restaurants, cafés, bars and shops. All activities are also at your finger tips here, as we are situated next to the volcano and walking trails, camel rides and within rapid access of all 3 coastlines of Northern Fuerteventura.
We look forward to welcoming you to our unique villa and ensuring you have an amazing stay in Fuerteventura.

This was our second stay at this lovely villa. We stayed for a month and we did not want to go home ! It is a spacious villa and brilliant outside space with comfortable chairs to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the fantastic sunsets. We did eat in quite a bit as the quality and price of fresh food and wine available at the local supermarket was outstanding. Just a lovely villa and fantastic pool to have lovely memories of.

Quiet and well equipped villa .

We rented the villa for a second time and are still absolutely satisfied!! It is very clean and very well equipped, the matresses are comfortable , it's quite and pivate. There is nothing we missed!! We'll be back in March!

This is the second time we stayed at this amazing villa and have already booked a third trip.
The reason I haven’t rated this as 5* this time is the pool. We had issues with it (it went green) and it took a week for the pool guy to bring it around.
4.8
This villa was perfect for everyone to have space to enjoy & ideal for our needs! We would definitely recommend this property & location! A car would be recommended to enjoy the island!

We enjoyed our stay at villa Suerte. The villa is well appointed with excellent areas inside and out, just as shown on the Vrbo website. The pool is excellent and there is no chlorine used only salt. You will need a car to stay here, but all the best parts of the north of the island are within a short drive. A place to relax and enjoy.

The villa was very pleasant and set in a tranquil location away from the the centre of Lajares at the base of the volcano. Unfortunately we spent most of our time away from the villa looking around the island and at the beach in the near by town of El Cotillo. We had been unfortunate with the weather at the villa and although bright and sunny, we caught exceptionally breezy conditions for the time of year and blowing in across the exposed area around the villa, so made it difficult to sit out by the pool area. The pool itself was lovely, clean and pleasantly warm, but getting out into the stong winds made you feel very cold. Also we managed to pick a time of year when there had been issues with local water supply and so there was no running water at the villa and so when at the villa, we made do with buying large bottles of water from the local supermarket for washing and toilets etc. We appreciate that these things are outside of the control of the owners, and am sure it would have been a more pleasant stay under more normal circumstances.
The local town of Lajares was pleasant with a good selection of friendly restaurants and shops and travel to the coasts at Corralejo and El Cotillo was quick and easy. All in all we had an enjoyable stay despite everything.

This was undoubtedly one of the most exceptional holiday properties we’ve stayed in (and we’ve stayed in a few!) Beautifully furnished with comfortable furniture indoors and out and every possible gadget needed in the kitchen too. Extremely comfortable beds and plenty of places to sit both in and out of the sun. The saltwater heated pool was an added bonus and the pool man kept it in perfect order while housekeeper, Emma was very attentive and the whole property was beautifully clean. We had one small issue with plumbing which was dealt with by Andrew within half an hour from England and help arrived and all was fine. We would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again in a future visit to our favourite Canary island. Graham & Gail H

We had a great stay at the villa. Our kids loved the courtyard and all the rooms being entered directly from the courtyard. It is in a great location with easy access to lots of good restaurants, cafes and bakers in Lajares and then very close to a number of different beaches. We did have a little issue with the wi-fi being slow and tempermental but because we were on holiday it didn't bother us too much but would have have been an issue if we needed a reliable source such as if we were working.
4.8
This villa is perfect. I’ve stayed in it many times. The location is peaceful and on the edge of the volcano trails. A steady walk will take you to the centre of Lajares.
Looking forward to returning next year!

Oh my! What an amazing house - unconventional design, with all rooms circuling an interior courtyard, so perfect for larger groups as there's ability for all to have private access to the outside space. There was just the two of us, so three rooms unused, but we happily rattled around.
Everything is so well appointed and thought about - furniture and decor is high end and the owners have definitely worked through and supplied everything you might need in any eventuality - even down to a needle and thread! Nothing has been missed.
The outside area is amazing, very comfortable, always sunny and the pool was brilliant - a decent size to actually be able to swim in it.
This is definitely the best villa we have ever stayed in and would love to return.
We dropped one star re accuracy of description, solely because the TV did not have English channels and the wifi wasn't strong enough to host our fire stick, but after a few hours of frustratingly trying and a call from the owner (thank you) we settled with Netflix and Prime already loaded onto the TV - I could get YouTube to cast to the TV, but for some reason could not mirror my phone in its entirety. Like I say, after we realised this, we were happy with the compromise. We don't mean to sound like saddos, but as publicans, we never have the opportunity at home to watch TV at home!
The village is lovely, some great bars - we loved the hippy vibe at the Fuerte Vida for a beer in a frozen glass (food looked amazing too, but we missed their dining times), we also rate the Return Restobar for amazing pizzas.
Thank you for sharing your home - we truly felt like millionaires for the week!
Oh and we also loved the true independence of the stay, all info is supplied to self check in and out.
Absolutely brilliant x

This property took our breath away when we arrived - it was simply amazing. It really is a home from home and has absolutely everything you need/want. I would highly recommend this property, so much so, that we are wanting to visit again.

Fantastic villa with lots of living space inside and out. Beautiful pool, don’t be put off by it being sea water, it didn’t dry your skin or smell of chemicals. The solar heating works well. The villa is difficult to find but make sure you download What three words app before leaving and the owner will send three words that take you straight to the villa. Would definitely book again.

Just what we needed! An amazing Villa in a quiet location. The setting is lovely, the gardens with the various cactus set the courtyard style villa off so well. Having the rooms set around a cool courtyard provided everyone with space the the presentation of the villa is super. Everything you need is here. Contact with the owners to ask a question was super easy and responses quick. Thank you. I would highly recommend the Villa to everyone and we will aim to use the villa again when we return.

Quality villa
This is a fantastic quality villa,, we were a family of 5 adults and 2 children. No negative comments, great communication from Andrew.
We all enjoyed a great break. A car is essential for local supermarkets and nearby beached.
We would book this villa again in a heartbeat.

The villa is build in a typicall Spanish style. That means it has a little garden part in the center. There you even have a small pond with fish. It is very beautiful. The rooms in the villa are well designed and ensure that we felt at home directly. The garden area is quite big. We followed the invitation to take a walk around it and explore the vegetation. Right behind the house, we took off for our first hike to the vulcanos. Groccery shopping, shops and bars are just around the corner. All in all we had a wonderful and relaxing time. Thank you!

Our third stay in this house, formerly known as Pangur Ban, which it always will be to us! It has new owners now but the house is truly fabulous. Very classy linens, super comfy bed, extremely well equipped kitchen and amazing outside space. Emma keeps it immaculately clean and we had a change of linens and a clean half way through our stay.
It is a little hard to find but well worth the trip up the unmade road for the peace and quiet. A fantastic pool adds to the stay.

Perfect family & friends experience with a lot of space for everyone. 4 sleeping rooms and a huge kitchen/ living room, little patio connecting all rooms in the middle and a great pool & garden. Kids loved it a lot. We'll highly recommend this house to groups of 6-8 people.

Superb space in this well presented house. Outstanding outside space and swimming pool. Excellent kitchen and equipment. Total peace and quiet during the day and at night. We liked it very much.
Master bedroom and ensuite were superb, as were other bathroom facilities.
Location is up an unsurfaced road for the last 50 metres, along a few short unadopted roads. Fine for an ordinary car. The result is that you are in the very quiet and peaceful outskirts of Lazares.
Only limitations were TV (limited range of UK channels) and slow Internet (normal in Lazares). But emails and web searches were fine. DVD player worked. A slightly confusing mix of remote controls.
I would recommend this property to others.

Poor management
This villa deserves a 5* rating but was let down by poor management. The villa is beautiful, very clean, very well equipped, spacious, lovely well maintained pool (which is also beautifully lit at night) and well maintained garden. There has been a lot of attention to detail. The only negative thing I have to say about the villa itself is that it would really benefit from air conditioning. The fans provided are not enough at night time when the temperature rarely falls below 20 C even in October.
Villa management on the other hand doesn't deserve 1 *- it was none existent during our stay (Oct 2019). We arrived at the villa shortly after midnight having stopped off to buy a few groceries en route. After a long days travelling, we went straight to bed. In the morning, we quickly discovered that our passports, driving licenses, credit cards and all our cash was missing. They were all together in a sealed plastic pouch. We didn't know whether we had been pickpocketed in the supermarket/ been burgled or if they had somehow fallen from my bag when paying for the groceries. We phoned the villa manager to ask for directions to the police station and to ask if she would translate if necessary. She said she couldn't help, but would try to find someone and would phone us back. When she hadn't phoned back after about 45 mins, we decided to try to find the police station ourselves and drove to the nearest/ largest town. The road to the police station was blocked off and there was a one way system so and we called her again to ask for directions and to ask if she had found anyone to help with translation over the phone. She said she couldn't find anyone who could help us. We eventually found the police station and had to wait for an interpreter. They were all very kind, but it took several hours to sort out. When we got back to the villa, I phoned Emma once more because we had no WiFi signal and I needed to find the number for our credit card provider to cancel our credit cards. We also needed contact details for the British Consulate in Feurtaventura. Emma didn't answer the call, but I left a message explaining the problem. I asked her if she would Google the numbers for me and phone me back, or let me know the password for WiFi at the villa. She never returned my call. She never once got in touch the whole time to find out if we were OK. We couldn't even send a text to the villa owners as they only correspond through the HomeAway website. Useless.

The villa was beautifully laid out, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had great relaxation areas. The bedrooms/ bathrooms were large and well equipped, with comfortable beds. Great outdoor seating/ dining options. The living room/ kitchen area was huge, with books, games and dvd's. Large pool and plenty of good loungers etc. And the cactus gardens were incredible, well kept and really beautiful. The location was great, really close to the local village/supermarket/cafes/shops, and 15min to larger towns with big shops, beach etc.We had multiple communications with Emma the property manager and Frank the pool technician, who were both extremely helpful, friendly and professional. Unfortunately there were a few issues with the villa that affected our stay. Firstly, we booked this villa on the basis of it being listed with Air Conditioning, however after booking we found out that this meant only fans, which did not cool the air. The fan in the master bedroom was also set to the lowest setting and could not be changed, which meant the room was very hot. The pool was very cold as pool cover was broken, meaning no heat was retained overnight, but Frank was great at resolving this issue for our second week. The wifi was not working and Emma kindly ended up giving us her own wifi router for the week. While extremely clean upon arrival, there were no spare linens or towels available to allow us to change the bedding etc., without contacting Emma. In addition, there were tiny ants throughout the entire villa, including in the beds at times. We purchased ant spray but this was only a short term solution for counters etc. We were informed this was a problem throughout Fuerteventura.Lastly there were animals not mentioned in the listing that required attention. There was a lovely fish pond, but there was a loud consistent beeping noise that couldn't be resolved for about a week, and then the water level began to drop which required it to be filled daily, as well as feeding the fish. There was a resident cat, Pru, who was sweet and friendly, but needed feeding and we had to buy the cat food ourselves. In addition the owner asks that the cat is not let into the fish pond, meaning the doors had to be closed at all times, which was not ideal to keep the place cool. While the facilities and location of this villa were wonderful, these issues were not ideal, and we were left disappointed.

Luxurious Villa & perfect location.
Absolutely fantastic Villa, could not have wanted for more. Pru the Cat an added bonus to make our stay that little bit special. Will be booking again in the very near future. Thank you Andrew & Katherine.

Superb property in an ideal quiet location
This is our second stay at Pangur Ban and if you read other reviews you will see that guests often return. That says everything about this property.
We arrived in June and was welcomed with a fantastic welcome pack of food and goodies. The villa had been cleaned immaculately throughout.
The pool was warm and whilst the details say that it is a saltwater pool (which I am sure it is) you cannot taste the salt
and it is much better than pools loaded with chlorine.
English TV is available here if wanted but we spent most evenings outside enjoying the warm evenings and peacefulness of the surroundings.
The only minor criticism we can make is that the air conditioning consists of ceiling fans and we found that the bedrooms got a bit stuffy. Although we both slept well anyway.
The villa is well equipped and has everything to make your stay enjoyable.
We like the location which is roughly half way between Corralejo and El Cotillo and only a 15 minute drive to each. It is great for local walks to the nearby extinct volcano where it is also possible to enjoy a camel ride.
Pru the cat visits on a daily basis which was great too.
For bird lovers, around the garden we saw Spanish Sparrows, Hoopoe, Southern Grey Shrike, Trumpeter Finch and Berthelots Pipit.
We feel that the rental of the villa represent fantastic value for money and will almost certainly be back for a third time in the near future.
With many thanks to Andrew and Katherine

Excellent House and Location
The house was exactly as stated in the property details. It was very comfortable in a brilliant quiet location.
Having a cat around the house made it feel like home-from-home.
The holiday was wonderful.

Beautiful villa, everything you could ask for . Immaculate and clean throughout. Fab pool and terraces for all weather. Amazing mountain view and sunsets.

Extremely fantastic villa to soend time in, clean, spacious and in a lovely setting.
Fantastic property, six of us lived comfortably for a fortnight, loads of space. The courtyard brought the outside in. The bedrooms were all brilliant and well laid out and plenty of space for clothes. Loved the way it was set with all doors onto pool side and then from other side on to the court yard. The pool area great, enough sunbeds and outside chairs. Pool was heated and loved the no chlorine. A couple of the beds maybe need a revamp, but no way did that spoil anything of the stay. Outside eating area was great too, as half closed in, was great for keeping the wind away while eating! Kitchen was very well equipped and made it easy to eat in too. The viilla was in great surroundin , gardens and outlook of the vilcanoes. Car needed, but nearest local town of lajares, 5 mins in car , 20 min walk. Loved town of El Cotillo and the beach was great for surfing or the nearby lagunes for sunbathing. It was15 mins drive away from the sandy beaches of Corralejo.
Great holiday and would certainly return to this villa and area .

What a lovely place this is. Peaceful villa in a wonderful location.
The villa benefited from a lovely pool area, which we really enjoyed!
The master bedroom was comfortable. there was everything we needed during our stay.
Despite a major general wide water loss. The manager Melissa was on hand to keep us informed and updated.
We walked to the nearest restaurant 722, food was great. This took us approximately 15min. To reach the main village bars and restaurants was about 30 min. Here we used the Pizzeria La Cancela, Restaurante Canela Café both fantastic to eat and relax. El Goloso de Lajares for coffee and cake was lovely too. Small supermarket and Pharmacy in the village which are handy. We would love to return another time. Thank you Andrew, Katherine & Melissa for our wonderful time.

A stunning villa located in the perfect location for a relaxing holiday.
We stayed here as a family for a week on our first visit to Fuerterventura and had a fantastic week. The villa is stunning inside and out with all the amenities provided to make the stay a joy. The location of the villa lends itself to those wanting peace and tranquility, the only noise we heard the whole week was the amusing morning 'call' of a neighbouring donkey from time to time. A car is a must but you are only a 5 min drive from the town of Lajares for small shops and supermarket and 15 mins from the bars/restaurants/fantastic sandy beaches and other touristy delights of Corralejo. If returning to Fuerterventura we would have no hesitation in staying here again......thank you very much😁😁

Another fantastic stay at Pangur ban
We have just returned home from our 4th stay at this beautiful Villa. My family and I love it here and would fully recommend it to those seeking a truly relaxing holiday in wonderful surroundings. The view from the top of the volcanos (next door) are also fantastic.... give it a try.

We had a fantastic holiday and we loved the villa, gardens and location.
The villa was beautiful. I loved the outdoors in doors feel with the central courtyard with pond and palm trees. The children enjoyed playing in it. Children and adults loved the garden and variety of plants, it meant that we easily enjoyed spending time relaxing at the villa.
The swimming pool was lovely and warm which was perfect for my young children. It meant they were happy to stay in it for hours.
The villa was well equipped and it was great to have pool towels supplied.
The location is great as it is very easy to get to great beaches but then return to the tranquility of the villa away from the tourist areas.
We would highly recommend and we hope to return again in the future.
4.8
Relaxing and tranquil experience in a beautifully designed villa
Attention to detail would have enhanced the experience ie: provision of beach towels, the provision of more than one bath towel each and sharp knives.
