About this apartment rental
This delightful, modern, quiet garden flat is in the historic heart of San Terenzo, 150 meters from the sandy beach, on a pedestrian street. Made up of 3 main areas: a fully equipped (dishwasher, washing machine) eat in kitchen leading, through a stone arch, to the evening area, with double bed and sofa bed in the Sitting Room Area. Which opens onto a beautiful Italian garden with lemon and quince trees, perfect for evening meals in the summer, with a dining table and barbecue as well as an outdoor shower.
The shower room is tiled in Bisazza Tiles and has a local slate basin top.
The third area is a separate bedroom, accessed through the garden, with a double bed and wardrobe. There is also a second toilet that can be accessed from the garden.
San Terenzo offers a great array of restaurants, stores and markets. The food is classic Mediterranean, with excellent local sea food caught daily. I will provide you with a location document, with recommendations for places to eat and visit.
There's satellite TV, DVD and an independent heating system (even though temperatures in the apartment rarely fall below 14 C degrees even in winter).

We have been visiting San Terenzo for many years, always staying in the same apartment. It's well equipped, clean, and the layout of accommodation suits our family and guests with whom we travel.
Location is excellent, just a few paces from the beach and a pleasant stroll around the bay to Lerici. Frequent bus connections to La Spezia and Sarzana.

Wunderbar!

Its basic. Nice location, but quite small, very hot At night, not really that comfortable. Beds quite hard, kitchen pretty basic.
Would stay there again to be honest.

This is nice and modern apartment right in the middle of the village of San Terenzo, very Close to the beach. We also really appreciated the Little garden where it was nice to relax in the afternoon.

Nice, comfortable apartment with a small, but lovely garden.
We are so glad we stayed in San Terranzo instead of the Cinque Terra which is incredibly commercial and crowded. Instead, we were in a small town with friendly people and delightful restaurants. With a 20 minute walk you can get to the ferry which will take you on a beautiful trip to the other towns. This is the area that the English poets, Shelley and Byron chose to stay and there is a small park named after Shelley in town.

Beautiful town, lovely apartment
Lovely apartment, well equipped with everything you need. Helpful owners and staff. 2 minutes from seafront. Would definitely use again.

A Great Place and a Great Location
This property was exactly as described and just steps away from great beaches in San Terenzo. It was very clean and equipped with high quality furniture and appliances and kitchen ware. Monia, the manager, was extremely helpful and responded very quickly and effectively to all of our requests. It is further from the Cinque Terre villages than we expected and taking the 30 minute ferry ride to them is quite expensive, especially for us Canadians. However we did find a much cheaper alternative by taking the bus to La Spezia and then the train to Cinque Terre.

Pleasant apartment in the lovely village of San Terenzo only yards from the sea.
This modern apartment was well furnished and with a very comfortable bed, only yards from the sea and local bars and restaurants but in a delightful small Italian town. Very little English spoken but locals very eager to help. The larger and more touristy town of Lerici only 3k scenic seafront walk away where boats leave for the Cinque Terre on a regular basis. Buses to La Spezia run frequently as they do in the other direction to Sazana.
A small enclosed garden comes with the apartment, furnished with new loungers, table and chairs. The apartment manager Monia speaks English and is very helpful.

Perfect location
Perfect location! Perfect holiday town, with sandy beach, warm water, very few foreign tourists, no overcrowding like Cinque Terre. The apartment is modern and well equipped. The lovely, big garden is unfortunately mosquito infested, so out of bounds.

Location could not have been better
This great ground floor apartment was perfect for our family holiday, it was more spacious than the photos suggested, and stayed nice and cool on the midday heat. Under a minute to the beach, great coffee shops and restaurants. San Terenzo is a great location for exploring the Cinque Terra, we even managed a day trip on the train to Florence. I hope we can return someday. Thank you Laurence.

A wonderful slice of life in Italy
I have just returned from a wonderful week here with my 21-year-old daughter. This beautiful apartment is very well equipped and comfortable and we found it remained cool both during the day and at night. Although we ate out a great deal at the excellent local restaurants it was convenient to have a kitchen with decent pans, knives etc to cook the odd meal "at home" and eat at the table in the garden which provides ample shade as well as sun. At night the apartment was very quiet which I appreciated greatly being a light sleeper. We travelled without a car but were able to use the apartment as a base to visit other parts of Liguria such as the Cinque Terre and Tellaro by local bus and ferry - when we were able to tear ourselves away from San Terenzo, that is. The town is a very special place with a pretty local beach that is also excellent for swimming. As well as dining out we enjoyed going out for breakfast or aperitivi in the local bars and found people very friendly. The owner was helpful in correspondence ahead of the stay and provided extensive information prior to our arrival. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner's father who had that rare combination of being both welcoming and unintrusive, providing us with helpful local info. All in all a wonderful stay and we would gladly return.

An excellent apartment
The flat in San Terenzo is very much as described - in a perfect location, with everything you could need just a stones throw away. It is very well equipped and we very much enjoyed the outdoor shower and the garden. The beach is a little crowded for my taste but you can nip out for a swim and back in no time. An added bonus was the delightful company of the owner's parents who could not have been kinder. We took several outings by bus and boat and discovered that La Spezia is suprisingly nice and has great food ( sadly we found the local places to be less enjoyable ). All told a great place to stay though.

A village by the sea offering everything you need for a relaxing break
This apartment lived up to its description - attractive, modern, fully equipped and housed in a traditional building. On our doorstep we had a home made pasta shop, a delicatessen, a fishmonger and as small supermarket with the best bread we have ever tasted. The village is bustling and friendly with a beautifully maintained beach and the choice of lovely restaurants and bars and all within a few minutes from the apartment. We walked to the next village to catch the ferry to the Cinque Terre and spent a fantastic day sailing along the coast and visiting these beautiful villages. I didn't want to come home from this holiday!

Apartment by the Sea
This apartment is ideally located for families with kids. Our's loved to be so close to the beach. Even on days of excursions into the Cinque Terre or to the Magra area, bathing gear and towels were easy and quick to pick for a late afternoon or early evening swim. They enjoyed it a lot.
The apartment itself had everything needed for a week, it accomodated 5 easily thanks to the separate garden room.
Laurence compiled a good list of recommendations, which helps you to organise your stay.
Parking is somewhat a challenge in San Terenzo, you can buy a 1-week parking ticket at the tourist point, offering a quite huge rebate.
San Terenzo is a great place as it is ideally located at the Golfo dei Poeti while having remained the typical Ligurian village.
Fish lovers will enjoy La Creuza de Mauri just around the corner, great dining experience!

If I had the money, I would buy this place for us!
My wife, our 3 children and I stayed here in May. I didn't want to come home, I could have quite happily stayed and lived there for the rest of my days.
The apartment was beautiful, an absolute hidden gem, the interior could be used in a photo shoot for a magazine, it's that pretty. It immediately felt like home, we called it 'home' in conversation. The kitchen/dining area worked well, everything you need is there, cooking wasn't a chore, the living room area too worked well with a young family (easily converting into the sleeping area at night time), my wife and I slept in the garden bedroom (very private). I forgot the garden! The garden is lovely, private, secure, safe. We only used the 'outside' shower (ideal after a beach day) - no need for the posh one in the bathroom - but then we are from the north!!
Now for St Terenzo. Step out of the front door, turn right, walk 40 metres, turn left walk to a zebra crossing, cross, there's the beach (it's that close). The beach and Ligurian sea were brilliant, the kids loved it. Shops, restaurants etc are close by, we were spoiled for choice. St T is lovely, picturesque, no wonder the likes of Byron and Shelley frequented this place 'back in the day'.
Our days consisted of getting up, having breakfast, going to the beach, back 'home' for lunch, back to the beach, back 'home' for a shower then out to a restaurant - perfect.
Last year we stayed elsewhere in Italy, had a hire car and went places, we hired a car this time too, to get to and from St T from Pisa with the same intention of going places, a friend said you won't need a hire car as you won't want to leave St Terenzo to go places - he was right, we didn't.
Having read all this back - I want to go again!

Charming, cool property in a beautiful place
We spent a wonderful week in this property during August with our young children. It’s a delightful, relaxing, cool space, furnished to a high standard, and just a few paces from the seafront. The garden was a welcome benefit, with a lawn and fruit trees. The area is superb, with great restaurants and plenty to do, including ferry trips to the Cinque Terre, walks in the hills and several lovely, picturesque beaches, just a bus ride away. The beach in San Terenzo is great for young children as it is sandy and the water is not immediately deep. Monia, the housekeeper was helpful with parking advice. The proprietor knows the area well and provided excellent tips on restaurants and activities.

Perfect home away from home
For the past two summers I have enjoyed living in this wonderful apartment for a few weeks. It's better than advertised, and it's advertised very well. The apartment is ideally located in a lively little street a few steps from the beach. Equipped with anything you might need, the Coop is just steps away. Even at the beach, I prefer to have a private outdoor space and the garden behind this apartment is perfect.
I spend a few months in Italy every year and I've always avoided beaches as they haven't seemed to be particularly inviting...but having found San Terenzo, and this apartment, I now plan to spend time each year by the sea.
Laurence, the owner is very responsive to inquiries and reservations...and, once you've arrived, Monia is readily available to help sort out any issues. You won't be disappointed.

An unusual apartment in the centre things
We really liked the property and enjoyed the quirky and efficient use of the space. We loved St terenza and loved being in the middle of village life. The property was comfortable and the beds had crisp clean sheets and the bathrooms were spotless , unfortunately everything else was covered in a think layer of dust . We had to clean the chairs in the kitchen before we could sit down and wipe the coffee table and shelves before we could put anything on them. We also had to hose down all the garden furniture as it was covered in black mould and bird poo. We are not really complaining because we had a lovely week everything worked well and the apartment is really well equipped. We also liked Monia very much and she was very helpful when we got completely lost finding the place. But we felt you should know about the cleaning issues so maybe you can encourage her to clean a little bit more throughly in the future. We loved the village it is so lively . We enjoyed the beach, hiring canoes, visiting the cinque terre, ports Venere in particular the restaurants there We enjoyrd the very fresh fish from the fish monger and the delicious bread., we are fat now! We certainly would stay again. Best wishes Catherine and Dennis

Just like advertised!
We stayed in the apartment with our family of 6 and enjoyed it very much. The apartment is clean and tastefully decorated. The location couldn't be improved: the beach, groceries, and public transportation are all nearby. We were able to all sit around the table and share our meals together. If you are 6 or less people I would highly recommend this apartment!

An absolute gem
Laurence's apartment is just as described. In fact it exceeded our expectations.. It truly is idyllic and San Terenzo is a lovely place to stay. We are 2 couples and the layout was great. So close to everything- beaches, restaurants and the Cinque Terre.. We caught a 9.30am ferry from Lerici and spent a fabulous day visiting the villages.
We came by car as we are touring and did find long term parking for 35€ for the week not too far from the apartment- arriving on a Saturday in peak season, holiday time didn't really help.
Highly recommended, absolutely 5 star, loved it.

Amazing!
Just returned from my third year in a row in San Terenzo. The place is truly unique and the apartment is great. The owner has made continuous improvements every year, and gives great local recommendations.

Perfect Holiday Retreat
On one level I shouldn't be writing this review at all, as I'd love to keep this gorgeous place secret.
The location is very special. The beach is just nearby. And when that gets a little crowded, you can just retreat to the tranquillity of your own garden.
San Terenzo is a more peaceful version of Lerici, where we stayed last year. Great restaurants, lovely little hilltop bar, perfect base for the Cinque Terre, Lucca, Pisa.
The apartment is a delight. In a quiet pedestrian street. Really modern kitchen and bathroom.
Thoroughly recommended.
