Lovely home stay, personal touch - excellent location with their own spice gardens
All ok, nothing negative. You need your own transportation if you stay here.

Extremely helpful staff, amazing room with balcony and a great view. Strong and quick wifi connection. Warm, high pressured rain shower. Amazing place to stay

This is a wonderful house and the best accommodation we had on our entire Kerala trip.
The room we stayed in was huge, very comfortable and had a great view!
The garden of the property is amazing and George was very helpful with everything that we needed, especially reserving the Periyar Tiger Reserve tickets, which proved to be a difficult task for us!
The breakfast and dinner were great, at a very good price.
Nothing!

We had a very great and special time at this place. George and his family have build a wonderful and peaceful place. Everything is modern und clean and the food was one of the best of Indian experience. We even have gotten a tour through the garden and George explained all the different kind of plants and trees. We definitely would recommend a stay in their home!

Really appreciate the hospitality. I've stayed at many many places around the world. Will not forget this one tho. Thank you George, family and staff. Great food. And a lovely place with spice garden tour by host. Morning bird chorus was amazing. Plants and flowers everywhere. Very clean. Great walk close by with easy reach to tea fields. Friendly locals and lots of peace and quiet. Only 10 minutes to town by auto.
Leaving...Wish we had booked a longer stay to tell the truth.

Chambre spacieuse, une belle baignoire avec vue. Bonne literie.

The room was clean and comfortable.
Nothing to not like.

George is a young man with ambition! The original family home has been extended to create a very comfortable homestay in a lush plantation. He is extending it further to include two more rooms, one with its own pool!
His mum is an exceptional cook and breakfast & dinner were a daily treat - especially the potato toasted sandwich (amazing!) and the Keralan beef roast.
George gives you an informative tour of all the plants on the property and is always on hand for local information, booking shows etc.
Our room was huge with a lovely balcony and fantastic views. We also enjoyed a daily morning walk up the little residential road, greeting locals on the way and seeing workers at the cardamom plantation.
Thanks again to George and his family and team.

Very good location, clean and well laid out accommodation. Being my first homestay away from home, it felt like home. Host was very pleasant
It rained while we were on vacation in Thekkady

It was an exceptional property. The views from the rooms are stunning and the entire property is furnished with the most beautiful wooden furniture. The rooms are. Very comfortable and thoughtfully designed.
The host George is extremely knowledgeable and gracious and showed us the entire plantation and accompanied us on treks. The the plantation is extremely diverse and we have never seen so many varieties of fruit and spice trees.
Coffee and Pepper plantation is a labour of love and is a complete treasure. We can't wait to visit again.

We loved our stay at Coffee and Pepper Homestay which is surrounded by spice plantations. The room was very spacious, tastefully decorated, very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed having both a shower and a bath (with great views of the plantation from the bathroom window). The room had fantastic views of the surrounding spice plantations and neighbouring hills and forests and we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a drink in the afternoon/evening.
The host, George, was very welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Even before the trip he was kind enough to help us to book our Periyar Reserve tickets as the website did not accept foreign cards. He also provided a complimentary tour of their spice plantation and we learnt a lot about the different spices and fruits they grow. The food was delicious and home-cooked by George's mother and we particularly enjoyed trying the Keralan specialty of 'beef roast' (this was not like the British beef roast but instead was a very tasty and flavoursome roasted beef curry).
The location is also great for getting to Periyar Reserve - just a 10 min drive to the entrance!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was perfect from start to finish. The room is spacious and so comfortable. It was clean and had a good shower.
George was the perfect host and Joel was always ready to help.
The food at breakfast was very good and freshly cooked and we had dinner one evening, also very very good.
We had struggled to book tickets for Periyar tiger reserve but George sorted all this for us.
This really was a highlight of our trip to Kerala.

The host George was a delight and super helpful. The rooms were large, clean with really nice outlooks. The location is a little out of town but it means it is very quiet and peaceful.
Not much really. Except the location address in booking com is not accurate enough for most auto or taxi drivers

We enjoyed our stay in this amazing house, their beautiful garden and home food. Everything was perfect. George helped us to arrange cooking course, massage treatment and whatever we needed. We would love to come back again. Thank you very much.

Well equipped and super clean.
Very good breakfast, adapted to your taste upon request.
We did not have the chance to eat dinner, but we got a very good review from other guests.
The owners are not only very efficient and kind, but very special persons as well.

We could stay there for 3 days more.

Beautiful homestay property in spectacular surroundings. Fabulous room which looked over the plantation. Food all home-cooked and very good. Taken on a tour of the garden grounds seeing all the different plants and learning about how they are grown and used was a particular highlight of our stay.
