A wonderful time on Mount Desert Island
This was our first time on Mount Desert Island. A true discovery! Staying at Nicole’s and Andrew’s farmhouse was wonderful. Tremont is located on the more remote side of the island. So be ready to drive everyday when you want to explore all the hikes. But there are also beautiful hikes close by and our most favorite swimming spot was around the corner.
The house is spacious, clean, and equipped with everything you need. The neighbors are friendly and during the nights you can hear the loons.
Communication with Nicole was wonderful. She has a lot of recommendations and gets back to you immediately.

Lovely location, super clean and the most accomodating hosts
Bright and airy property with plenty of space for 4 of us to spread out and relax. We felt very confident that everything had been meticulously cleaned. It had everything we needed, except not enough time to explore every book in the interesting bookshelf!
We love the quietside as it's close to SW harbor, Pretty Marsh is 5 mins up the road for beautiful sunsets and eagle sightings. It's close enough to the other side and the drive is always a pleasure anyway. We found some of the hikes were just as entertaining over here (Flying Mountain was an easy going favorite) and Beech was good too.
Nicole and Andrew couldn't have been more willing to help. We arrived with almost no charge in our electric vehicle and between all of us figured out a way to plug into their tumble dryer outlet to get a higher voltage charge. I am very grateful for them allowing us to park on the grass every night to get a charge!

New England farmhouse, quiet and close to everything!
We absolutely LOVED our stay at this charming home! The property was easy to find and in a lovely setting that made you feel like you were really on vacation and not in the hustle and bustle of a tourist destination. It hands down has the most comfy beds of any VRBO listing we've used. There are plenty of towels, linens, and extra blankets. The kitchen was very clean and well stocked with anything you might need and we made good use of the laundry room with all our hiking clothes. With four kids ranging from 6 to 10 years old, it was a perfect house for us to spread out in and have space. And while we packed for the day each morning, we could turn the little crazies in the back yard to run off energy until it was time to go. If you have kids, you know what I mean! :) It is on the "quiet side" of the island so it feels very private. Yet it is close to all the main areas of interest including Acadia, and we didn't have to drive anymore than 20 minutes to go anywhere we wanted to go. As far as getting your money's worth for a relaxing, easy stay, this place would be hard to beat. I'm really hoping we can come back to this gem and enjoy more of the beauty of the area. One visit was not enough!

Fantastic owners, perfect location
The owners of this property were awesome! Whenever I had a question about things to do in the area or where to find something in the house they always answered quickly. The house was perfect for our family and we really really liked that it was on the "quiet" side of the island! We would definitely stay here again!

Cozy former farmhouse, full of hostess' art, great local restaurant and activity suggestions, great selection of kitchen/other amenities. Away from crowds-wonderfully quiet. Plenty of room for family and dog.
What we enjoyed the most was the friendliness and availability of the hostess, who lives next door. Genuinely nice people are the real treasure when traveling.
Would certainly return!

Comfortable spot on the Quietside
We loved being off the beaten path but still 20 min or less from anywhere we wanted to go. Nicole and Andrew were very helpful, and even got us a park pass to speed our entry when our trip was delayed. Home was very clean and had everything we needed. Our boys loved getting their own rooms too! I'd recommend to anyone visiting Mount Desert Island/ACN

Our first time on the quiet side
Super clean property lots of living space, loved the sunroom and deck. All the extras were lovely: maps, suggestion binder, books, fresh cut flowers, paper products, etc. Quiet area. The master bedroom with the sky light that let in the morning sun to wake up to every morning was perfect, not alarms needed.

Great weekend getaway
Nicole was an excellent host and house was fantastic. It was well stocked with cooking supplies (rich assortment of spices, aluminum foil, cooking/grilling utensils). Also, towels were neatly placed on each bed prior to arrival. Nicole was very communicative and accommodating. Overall, very clean and wonderful house to stay in.

Comfortable Cozy Home
This was the perfect location for our group of friends to stay while exploring Bar Harbor, Manie. The home was very clean and well prepared for guests. Nicole and Andrew put the extra effort in to make you feel welcomed, from towels laid out for each guest to a resource guide of the island. Our group felt and home and comfortable staying here. The location is great and is close to many of the island attractions. I would stay here again!

DID NOT DISAPPOINT....
The house was a comfortable, clean & spacious retreat. On our first day we saw deer grazing in the field across the road. On our last day there were deer in the fields behind the house. It was located far enough away from the crowds in Bar Harbor & Acadia NP to feel remote, but generally only about 20 minutes from both. The sun room & back deck were awesome places to do our Yoga & Thai Chi. with the backdrop of the mist covered mountain.
Nicole & Andy were amazing hosts and made us feel right at home. We heartily recommend the Misty Mountain Retreat.

Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and fmily
The house was neat, clean, and quiet. It was a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. We were pleasantly surprised that the owners supplied extras such as shampoo, soap, and kitchen staples. In addition , the owners were very easy to work with. We would definitely rent this house again.

A True Retreat!
We had such an amazing time at the Misty Mountain Retreat! Nicole and Andrew are the perfect hosts, so accommodating - everything you could possibly need was provided for. This was more than what you would get at a five star hotel!
The house is beautiful and had plenty of room for our family. The location is so convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor, it made our days enjoyable and we were able to get the most out of our time there. I wish we had had more time to spend there, we will definitely plan to return!
Thank you Nicole and Andrew!!

Really good house with all needed facilities. Very remote ad quite , but close to ocean access, kayaking and hiking. Very friendly and welcoming host, welcomed us with some treats and all necessary information. While staying there house had everything we needed and more. Host were very helpful to recommend local places to eat and answered any questions or inquiries we had via text message. Really enjoyed the trip. The only thing if you have small kids, you will not to watch them when they run on backyard as it is close to front yard and busy road. We loved the quietness, also no hassle check out.

Nice, Relaxing House
My friends and I stayed here for the long Labor Day weekend and had a great time. The house was a comfortably large size for the 4 of us and very clean. We enjoyed the beautiful space/yard and convenience to all of Acadia's major hiking and swimming spots. Nicole and Andrew were very friendly hosts and gave us some great recommendations. I would definitely recommend to any group or family who wants to come to Acadia for a nice and relaxing vacation.
