About this house rental

This guest house is a 3-storey building. The 1st floor is stone flooring, with reception, dining and living room, lounge with attached balcony, kitchen, laundry and a toilet service. Two doors allow access to the terrace. The second and third floors have parquet wood floor and two bedrooms, one with a double and the other with twin beds. There is one shared, complete and modern toilet per floor.
The terrace is broad and intended for either smoking or non smoking people.
Because we gave particular attention to the comfort, safety and security of our guests this building is equipped with smoke detectors in every room.
The ensuite bathroom has a shower / tub combination, as well as complimentary toiletries and a hair dryer.
There are two bedrooms on each floor with a shared toilet.
Bed sheets and linen are provided and all rooms.
For the time being, credit cards are not accepted. Payment is upon arrival and in cash only.
Non-Smoking Rooms. Smoking is only allowed on the terrace.
Pets are not allowed. Children are accepted in restrit conditions.
Check in: 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (please check for availability after 6 pm).
Check out: until 11am. It's possible your luggage is stored in the house on the departure day

We loved our stay at this property. It was located very close to the city centre, as well as many public transport links, which was really useful for us. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Fernando is a very nice host! We would definitely stay here again :)

Fernando was very responsive to all of my questions. Check in / out was very easy. This unit is in a quiet neighbourhood and is very central. We walked to everything we wanted to see. We were 3 couples, the apartment had plenty of space for all of us.

A gem in the middle of Porto

From the time the house was booked and throughout the stay, Fernando was very communicative. The house itself was clean and had what’s needed for a quick pasta or grilled veggies. The location was ideal - not in the hustle and bustle but close enough to get to places of interest. A laundromat is at the corner of Rosario and Miguel Bombardia - very handy and they provide laundry service (wash, dry and fold) at the same price as self service. The grocery store is also right on Miguel Bombardia. I would definitely recommend this guest house.

Convenient and authentic stay

We stayed in December over New Years and had a great time. Porto is a beautiful city and the location makes it possible to walk to everything (definitely no rental car is needed and we were glad we cancelled our rental car). As the home is situated in the historic district it has a very authentic charm, but with much appreciated modern bathrooms and night blinds that cut out any street light. The kitchen is very well equipped and the dining table expands from 4 to 6, so there was ample space for us to eat together. There’s a laundromat and minimarket close by— so very convenient. We had a great time and Fernando was a super responsive host, even on New Year’s Day when we overloaded the circuits..!

Nous étions deux familles à y loger et nous avons beaucoup apprécié le fait d'avoir un étage par famille. La terrasse était très agréable. La situation géographique parfaite avec le centre à 15-20 à pied (sans se presser) Un super séjour !

La casa en general está muy bien, los dormitorios son amplios y hay un baño en cada planta y un aseo en la planta baja. También tiene un patio interior muy agradable. Estaba muy limpia y bien equipada en cuanto a toallas y ropa de cama, quizás haga falta algo más de menaje de cocina para 8 personas como era nuestro caso. La zona es relativamente céntrica, hay varios restaurantes y cafeterías por la zona, así como un supermercado y lavandería. Fernando muy amable, nos facilitó mucha información sobre restaurantes, visitas y excursiones en Oporto y ciudades cercanas.

We brought a family of 4 plus two gparents. The house gave us plenty of space to be together and apart. The check in and check out process was so easy. Location was awesome. So many places nearby to eat. If you are looking for a wonderful, clean place- look no further

Vi var en familie på 6 personer og havde 5 dage i Porto. Perfekt beliggenhed i gå afstand til det meste. Roligt kvarter. Fernando både tog godt imod os og samme ved afrejsen. Meget imødekommende og behjælpelig. Skulle der siges noget så er det at køkken og opholdsrum ikke passer helt til antallet af personer i huset. Terrassen meget lille og med sol sidst på dagen. Men kan klart anbefales

The property was located in an excellent location of Porto. Check-in staff was very friendly. Street parking and spaces were available in a parking deck nearby, but you had to pay for it. The rental was great for what you paid for it, but everything inside seemed old.

Fernando le propriétaire est très serviable et très accueillant. L'emplacement du logement est très bien, environ 10 minutes à pied du centre historique, et à cinq minutes des bars et restaurants du centre ville. La terrasse est un plus qui permet de prendre le petit déjeuné dehors. La pièce de vie est plutôt sombre, mais comme nous sommes dehors toute la journée, cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Les salle de bains sont top.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The living area is a little spartan but you will spend most of your waking time exploring Porto. The unit does not have a parking spot. You will have to search for on-street parking, which is not free during the week, or as I did, park your car in a nearby parking garage.

A spacious, welcoming house within easy reach of many of the sights

The house is substantial, rooms are a good size and clean. In easy reach of the city centre on foot (a walk of 10 minutes or so) and bus connections nearby. Beds were firm, and creaky floorboards and noise from the road at the front of the house took a bit of getting used to but far outweighed by other features and having well stocked grocery store (great for fresh breads and pastries for breakfast) and some places to eat nearby as well as the terrace for relaxing. Host very helpful.

Das Ferienhaus war sehr zweckmäßig und gut restauriert, Lage ist super. Mangelhaft war, dass die in der Beschreibung angegebene Waschmaschine fehlte. Die Zimmer waren ebenfalls zweckmäßig. In den eigentlich schönen Bädern fehlte die Lampe über dem Spiegel, die Duschhalterung im Bad der 1. Etage war defekt, ebenso der Toaster. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Um eine kleine Relaxzone zu schaffen, wäre die Aufwertung des Innenhofes (z. B. mit Liegemöbeln und Grün) dringend notwendig.
