Reviewer Comments:
The house accomodated three easily, although there were no clocks anywhere. The location is wonderful. The porch and back yard needs to be cleaned and updated. The couch needs to be deodorized. Although there was plenty of toilet paper, there was little paper towels and napkins, and no basic supplies like sugar, and only one coffee grounds. The filter in the refrigerator needs to be changed. The water pressure was terrible. The property was listed for sale, and a realtor let herself and clients in while we were in the showers. TERRIBLE.

This was a first time visit to Savannah for all of us and the city was all that we expected and more! The Luther property was a very nice historic home with all the amenities needed and comfortable. It’s very spacious. The kitchen is big and well stocked. The back patio isn’t quite as neat and put together as the pictures show, but a nice sitting area nonetheless. There’s no longer an awning for shade. We enjoyed the front porch swing in the early evenings. The location is a convenient walk to beautiful Forsyth Park, the River Walk area, Jones St, and even a Kroger. I do recommend this rental property and would definitely consider renting it again.
4.7
The property was clean and the furniture/beds were comfortable. All of the bedrooms are on the second level, so it is something to consider if a member of your party has trouble negotiating stairs. The property is a duplex, and the neighbor is very loud. He has a large dog that barks a lot and the neighbor yells quite a bit, too. If property management has any control over the other side of the property, it should be addressed.

We were in town for a family wedding. There were 5 of us. The house was clean and nicely furnished. We had plenty of room and everything we needed. Four of us are over 65 and would like to suggest that an anti-slip mat and grab bar be available for the bathtub. Thank you!

Beautiful Victorian duplex with a new kitchen and bathrooms, located 10-15 minutes away on foot from the historic areas. My family celebrated Christmas here and had a wonderful time! The outside of the house is quite worn (rotting window sills, peeling paint) but don’t let that deter you for staying in this gorgeous home!

We booked this home for a ladies get away for a few days. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable. We loved sitting out in the evenings in the courtyard or in the cozy living room. All the instructions were extremely accurate, the lock system on the front and back doors were very easy to use. We would stay here again!
4.7
The home was perfect, just what we had expected and more. We sat on the wonderful front porch in the morning and evenings, perfect for just sitting and talking, and got to meet and talk with a few neighbors everyday while they walked their puppies, Charlie and Luna. The home was spotless and perfect, and centralized to everything! You have an amazingly beautiful city and home!! I highly recommend the Grand Luther when staying in Savannah!!
4.7
We enjoyed our stay, but will most likely book somewhere else next time.
Pros:
The location was great.
The house had more than enough space for the 4 adults that were there.
We all agreed the beds were comfortable.
Cons:
-The neighbors immediately fussed about the truck one of us was driving. We didn't even have our luggage fully unloaded before we were approached. The 2 spots that are assigned to the house are very small. Even though we had the truck completely backed in and fully on the slab (a short bed truck), they were admit we move it to the street asap. The street parking was VERY tight so it was a point of frustration our whole trip.
-The next door neighbor had a massive German Sheppard that barked aggressively at us every time we came in our out. (It was on the screened in porch that was right next to our door.) We all heard the dog barking throughout the nights and when we would go up and down the stairs that are next to the shared wall.
-The door code was the year the house was built! The code is on a plaque RIGHT next to the front door! Do they not change the code between guests? This was very concerning since we were 4 females traveling together. We blocked the doors from the inside each night with chairs and our luggage to feel safer.
-On the first night 3 of us were in the kitchen and a large Palmetto bug/roach ran across the floor. We had all of the lights on when this happened which made us worry there would be more when we went to bed.

We stayed at the Grand Luther for a weekend girls trip and it was great!! We were a group of 5 and fit comfortably in this property. It had plenty of space for us to spread out and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the swing on the front porch and our evenings on the back patio. The location was very convenient to everything and very walkable. Please note that all the bedrooms are located on the second floor with a long, quite steep, set of stairs. The property has plenty of historic charm!

My husband and I along with our four children chose this rental for our first time in Savannah. The house captures tons of charm and architectural details of the early 1900s time period. The interior of the house was very clean. The bedrooms are extremely spacious and comfortable. The exterior does need some TLC especially on the side of the house where there are rotted window sills. I would love to see the integrity of the house maintained. The location is great! I would definitely recommend this rental to others.
4.7
My family and I stayed at the Grand Luther this week. We really enjoyed out stay! Beds were comfy, towels were soft, house was nice and spacious. I think the only thing I wished was that they had salt and pepper packs because we forgot to buy seasoning at the store. The location is fantastic for exploring. I loved having my coffee on the front porch every morning. Would definitely stay there again!

Easy check-in & out process. We initially checked on the possibility of an early arrival but we’re told it would cost an additional $60.00. I have never encountered this before in all my previous rentals (not associated with Lucky Savannah). Needless to say, I thought that was ridiculous and turned down that option. The rental was nice but a little noisy in the evening (road noise). No hot pads in the kitchen and bedroom near guest bath needs doorknob tightened.
4.7
House was great location. Everything in place but house could use a good cleaning. Met our needs.

The online arrangements worked fine except for the difficulty in finding the email providing the check-in details. With a phone call we were able to sort it out just fine.

The place was clean, welcoming and in a good location. There are a few items that could be improved - there were a few very large roaches (palmetto bugs) we had to kill throughout our stay, coffee filters were too small for the coffee pot could spring for the regular sized ones so we can make coffee for more than 1 person and the front door lock failed a few times when we tried to lock the door. We had to leave through the back several times because the front door couldn't lock. These are minor items in comparison to the overall comfort of the property. We would stay here again

The reason we like to stay in a house with a group is to be able to cook some simple meals. The management policy of not providing kitchen staples defeats the concept. The paper goods were also very cheap quality. So instead of feeling like a vacation, the property felt cheap. In contrast we stayed at a property in Charleston that felt luxurious and they did provide kitchen staples and high quality toiletries and paper goods. These very low cost changes would go a long way to provide a more satisfying experience. The unit was nice and the location was fine for our group. However, a quick trip to TJ Maxx for some simple decor updates would make the house more livable. Based on our experience I would avoid booking another property managed by Lucky Savannah.

We loved the house, and it was conveniently located within walking distance of many places we wanted to see. The problem was our visit coincided with extremely cold temperatures and we wound up driving to most places. The first night and next morning (Christmas Eve) we had a problem with the heating on the first floor, but we called the management, and they showed up promptly that morning on Christmas Eve and fixed it! Other than that, the house was great, and we would definitely consider renting it again next time we're in Savannah!!

What a great house in the heart of Savannah's historical district. It was built in 1902 and has tons of charm and character. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were not very clean and the toilet paper provided felt like sandpaper. The tub in the guest bathroom upstairs really needs to be re-caulked due to mildew.
The main issue was the house seems to have been recently used for a bachelorette party. There was a poster with adult-themed content on one of the sliding doors to the dining room and there were numerous tiny adult-themed party favors throughout the house. On top of that, there is a single guy living next door who likes to play house music starting at about 6am every morning and keeps playing it for an hour or two. He also has a large dog that barks loud and often. The walls are thin so it was definitely noticeable.
For good points - the dining room was perfect for our family Thanksgiving meal. The kitchen is modern with great appliances and plenty of cooking utensils. The beds were firm and comfortable with fresh linens. Overall, we had a great time and really found the house charming...but it certainly wasn't perfect.

The ambiance was perfect for a traditional southern home. It is a very well maintained home with lots of character. High ceilings and very well done restoration of the interior. The photos of the rooms are what originally sold us on the property and met our expectations. Our family stayed here for a destination wedding and I would recommend this property. Street parking is necessary unless you have a compact car, but we didn't have any problems finding a spot next to the home.

Right on Calhoun square. Two minute slow walk to Forsyth park. House is beautiful. Courtyard is adorable. Only thing missing was a hair dryet. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked. Three full bathrooms and a half. With lots of towels. Beds are super comfy. Loved the area. Very peaceful.

I love this old home. It was gorgeous. Plenty of room and so quintessential. We only had an issue getting the TV's to work. I would not normally care but my sons friend was playing in the little league World Series and we really wanted to see the game. That took up some time and we never got any bedroom tvs to work. Other than that- I do recommend this place. Not walkable to anything really- that's the only reason for the 4 star. BUT- very very nice.

Lovely home with a lot of charm. Location is close to many parks and restaurants however be prepared for a lot of traffic that moves fast. Price Street is a heavily traveled street day and night. If you plan to sleep in the main bedroom bring something to help eliminate the noise. The front of the house (living room and upstairs bedroom) is difficult to cool off. Also be prepared for a next door neighbor who has a dog that will bark at most anything that moves on the street. As for parking the place provided is for a compact car, all others are asked to park on the side street. If you do not the neighbors will complain. Note: if you have folding rear view mirrors use them, someone knocked my completely off my truck damaging my door and fender.

I rented this house for a bachelorette. It was so nice! House was clean and in a walking location to the majority of the places we wanted to go to. The beds were very comfortable and there were enough kitchen supplies to cook dinner one night when we were there. House was very clean and well maintained. The outside patio was awesome to have to sit and relax with a coffee or decompress in the afternoon in the sunshine. Lucky Savannah is amazing to work with. Our flight got in before our check-in time so they allowed us to keep all our luggage at their office for the day allowing us to walk around and see Savannah while we waited for check-in. Every employee we encountered at Lucky Savannah was so nice and helpful. 10/10 I would definitely use this company again!!

This gracious house generously sleeps six and can comfortably accommodate eight people (with a queen trundle bed). Located near Forsyth Park in a lovely neighborhood, you can quickly walk into the historic downtown. There is plenty of room to cook with a large kitchen and dining room table. The backyard has a comfortable and large sitting area. The customer service from Lucky Savannah is excellent. They responded immediately and addressed all issues. The house is old, so take that into consideration since there are quirks to older homes. The house is clean and well maintained but the furniture is a bit worn and tired. We had a lovely stay and highly recommend.
