We spent a wonderful week at the property with our family of six. We made extensive use of the spacious kitchen and found all the appliances you would expect in a modern kitchen. We also fired up the outdoor pizza oven twice and on the second occasion we finally managed to make excellent tasting pizzas! The barbecue area with seating area is also spacious and functional and we enjoyed using it. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spotless and very pleasant. We had a lot of fun in and around the pool and the yakuzzi. We also enjoyed lying on the loungers and letting our gaze wander over the very well-kept grounds and the beautiful surroundings. This was our second time there and we immediately felt at home again, the place has something magical for us.

The house was fabulous, felt at home straight away. Loved all of the outdoor spaces. Pool & jacuzzi amazing. Surrounding views were beautiful. The only thing that would have made everything perfect would be AC in the bedrooms. The fans just didn’t really make much difference.

Originally booked for 2020 and then Covid19 reared its ugly head so a long wait but then we arrived and the property was beyond our expectations and couldn't be faulted.
The property and the ourside areas were very well laid out and very clean.
To be honest the majority of our time was spent outdoors and inside was mainly used for sleeping or prepping food and cooking in the large kitchen if the pizza oven or BBQ wasn't being used.
Loved the fact that jacuzzi was separate to the pool; sipping bubbles in the jacuzzi whilst children were making the most of the pool went down well with everyone!
Absolutely loved the rural location of the property and the view's were fantastic and would return without any hesitation.
Appreciated the Welcome Pack on arrival day ~ thank you Lavinia
Any Q's before our arrival were answered promptly by property owner or Lavinia Italian contact; Lavinia met us on arrival to the property and took us around the property explaining 'key' things which was very much appreciated as well as getting us some 'bubbles' and making sure few bottles were chilling in the fridge.

Casa Vecchia is a beautiful property in the Umbrian hills, perfect for complete relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of normal life. The property is outstanding and Lavinia was a superb host, making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property, just wish we could have stayed longer.

We just completed a wonderful week at Casa Vecchia with a group of eight family members and friends. The house is at least as beautiful as it appears in the photos. The setting is fantastic. The bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen is spacious and well equipped. But more than anything, the outdoor space is so nice that you just don't want to leave the house. The pool and outdoor eating areas are situated for beautiful Umbrian sunsets, extended cocktail hours, and dinners that last into the evening. Perfect for visiting with old friends. When it was time to leave, we considered barricading ourselves in the house and demanding a second week.
I should also mention that Lavinia, the house manager, is very attentive and responsive. She assisted us with a few activities and at one point was prepared to drive to the property at 11:00 pm on a Sunday night when we mistakenly thought we had locked ourselves out of the building.
My only caution is that renters should be aware that the house is on a Strada Bianca, an unpaved "white road". Most of the road is fine but, at the time of our visit, a short section near the house was somewhat washed out and was a bit rough for a standard passenger car. We did fine with a station wagon but to be safe I would advise a car with a little higher clearance. Overall, this was a small issue, however, and the road is actually quite beautiful and very nice for walks and gravel bike roads if you are so inclined.

We rented Casa Vecchia for a week in July/August 2018. The house and surroundings are picturesque and pretty much all you can ask for when renting a villa in central Italy. We have travelled quite a lot around Italy and absolutely fell in love with the villa. The house itself is very well kept, the pool is amazing and the views something one can only dream of. We highly recommend the property to anyone seeking to spend a week in rural Umbria. Many lovely hilltop villages are easy to reach, but still it is hard to leave the villa, even for a day! We will surely visit Casa Vecchia again.

Lavinia took care of us for pizza lessons and massages.
It was a perfect week.

I have just returned from a fortnight in this beautiful hideaway on the Tuscan/Umbrian border.
The house itself is airy and beautifully equipped which together with the setting and stunning views made for a relaxing and memorable holiday.
We were easily able to access medieval hilltop towns and enjoy the tranquility of Lake Trasimeno.
The pool was a perfect way to cool down and was hugely enjoyed by the whole family. My two year old particularly enjoyed the bubbling spa pool.
Highly recommended

I stayed in this beautiful place in January 2016 and I loved it so much we had to go back again (in November this time)! The place is absolutely as described: picturesque and stunning, with all the modern amenities (including Wifi and speakers throughout the house!) and the greatest view over the Niccone valley. I stayed in the autumn/winter with friends and family so we got to experience mushroom and wild boar season (truffle pasta!), long walks exploring the beautiful region, and finishing the day off with a glass of red by the open fire. Italian bliss! I would absolutely recommend this place. Also, the owners and Lavinia are lovely and very helpful, making our stay all the more enjoyable!

First of all the setting is very beautiful and private. The house itself is a beautifully restored Italian farmhouse with many original features but loads of modern conveniences. It is well stocked with top quality kitchen appliances and linens...something I am always picky about but Casa Vecchia delivered. We shared the house with friends and it was perfect with a very large dining and kitchen area where we congregated to drink some of the areas delicious wines. We had a great trip and can't wait for our next visit.
