About this chalet rental

Refurbished in 2016, the open plan living area provides a cosy space around the modern log fire (Firewood included). The chalet sleeps 9 with plenty of storage in the rooms and two bathrooms. Washer and dryer is available along with drying facilities for ski clothes including a professional boot and glove dryer for 4 pairs at a time. An outside secure ski storage locker is also available along with parking for at least 3 cars. The Chalet is in an ideal location on the bus route with easy access to skiing, 2 min drive to Panthiaz lift and centre of La Chapelle/Cret Beni and 7 mins drive to Pre la joux. Conveniently located only 500 meters from a good size supermarket. Bars and restaurants are only 2 minutes drive away allowing for great Après ski or summer walking. The chalet looks out over open fields and provides a quiet location situated within 150m of the free shuttle bus (Check opening dates).

We had the best week staying at Mike's chalet at La Chapelle-d'Abondance, the accommodation couldn't have been better suited for our needs and a big group of friends. The property was completely kitted out with everything we could need (particularly the wide array of utensils available in the kitchen)! Most of all it was spacious, comfortable and warm, such a nice place to head back to after a day on the slopes. It was easily accessible to the shuttle bus stop at the Sports Centre nearby that either takes you up to Chatel or onto Linga, alongside being very convenient for the supermarket. We used the Ski Lockers up at Pre La Joux instead of taking our ski equipment back and forth each day which I would highly recommend. Overall a brilliant week, definitely will be back!

wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, das Chalet ist sehr gut ausgestattet, besonders die Küche, Buchung, Organisation vor Ort hat super geklappt, das Chalet ist sehr gemütlich, hat eine sonnige Terrasse und ist mit dem Skibus zum Skifahren gut erreichbar. Die Einrichtung ist wertig, wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Agréable chalet situé au calme avec terrasse sympa, proche du centre commercial et à 10 mn de la navette pour châtel. Propriétaire très réactif, cuisine très bien équipée. La petite flambée dans le poêle très appréciable (avec bois à disposition) le petit point négatif : dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de rideaux pour le vis-à-vis.

nous avons passé une semaine en famille et entre amis dans ce chalet très agréable, tout est parfait pour passer un excellent séjour, l'accueil, la propreté, la déco et l'emplacement .... C'est le genre d'endroit qui vous fond sentir comme à la maison ....

Très bon séjour dans ce chalet confortable et environnement super. Je recommande a 100 % Il serait bien qu'il y ait un peu plus d'électromenager pour cuisiner : batteur, mixeur par exemple.

Le Chalet Louis est très accueillant ! Il est aménagé et décoré avec goût ! Tout est prévu pour que nous nous y sentions comme à la maison! Quel plaisir de finir une journée de ski par un verre autour du poêle à bois! Nous remercions Mike pour sa confiance et son accueil et ne manquerons pas d’y retourner !! Merci !

A nice wooden chalet in a good location.

A very nice place to do winter sports with some friends. Well equipped kitchen with great stove. Nice living room with quality furniture and a cozy fireplace. Ski bus stop only 150m away. If there is enough snow in the valley, you can skate on the way back with skis from the sports field over the meadow to the chalet. The supermarket nearby is well sorted and quickly accessible. I would recommend this chalet for 6 to 7 people. But a few things are less nice: The striking plate of the door lock to the largest bedroom on the upper floor was only temporarily repaired (with just one screw). The house is relatively noisy in some rooms due to the thin wooden interior. The roof beams are somewhat low in the stairwell and bathroom on the upper floor. This may make taller people hit their heads. Unfortunately there is no active ventilation in the bathrooms, just a ventilation grille to the outside. Obviously for space reasons, the ski boot dryer, which is suitable for only 4 pairs of shoes, is located in the living area. But none of these are real problems. You can handle it well. Unfortunately we were unlucky with the stormy warm weather in the first days, but during that time we had a funny time in the chalet. Afterwards four days of snow and sun and blue sky sweetened the rest of our vacation. Communication with the owner was excellent. Many thanks for everything.

We had a great stay at Chalet Louis

Spacious and very well equipped chalet. Perfectly cleaned when we arrived. Heating is good when you get to understand how to manage it but Mike has explained everything in the guest guide inside the chalet. Location is perfect to access ski lifts in 10minutes in chatel as well as services and restaurants in La Chapelle 5 minutes away. We do recommend very warmly this chalet.

We really enjoyed our stay ,perfect location for a self catering family holiday , 3 mins walk to the bus stop that took you to either Châtel or La Chapelle-d’Abondance. Main supermarket is 5 mins walk away. Chalet it’s self was immaculate couldn’t ask for anymore
