This apartment is a block away from a very authentic market with great seafood and produce. All historical places are just a walk away as well. The apartment is great but we especially loved the deck off the bedroom. Exquisite views! Would definitely stay here again.

We were delayed because of a hurricane and our trip was cut from 5 days to 1 on full day. Fele, Luigi’s son met us late on the night we arrived to load up our luggage at the parking garage, and give us a tour of the apartment. We found the apartment to be comfortable and charming. The location was excellent if you want an authentic Palermo experience! We were so sad we couldn’t soak up more of this apartment and city!

Luigi's apartment is very cute and well stocked. Unfortunately, the elevator broke during our stay and it became a very steep three-floor walk up. Otherwise, warm but lovely!

Very close to the Capo but quiet enough for sleep, we were able to explore the city on foot. The terrace was a great asset and our host was available but we didn’t need anything. Palermo can be rough but not in this elevator assisted apartment.

Immer wieder gerne

Wundervolle Tage in Palermo

good location, great hosts
Luigi and Fele were always helpful and attentive. A bit of an issue with the electricity, which might be an issue in hot weather with a/c, but otherwise very good. Cooking utilities excellent.

Perfekt.

Cosy place around Capo and the Massimo
Cosy apartment in the heart of Palermo's old town around Capo market with spectacular roof terrace for perfect breakfast and also atmospheric evening views on illuminated cathedral.
Allthough extremely central (5min per foot to highly recommended Teatro Massimo) in a lively neighbourhood, the apartment itself was very quite when we were there.
Luigi is a great host in many ways, who picked us up and reacted on all questions immediately. It was a great place and we'll be pleased to come again, thanks a lot!

Old Town Palermo
We stayed at this apartment for a week and were not disappointed. Luigi was so helpful picking us up from the shuttle bus. The views from this apartment terrace were amazing especially at night. We were blessed with beautiful weather. The apartment is handy for everything and the train and bus stations were not far away. This apartment is a little gem.

Perfect cIty centre bolt hole
Excellent flat with everything you need for your stay. Right next door to the Capo market with it’s marvellous produce if you want to cook or just get provisions and fruit. All the main sites of Palermo are within easy walking distance. The terrace is the big plus with panoramic views and outdoor space for relaxation.
Do be aware that this is in a busy lively neighbourhood with attendant noise and festivities. Luigi the owner, very kindly met us at the airport bus stop to ferry us to the flat and was available for any questions or help .

A Hidden Gem by Tony and Tania
Firstly, nothing was too much for Luigi. He met us at the bus stop, recommended restaurants and places to visit, arranged the taxi for our return journey to the airport and made it clear that if we had any problems or needed anything he was just a phone call away. Situated in the heart of Old Town his amazing apartment has everything you could possibly need for your holiday base.
It is close to the fabulous Street Market where you can purchase everything from a toothbrush to a fresh fillet of swordfish, and surrounded by stunning architecture...medieval, Roman and Norman cathedrals and churches.
The local food is delicious, do try the arancini, tuna and freshly caught seafood.
Mondello beach is a 25 minute bus ride away but is crowded and pricey, €50 for two loungers and a parasol, but Cefalu, although a 45 minute train ride away is a far better option. The trains are air conditioned and very clean although timetables are somewhat erratic!
If you love history, a trip to the Palazzo Chiaramonte, which has cells covered in drawings from people imprisoned during the Spanish Inquisition is a fascinating way to spend a couple of hours.
A trip to Palermo would also not be complete without a stroll down the Via Maqueda, a pedestrianised thoroughfare which has everything from designer stores to local pizzerias.
On a personal note, we would highly recommend a visit to La Galleria restaurant, a stones throw from the Cathedral. It is advisable to book however as it is always busy but the food is outstanding and the wine list immense. The staff spoke good English, better than our Italian, and were extremely helpful as were all the Sicilians we met on our holiday.

A warm welcome at this well appointed apartment with panoramic views of Palermo
Though the hour was late, we were met by car and brought from the airport shuttle bus stop to the apartment in the heart of the roman old town, where we were welcomed by Luigi, who introduced us to this spacious and well appointed apartment and left us several emergency contacts, none of which proved to be required. The apartment, close to a busy market, was nevertheless fairly quiet and there are views over the roofs of Palermo from the large balcony.
We lacked for nothing and enjoyed the bottle of wine Luigi left us as an introductory gift. He also provided us with useful maps and guides. The apartment was well equipped with two bathrooms and a large bedroom with plentiful storage. It proved to be a convenient base from which to explore the city on foot and by bus. Difficult to see how you could park a car nearby, given the narrowness of the lanes and alleyways in this crowded neighbourhood.
We had an interesting and enjoyable week.

Amazing gem in the heart of old Palermo
Perfect apartment in the center of everything. Easy walking to the Cathedral and Quatro Canti. One of the main street markets is just a block away - fantastic! And the apartment is all you could hope for: very clean, well-stocked, everything worked, very spacious, great wifi, and best of all a deck with an amazing view of the city and cathedral. If you haven't traveled in Italy before, please don't be put off by the approach to the apartment (narrow streets); this is very common and is the charm of staying in an apartment instead of a big generic hotel. I was traveling alone, and always felt safe walking to/from the apartment, even at night.
Luigi was so accommodating and helpful, picked me up at the train station, provided great info to get oriented, answered all my questions quickly during my stay, arranged for a very early morning taxi ride to the airport, and best of all (absolute highlight of my trip), arranged for a private Sicilian Cuisine cooking class - absolutely fantastic. The class included going to the local street market to purchase all the fresh ingredients, and then cooking up a huge feast.
This apartment and Luigi's care and attention made this the perfect Palermo vacation. Highly recommend!

Excellent large duplex penthouse
Luigi our host was beyond gracious and helpful. After a 3 hour plane delay he waited for us to finally arrive in pouring rain at 2:00 AM. His apartment was clean and large with wine and such welcoming us. The next morning he helped us plan our stay in Beautiful Palermo, explaing it's history and recommending important sights to see.
We rented a car after a few days and parking was very close by. The apartment is also very well located to experience the local color of Palermo.
We'll definitely return again

Beautiful one bed appartment with terrace in the heart of Palermo
Luigi's apartment was lovely as well as Luigi himself. When we arrived Luigi met us at the bus stop in the city and drove us to the flat, which was lovely as we arrived really late at night.
The appartment itself was on the third floor in the Capo district. There in an incredible food market just one street away.
Everywhere was in walking distance from the flat and we went to a wonderful restaurant 10 mins walk away - trattoria ai Cascinari.
We would 100% recommend staying at Luigi's appartment, he's a great host and the flat is really well kitted out. Thank you for such a great place in the heart of a beautiful city!

Great apartment in the Capo
We stayed at Luigi's apartment in January - everything was perfect. Good wifi, well equipped kitchen(although who cooks on vacation IN ITALY?!), good heating. Luigi met us at a designated spot, took us to a parking structure, about 5 min away from the apartment, and then we walked to the place. He is a fantastic and helpful host, explained in detail all there is to know about the surroundings, sights and the restaurants. The neighborhood is a little too authentic for my taste (Capo market), but it's perfectly safe and well centered. Can't beat it for the location and the price!

I would stay nowere else in Palermo!
Luigi's apartment is second only to Luigi himself. The apartment in Capo is just as described but better than can be captured in pictures and words. With no Italian and on our first trip to Sicily, we could not have had a better experience. Luigi and his son met us at a bus stop, waiting for more than an hour on us due to a luggage problem at the airport. They are both helpful and well informed. Indeed, we had fresh grapes and a fine bottle of wine waiting for us when we finally got free at the airport.
The apartment is well lit and has great breezes. It's comfortably furnished and well stocked--we wanted nothing more than what we had in it. Located on the third and fourth floors and with modern bathrooms, the apartment was very clean and well organized. One person can rest or sleep upstairs while another reads or uses the internet below. The elevator works fine and saves your back wit luggage. The kitchen balcony and, especially, the upper terrace are wonderful. You look out over the rooftops of old Palermo at a cathedral and the mountains. A great place for coffee in the early morning! Or wine in the evening!
As nice as this apartment is, Luigi is even more gracious as a host than the apartment is perfect. Although we were later than expected, he took his time showing us around, being sure we were comfortable. His English is excellent, and he advised us on restaurants and bus routes and seemed sincerely concerned that we enjoy our brief, first stay in Palermo. We had no problems with the internet, and Luigi generously offered advice when we needed it--and very quickly replied. His son Fele is also kind and well informed--simply put, they are just fine people!
You cannot ask for a better location: markets and minimarkets are less than five minutes away, and you can find all kinds of restaurants in short walking distances. In five minutes, you can enjoy the Teatro Massimo and find whatever you wish in terms of shopping. The only drawback is that we were there only for three days. On our next trip to Palermo, we will stay longer because this apartment is fantastic. We will check its availability BEFORE we set the dates for the trip. I would stay nowhere else in Palermo.

Well located gem
From this two story apartment's terraces and windows you can view Palermo's landmarks and the mountains behind the city. While it is located in one of the oldest and liveliest neighborhoods in Palermo, it is very quiet; tucked away on a narrow street with very little traffic. It's in the Capo, an ancient shopping district brimming with produce, cheese, and olive stalls. If there is a central point in old Palermo this may be it.
The apartment has a superbly comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, and good wifi, plus two modern bathrooms and a balcony and a rooftop deck.. and a washing machine! Did I mention the elevator, another plus?
Luigi, as others have mentioned, is a delightful and well-informed host, who arranged pick up at the train station for us. His family helps with the rental, so there is always someone available if you need anything.

A gem in the centre of Palermo
We loved this apartment! The listing description was 100% accurate - spacious, well renovated, furnished (plenty of storage) and equipped. The flat was clean and well maintained. Even in December we were able to enjoy the terrace in the sun with wonderful views over the old city and on to the mountains.
Luigi was a charming host - responsive and attentive - he arranged to meet us at the airport bus stop in town and whisked us to the apartment. He had thoughtfully provided all necessary foodstuffs for a first breakfast and gave us plenty of information and recommendations on local attractions and restaurants. Particularly liked Antica Focacceria S. Francesca and nearby Spano restaurants. The Capo street market just round the corner is terrific - great fish, vegetables and fruit, bakery and nearby egg man - best, freshest eggs ever.
All in all, highly recommended!
