We had a wonderful holiday and received an excellent service from Pippa and her property managers Karyn and Irfan. We loved the location and the view from the villa.

Lovely villa with amazing views & helpful little touches
The villa is nicely positioned with west facing views across the bay giving lovely views of the sunset, especially from the roof terrace. Water Taxi into the town centre was 25TL pp & a very relaxing way to start the evening.
The villa really is a home from home with lots of nice touches that you often don't get - a local mobile phone to use, beach towels, books, games, shopping bags, spare socket adapters, etc.
Karyn & Irfan look after you well & are more than happy to help out in any way they can.
There are a number of beach clubs within a few minutes walk, each slightly different in their atmosphere. They all offer access to the lovely clear, deep water & water sports such as canoeing, paddle boards, boat hire, jet skis, etc.

Amazing villa and location!
We had a brilliant stay at the villa. It really is so well equipped and comfortable. The local beach is beautiful and it’s great at the beach club. We didn’t need a car as the water taxis ran regularly across the bay to Kalkan. Highly recommended and would love to spend another holiday there.

A little piece of heaven in Kalkan, book it, you won't regret!!
I booked this villa very last minute and due to the current covid19 situation was worried whether I was doing the right thing. I travelled with my husband and 3 teenage kids and as NHS workers ( and having taught covid) we have been working flat out and very overdue a rest.
I needn't have had any anxieties about the property at all. From booking the villa with Pippa, the owner at a very reasonable price to communicating with Karyn, the property manager in Kalkan everything was straightforward, helpful and professional with very quick responses to my multiple queries.
We arranged our own airport transfers(although Karyn did offer) we also hired a car locally from Kalkan for the rest of trip.
The villa is actually in a village called Kisla which is about a 10 minute walk from Kalkan. You can get free water taxis from beach over. It is very hilly so be prepared with comfy shoes if walking but taxis are cheap and plentiful.
The villa was spotless with everything you could think of for a comfortable stay plus more. Plenty of towels! Don't take any at all! My kids loved playing chess by the pool and the inflatables were fun. Pippa has thought of everything you could possibly need including sun hats, shopping bags and even an umbrella! There are books ,DVD'S,cards and board games. Each bedroom has a lovely terrace
The kids loved having a bedroom and bathroom each! The roof terrace is quite a climb but the views with it, recommend it for breakfast and evening drinks.
The egg swing chair was a firm favourite and the bread delivered by Irfan daily who cleans the pool was much cheaper than the shops, fresh and delicious. Thankyou to Karyn for the shopping delivered for our arrival.
I would definitely arrange a hire car if you are considering this villa as it gave us flexibility to pop to town and other areas of interest at our own convenience without relying on others. We managed trips to Olundeniz, Hisaronu for shopping (we compared prices and cheapest for shopping and you can park in front of the shops for free before 7, haggle though!) ,Fethiye Tuesday market Pamukkale, Patara beach (gorgeous at sunset ,soft sand and water is NOT deep quite a way in ). Saklikent gorge where we also did tubing. The kids also did parasailing and the inflatable sofa at Aristos watersports.
Minor issues- villa is overlooked by neighbouring villas so not as private as I hoped, other minor issues with hot water, toilet flushes breaking all resolved quickly, thx

Villa Kaplumbaga is a Kalkan gem
This lovely villa in the Kisla area of Kalkan is a fabulous place to stay. Pippa was really helpful with all of our queries during booking and we were so well looked after by Karyn and Irfan once there. The villa is well equipped and has loads of indoor and outside space- perfect for 2 families. The pool is a good size and Irfan comes every day to clean and check it- his cheerful smile and friendly manner were a welcome sight each morning and not just because of the fresh bread he brought us. We would highly recommend taking up Karyn's offer of organising food shopping - it is stress free and getting warm rotisserie chicken delivered was a welcome treat. The villa has everything you need including a mobile phone which was so handy to call Ayan the taxi driver who took us many times across to Kalkan centre but also Kalamar ( you really don't need a car to stay here and cost effective airport transfers were arranged by Pippa and Karyn). The watersports provided by Aristos near Indigo beach club are highly recommended ( the food at Indigo is really good) as is the scuba diving at Kalamar ( this beach club is great for snorkeling). The local beach club is just a few minutes walk and free to use - their food prices are more expensive than the pay to enter beach clubs but can usually grant you a free water taxi across to Kalkan habour in the evening. There are loads of great adventures to be had including boat trips ( we loved our day with Ramazan on his boat Eylul) and quad biking- just as examples. There is an amazing choice of restaurants serving excellent food and the market on Thursday is well worth a visit. We loved our 2 weeks here and would not hesitate to recommend it.

Perfect holiday in Kisla
We had an absolutely wonderful time in Kisla during our 2 week holiday. This is our 4th time in Kalkan and we always stay in Kisla. It is close to the. beach club and within easy walking distance to he water which enabled us to have our morning swim every single day.
We have stayed in Villa Kaplumbaga before and it was wonderful but this time, we had a perfect stay. The villa is the cleanest and most organized property we have ever stayed in. We had everything we needed from kitchen utensils to towels. Irfan kept our outside space clean and organized and Karyn made sure that we have everything we need. The property is managed wonderfully by Karyn with impeccable attention to detail- one would think that is the only property that she manages
We will be back next year, hopefully to Villa Kaplumbaga again, and we plan to stay longer
Perfect holiday!

Super villa in Fabulous location with amazing views.
Wow! What an amazing villa! Cannot fault it!
Very spacious inside, modern and well equipped.... even down to sun hats available to borrow and books to read.
The views from every part of this villa are outstanding and never failed to take my breath away.
Outside is also very spacious with different seating areas and good sized pool cleaned daily by Irfan.... who also Delivers a loaf of fresh bread every day.
We would describe the interior and exterior of the villa as luxurious.
This is our second time to Kalkan and we would not hesitate to return to this gorgeous villa.
The villa is situated in Kisla which is just over a mile from Kalkan- easily walkable ; we did it daily. Alternatively the water taxi from the beach club is a most pleasant way to travel to the charming harbour with its fabulous restaurants. Also there is an abundance of taxis available for 20 lira ( about £3.)
The Kalkan beach club is a 2 minute walk down the road with great drinks, food and various fun activities such as water slide and canoes which are all free.
Several other restaurants are within a few minutes walk of the villa as is Bobs supermarket which is pricey but convenient.
Karyn manages the villa and is on hand to answer any questions and sort out any excursions.
Cannot recommend highly enough.

A place close to my heart
As always, what a wonderful stay in Kalkan. A place close to my heart. This is my 4th time staying in Villa K and every time it feels like it gets better and better. The villa is kitted out with everything we needed to make our stay a comfortable one without loosing a warm homely feeling.
The rooftop views at sunset are one of my all time favourite places to. A truly magical and reflective location.
The owner of the property goes out of their way to think of what the villa needs - and then some! Everything is well - maintened and cared for.
Going to Kalkan Beach club for an afternoon dip is a must - along with a iced coffee! If you go for an early morning swim, you may be in luck to see a turtle or 2! Taking out a day boat with Deniz is also an unmissable experience, we spent the whole day swimming with turtles in quiet, secluded bays!
I have no doubt that I’ll be back!

Amazing property in a fantastic place.
This is a great place to stay. 3 minutes walk from Kalkan beach Club. Our 3 teenage boys could have their independence within a reasonable distance from us!
The villa is well equipped with everything you need. The gardens and pool are cleaned daily by Irfan who will deliver bread every morning if asked. Karyn Rutherford who runs the villa is an absolute gem. This was our first time to Turkey and she made everything possible, no job too little or too big.
Kalkan is a 15 minute sea taxi ride away or 10 minutes in ordinary taxi.
Do not hesitate to book this property, definitely value for money!! The boys each had their own room with en-suite and a balcony.

A fantastic villa in a lovely location
The villa is very clean, modern and extremely well equipped and a home from home. A great amount of space inside and out so that everyone was able to chill. The location in Kisla is quiet but with easy access to the beach and Kalkan town by car or water taxi. Support from the owner and her representative was excellent and made the stay so easy.

Beautiful view from a lovely villa
We arrived after midnight to find food and drinks to keep us going along with a very clean and well furnished villa. The beds were very comfortable and the showers provided a plentiful supply of hot water. A separate water cooler is a great idea,. though there is absolutely nothing wrong with drinking the tap water but of course it's not cold. It is certainly a very fine villa bordering on luxury. The sun beds are great quality with comfortable cushioning. There is plenty of helpful information and the TV system was most welcome to the teen boy.
The beach club so near is a real plus where the sun loungers are free the water is cool and you can just dive straight in off the pontoon.
There are so many restaurants in Kalkan providing excellent food that it is almost impossible to go wrong. It is worth a trip up to Adam's Place where you can watch the sunset over the sea, a great view.
we had 2 excellent relaxing weeks in Sunny Kislar.

I have just returned from a wonderful week at this beautiful villa in Kalkan. After seeing photos online and hearing recommendations from friends, I decided to book a holiday myself. I was not disappointed. The owners were in touch immediately and the booking was smooth. A transfer was arranged and we were in touch with Karyn, who managed the villa who gave us all the details we needed prior to our arrival. The villa was exactly as described, beautiful pool, breathtaking views and everything you would need for a home away from home. The owners have thought of everything: a mobile phone to use during your stay, a welcome pack detailing all the sights, a music system, books to read, daily bread deliveries, sunhats, you name it, they have it. The villa was sparkling clean and we were welcomed on arrival and shown around. People were then in touch during our stay to see if they could be of any help. Attentive and welcoming without being intrusive. This was indicative of the service throughout Kalkan. Everywhere we went people were friendly and welcoming and made us feel right at home. We ventured to the Thursday market, a hamman in town, Kalkan Beach Club and an array of restaurants and shops in Kalkan itself. The food was superb, the weather amazing and the welcome and hospitality from the people of Kalkan simply wonderful.Sometimes self-catering can mean additional stress, whereby you have to stock up on essentials for your stay to make the accommodation run as a home. With this villa, the attention to the villa made us feel as though we lived there and we had everything we needed from day one, allowing us to have a truly relaxing holiday and enjoy all the delights of Kalkan. We hope to return next year and would highly recommend the villa to anyone looking for a relaxing escape. Thank you for enabling us to have a truly relaxing break.

A little slice of Turkish heaven
Where do I start?
Kalkan holds a special place in my heart for many reasons, hence why I have returned three times!
The beauty starts from the moment you come around the bend as you approach the bay and the view that warmly greets you is just breath-taking. The photographs do not do it justice.
The villa is ideally situated; it is secluded enough to make you feel like you have your own private piece of this bay as well as being a short distance away from the main town where there are numerous welcoming and delicious places to eat and drink at. I highly suggest getting yourself a chilled drink at Kalkan beach club (a 1 minute walk from the villa) and get the water taxi into town at least once during your stay! This year, I was lucky enough to take an early morning swim on several occasions at the beach club and was accompanied by a turtle! Just magical!
Every detail of the villa has clearly been considered. The owners have thought about how to make their guest's stay as comfortable as possible. It blends together local and homely touches together with all the mod cons that one should need. Each room is spacious, clean and light. Simple touches such as the Turkish plaques by each door shows the care and attention that the villa has received by its owners.
Personal highlights of my stay at Villa Kaplumbaga are:
- the views of the bay from every angle of the villa
-sunset drinks on the rooftop - this is a very special moment to share with loved ones
- taking a boat trip out with Deniz and seeing Kalkan from a different perspective - a must!
As you can tell, I am a definite fan of Kalkan and it won't be my last visit to Villa Kaplumbaga!

Absolutely lovely villa with stunning views
We were met by Karyn who looks after you on arrival, Irfan is the Pool man who also delivers you fresh bread every morning, the villa was immaculate with a good sized lounge & kitchen leading to the outdoor patio eating area & pool with stunning views across the bay. The bedrooms are all a good size & all with beautiful ensuite. The location for us was excellent as we wanted a relaxing holiday, the town is just 5 minutes away by taxi. The villa is well equipped with Satalite TV and everything else you may need during your stay.
Kalkan itself is lovely, little streets with shops, bars & stunning rooftop restaurant's serving exquisite food, be prepared to add a few pounds!!
If you have never been to Kalkan you will not be disappointed and I am sure you will return again & again.
Overall the Villa was stunning, Kalkan was friendly & beautiful which all contributed to a wonderful holiday, thanks Pippa.

Kalkan 2016
We stayed in Kalkan with friends last year and fell in love with the place and so decided to return this year taking with us our 2 children and their spouses and our nephew. We did the usual search on Owners Direct and ultimately decided to stay at this Villa.
We were not disappointed. The Villa was perfectly located in the quite backwater of Kisla - a 15 minute walk from Kalkan or 5 minute taxi ride. The Villa was furnished to a very high standard and it felt just like home from home with David and Pippa leaving all their own home comforts for all to share. All of your holiday requirements were fully catered for by Karyn, the resident caretaker arranging delivery of shopping to Irfan the lovely local man who attended every day to clean the pool and surrounding area and bring fresh bread. It was heaven. The Villa gets our gold star 10 out of 10. David was superb in his communications in our lead up to the holiday.
Kalkan is a lovely place with so many superb eating houses and places to spend your days and evenings from beach bars to days out on privately chartered boats - ours was £200 for 9 of us for a full day - wonderful experience and great value for money.
We were disappointed to learn that so many British people were being deterred from visiting Turkey because of the recent troubles - hyped up as usual by the British media. Turkey is a massive country and we did not meet a single inhabitant who gave us any cause for concern - in fact quite the opposite. the Turkish people are genuinely kind and friendly and proud of their traditions of welcoming visitors into their fold. In summary David and Pippa can be proud of Villa Kaplumbaga and all it has to offer. There is no doubt whatsoever - as Arnie sais "WE'LL BE BACK".

Best Villa We've Ever Stayed In
As 2 families with teenagers it was fantastic to have so much space to spread out in. The villa is superb and the setting is stunning. This was our second visit to Kalkan and although a little bit quieter, the beach clubs and town were still full of life with a wonderful friendly relaxed atmosphere. A boat trip with Captain Ali on Dream Boat was a great day out with fantastic lunch and swimming. As well as dining in various restaurants it was lovely to be able to enjoy alfresco dining at the poolside watching the beautiful sunset. Kalkan is a becoming a firm favourite with us all and the villa made it even more special.

Fantastic Villa in suberb setting
We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday at Villa Kaplumbaga. The position is superb with fabulous views over Kalkan bay. We were looked after superbly by Karyn and Irfan and communications with the owners were efficient and friendly. We found the Turkish people to be delightfully friendly and warm, and the food in the restaurants generally delicious and reasonably priced. A day trip on a Gullette was a high point as was a meal in the restaurant Fidanka a couple of hundred meters above the house. All in all a great visit and we will be back!

Carefree Holiday
A very well appointed villa in a great position, just a very short walk down to the beach club, where the swimming was exceptional. Lovely views across to Kalkan, which was a most enjoyable water taxi ride away or a 35 minute walk. With car hire you can visit lots of attractions and I particularly recommend Adam's place, a restaurant 5 minutes down the coast with the most stunning views. Our stay there was delightful with the pool cleaned every morning and bread delivered for breakfast. David and Pippa provide a most useful book on what do do and where to eat. If you want a relaxing holiday amongst friendly locals, then this is the place for you.

Fantastic stay in Turkey. In a wonderful villa
This was our second visit to Villa Kaplambaga and despite all the warnings about visiting Turkey, we had a superb time in Kisla, just about 2.5 kilometres from Kalkaan.
The Villa Kaplambaga is, tastefully appointed and supervised by excellent staff.
We travelled freely throughout the area and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and hospitable people we met, but do urge you to enjoy the tranquility of the villa itself.

A fantastic villa in an idyllic setting
Everything about this holiday was great. The villa's owners had thought of everything. We were picked up from the airport and driven safely to the villa. The driver had the key. The illuminated pool was too tempting to resist, so, although it was around midnight, we had our first dip. The fridge was stocked with essential supplies, including a bottle of wine. It would have been rude not to drink it by the pool.
Drawing back the curtains in the morning we were rewarded with a stunning view of Kalkan town - just a few minutes across the bay by water taxi.
The villa was beyond expectations. It had everything. Every room had AC and the decor throughout was great. There was access to a balcony from each bedroom and a roof-top terrace equipped with sun loungers and a fridge for the G and Ts. The pool man came early every morning (we didn't see him once) and left a fresh loaf of bread. The local agent was extremely helpful. She passed on an order from the local store and a little later, the storekeeper arrived and put everything in the fridge for us! There were three very good places to eat just a few minutes walk away, and we were spoiled for choice when eating in Kalkan, with it's many superb restaurants. Some great beaches just a short drive away.
We have holidayed in five continents and many places. The Villa Kaplumbaga in Kalkan is among the very best experiences we have had.

Super Kalkan villa
This is a lovely villa across the bay from Kalkan harbour. The facilities are excellent and Karyn and the team could not be more helpful. The villa is close to the sea front and there are very good local restaurants if you do not want to go to the main part of Kalkan. We had a lovely relaxing holiday and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a villa holiday in the area.
