Property exactly as described-well kept, lots of space, well equipped. Our daughter said it’s one of the best designed villas we have stayed in, and furnished to make life easy for families. Children (and us) asked when are we coming back? Pool obviously, garden to play in, and monkeys. And brilliantly hosted.

This house was the perfect place to catch up with old friends and explore beautiful Barbados. It's a bit rough around the edges in places (it's being renovated bit by bit), but very comfortable with lots of shady spots to hang out and a great pool for the kids. Laura and Paul, who live on site in an adjacent apartment but gave us loads of privacy, were lovely hosts: very welcoming, and helpful with car rentals, taxi bookings, and even stocking up on groceries before we arrived. We hope we can return someday!

Great villa in a fabulous location, easy to get around on the bus to Holetown, Speightstown, Bridgetown & Oistins with Gibbs beach within a 5 minute walk. Paul was great, helped out with any questions and had our basic groceries ready in the fridge for out late flight. Laura a BIG thank you for all the informative information and last minute requests which came in handy when trying to find things to do for the kids. Overall the villa was perfect for our two weeks in Barbados, with the swimming pool & BBQ used to great effect... thank you so much and will definitely be recommending to our friends and family

Our party of eight family members had a very pleasant ten-day break at the villa in late March. We found it comfortable, spacious and peaceful and the warm pool got a lot of use! Paul was always helpful when we needed any local information.
It is best to get an officially-registered taxi at the airport; fares are fixed for the outward journey ($64 BAD to the villa, or double that for a minibus in our case) but you may need to haggle to get the same deal when returning. Otherwise, getting around Barbados is easy - the frequent buses (especially the yellow ones) provide easy, cheap and often colourful access to most parts.
There are some attractive beaches nearby, and further afield. But be aware of the sharp stones and coral underfoot and the strong undertow, both of which can mar even paddling in shallow water.
The main downside to Barbados is that almost everything apart from bus rides (and rum!) is expensive - particularly food (even the fruit and veg that one would expect to be locally-grown), which is not always of good quality. Some careful selection is needed when self-catering. Speightstown has a couple of reasonable supermarkets and many roadside vendors for fruit and veg, most of whom will try to over-charge tourists. Local fish is delicious, but again usually offered at inflated prices.

A wonderful villa located in beautiful surroundings!
We had a wonderful stay at 11 Gibbs Glade! The villa is just as beautiful and spacious as on the photos. Everything is very well taken care of and it´s really nice to have the garden, the pool and only 5 minutes to the beach.
I warmly recommend it and I hope we´ll soon be back!

I stayed at Laura's place with some friends as we were all attending a wedding. We had an amazing trip - it was hard to leave! Paul made us feel right at home by giving us tips about where to visit on the island, where to eat, and how to use the buses. The pool was lovely and the close proximity to the beach was ideal for our group. This place might not have all the bells and whistles of some of the other villas advertised in the area, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a great stay!

Large, spacious lovely home from home.
Lovely house with everything you need away from home, a stones throw away from one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
Our hosts Paul and Laura were so friendly and helpful they were the icing on the cake if a most beautiful and relaxing holiday amongst some of the friendliest people in the world.
Looking forward to going back with the family.

Amazing villa, amazing holiday - highly recommend!
I would highly recommend this villa. Located in Gibbes Bay on the West Coast with a choice of 2 amazing beaches (Gibbes & Mullins) within walking distance, there's only positive things to say.
The villa itself is large, bright and airy so plenty of room to really relax. It has a huge BBQ and all the facilities you need, so if you choose days to stay home you have everything there - not to mention a large tranquil garden and generous pool...air con (in the bedrooms) & wifi too!
Paul (Fox) is at hand to help if you need, he made sure we had everything for our arrival (beer in the fridge) and gave us lots of local information, knowledge and recommendations.
Gibbes is a lovely relaxed place with easy transport to 2 closest towns, we didn't really venture further than that as we had it all there - the best holiday, we'll DEFINITELY be back!

Couldn't ask for a better holiday
We had a brilliant stay her and would recommend to anyone! Paul (fox) could not have done any more for us and was very welcoming and helpful from start to end!
The location as great with just a five minute walk to Gibbs beach and no longer to Mullins beach which were both fantastic! White sand and clear water! What more could we ask for!
There were a few brilliant activities on Mullins beach, I would recommend the fly board for sure!!
All in all a really good holiday and would be sure to return!

Really great villa, fabulous owners
We really loved our holiday here at this villa. Paul (Fox) couldn't have been a better host. He was there if you needed him, stayed away if you didn't. He really went out of his way to make us feel welcome and to do whatever he could with respect to telling us where to go, getting food and supplies, hiring a car etc. The villa is great - in a lovely road, really close to the beach. It is wonderfully spacious with everything you could need in a home away from home. Paul and Laura and both really genuine - lovely to meet - and provided great customer service from the moment we booked until we left.
The location is great. Gibbs beach at the bottom of the road is just stunning. I've never seen better sunsets, we ended up there every night. Plus there is Mullins a 10 minute walk away which has loads of family entertainment and good food. The villa is on the best side of the island (I think).
The island felt really really safe and the people are lovely. We were considering Jamaica but we definitely made the best choice coming here.
We will definitely be back and I would absolutely recommend the villa to everyone. Thank you for a great holiday, it was the best family holiday we've had so far!
