The Studio can suit 3 friends, or a couple with 1-2 young children who are happy to share the open plan space. The Boat House Studio is in a wonderful area of outstanding natural beauty situated in St Lawrence on the Southern tip of the Isle of Wight and overlooking the English Channel surrounded by the Downs and lush countryside and its exotic flora and fauna.Come and stay in our stylish, self contained Boat House Studio. It is available for short stays. It is ideally located if you are walking, or cycling round the Island, or just want to experience the changing sea and skies and listen to the waves. The studio is situated within an area of outstanding natural beauty, only few minutes from bridle paths overlooking the famous Sugarloaf and Woody Bay and very close to Steephill Cove and Ventnor and with St Catherine’s Lighthouse nearby. The Studio is selfcontained and light, bright and quirky with its own entrance and double patio doors, which open onto a small private Mediterranean style patio to sit out on. There is an open plan small kitchen/ diner for making light meals with a comfortable lounge with TV and wifi access. The walk through open plan bedroom offers a large double and a bed settee ideal for couples, or a small family who enjoy openplan living. Our wonderful Pergola looks right over the sea, with spectacular views of the Sugar Loaf great for outside eating, a drink or a cream tea and there is a modern gas BBQ for use by guests. . A small welcome pack is available on arrival - arrangements for the key will be given in advance. Book in times are 3.00pm and departure times are 10.30am. We have a private parking space for the studio. There is a well-stocked post office/community shop across the road which offers a range of food and drinks, papers and other treats. We loved everything about the Boat House Studio from the welcome by Mark and Eve (including a glass of Pimms and a cream tea) to the wonderful location and the studio itself. It is very comfortable with every amenity you might need. It was so peaceful and fantastic views from the gazebo. We spent many a happy time drinking wine and tracking ships in the Channel. The property is really well positioned for exploring the whole Island and very easy access to Ventnor which is gorgeous. A special mention for the Spyglass Inn in Ventnor and the Garlic Farm restaurant. We definitely hope to return

Lovely studio. A little more space than expected. The welcome pack was thoughtful. We enjoyed the cream tea in the Gazebo overlooking the sea and sunset. Thank you Eve and Mark.

We stayed here over my birthday weekend and it was the most perfect weekend! We were able to have breakfast overlooking the water every morning and the coastal path is just down the road. The studio was immaculate, beautiful decorated and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a break on the beautiful Isle of Wight.

What an amazing place to stay overlooking the ocean. The place was spotless and equipped with everything you needed.. great walks around st Lawrence with amazing views. Eve & Mark left us a welcoming strawberry’s scones and cream, tea coffee and milk, and a big bottle of Coke because we don’t drink LoL. What a lovely welcome and the nicest couple. If we needed anything they were there for us.. lots of places to visit which none were very far away. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back again. We had a wonderful stay at the beach studio! We came for a few nights and were greeted by Eve & Mark, who welcomed us and took the time to show us around, as well as providing a lovely welcome pack of cream tea, wine, beer and milk! We really loved the gazebo outside, where we spent our evenings looking out over the sea - total bliss! The location is really good - St Lawrence is so peaceful and quiet. We had an amazing stay here and will definitely be back!! Thank you for everything.

Amazing place of serenity

Perfect place to relax
Very nice and quiet place with unique view to the sea. Perfect if you want to relax.
Owners was very nice and helpful. Advised best places to visit. On arrival day we found some nice snacks, which pleasantly surprised us.

Lovely stay in great location
We had a lovely relaxing time at Mark and Eve's. The property is perfect for 2 adults, and has lovely views over the sea from the garden. It's secluded and private, and well situated for access to Ventor, the Botanic Gardens, and the roads to the rest of the island.

Fantastic
Fantastic views and welcoming hosts made this the perfect getaway for us for a few days.
Close to Ventnor, Steep Hill, Botanic gardens with wonderful paths and beautiful villages.

The studio has a separate entrance from the rest of the house and was the quiet, relaxing break we needed. The welcome gift of a bottle of fizz and afternoon tea treats was a lovely touch. The view from the garden over the sea and use of their heated summerhouse to relax in the evening with a glass of wine was a real treat!Ventnor is a 45 minute walk along the spectacular cliff path and a 10 minute taxi ride back after our delicious pub lunch at the Spyglass Inn. We’d love to return someday to explore more of the island!

The property has astonishing views and very easy access to the beautiful coastal path. It was absolutely spotless, our hosts were very welcoming and super helpful. We just had a wonderful break and are planning to come back!

Amazing experience
We had a great experience in Isle of Wight. Mark and Eve are very accommodating hosts.We booked last minute, spend 12 days in the studio and had our bikes with us, and have been offered a safe place to keep them. The Boat Studio is beautiful, situated on the coast and the Pergola is overlooking the sea, perfect for sunrise or sunset. The area is stunning and the studio is minutes walk from Woody Bay, beautiful landmarks and there is coastal walk to the Botanical Garden and Ventnor. Definitely recommend The Boat House, Mark and Eve.

Excellent stay
Mark and Eve are very friendly hosts and make sure you have a warm welcome. The Bot house is lovely decorated and all you need will be there to have a comfortable stay. The view from the garden is amazing. We definitely will come back and can highly recommend the Boat House.

Immaculate and lovely!
The property was immaculately clean which was particularly reassuring as we stayed just at the end of lockdown measures, Mark was on hand to welcome us when we arrived and showed us around. The boathouse is decorated beautifully and is very spacious. Mark and Eve left some safe treats for us in the fridge and a welcome pack which was a lovely touch. All the info we needed was in the booklet and Mark and Eve really respected our privacy which is exactly what we wanted. We also got to meet all 3 cats over the course of the week and our 7 year old daughter was very pleased about this!

Memorable 60th
A lovely get away from it all stay to celebrate a big birthday. Mark and Eve were wonderful hosts. I couldn't fault their attention to detail. An exceptional welcome pack awaited my husband. The Studio was very comfortable and clean with amazing garden views of the ocean. Would definitely return to this lovely hideaway. Thank you Mark and Eve.
