Great for couples or families. No parties or events! Minimum age - 30
Feedback from Past Renters: 1. Private boat ramp was big plus--little tykes could wade into the water to splash; big tykes could wade in, board their floaties and not spill their drinks. N.B. Most Lake Norman properties' shorelines are lined with large rocks, relegating swimming to jumping off the dock (which you may do on this property also).
2. Large, flat back yard was great for family participation in badminton, volleyball, croquet, boccee ball, etc.
3. Lots of activities available inside at night or on a rainy day: billiards, ping pong, gaming table, darts, TV, stereo, games.
4. Quiet cove location to watch ducks and mallards swim by, yet only 1/4 mile from open water.
5. Owner's attention to decorating detail and cleanliness of house were big plusses.
Near-By Amenities: 1. Array of restaurants from 1.5 to 7 miles away, including pizza, steak/seafood, sports bars/restaurants, sushi, Mexican, Chinese and poke bowls, as well as fast food outlets.
2. New, large, upscale Publix grocery store, Pizza Hut and Mexican restaurant 1.5 miles from house. ABC store 2 miles away.
3. Within 7 miles of house: Dick's Sports, WalMart, Walgreen's, CVC, Bed 'n Bath, Best Buy, Staples, Lowe's.
4. Within 2 miles of house: marina for pontoon boat and jet ski rentals; large passenger boat for lake cruises/tours.
5. Antique stores in old downtown area--about 9 miles away.

We enjoyed playing in the water off the dock with our children and grandchildren. Fun times kayaking, floating and swimming. We saw lots of different birds, jumping fish and turtles Jerome the gazebo and dock.
We had a great time playing cards, pool, and puzzling.
The grill was used most nights and we were able to eat on the lower patio. We do recommend bug spray, especially in the early morning and evening.
Overall a good time was had by all!

Let me start by saying how great the owners are. We had a medical emergency arise prior to our vacation and thought we were going to have to cancel or postpone our trip. The owners came up with a fair outcome if we were indeed going to have to change our plans even through they were in no way obligated to do so. We really appreciated that. Luckily just part of our party had to come later than planed and all worked out in the end. The house is in a great area. Grocery store and eateries within minutes from the house. Marina where we had a boat for use wasn’t far as well which was nice. House is nicely appointed and thought out when it comes to amenities. We did not use the hot tub due to the heat but it was clean and chemicals and directions were there. Rooms were a great size. Beds comfortable. We had a great time. The only negative I would say was that while the basics of the house were clean it definitely needed an overall spring cleaning. Fans were dirty, dead bugs in the corners and door tracks. Oven needed cleaning and an overall cleaning of the cabinets and pantry is needed. While the house has every imaginable kitchen item I will have to say it maybe was too much. There wasn’t much cabinet space to put your own items/groceries. I am sure it is very hard though to keep up with cleaning/cobwebs especially when dealing with a house so close to the water. All in all great home and great vacation.

Our family members are from New England, NC and AZ. It was the perfect spot for all of us to be together. The house was lovely with many amenities. Would love to have a longer stay next time.

My family have been going on 11 years of being a VRBO Summer family Lakehouse getaway of Various NC and SC lakes. Lake Norman has been one of our favorite lakes to visit and swim in. I have to say that this beautiful house and property has fulfilled all of our needs. Mr.Jones is a very pleasant host, and in speaking with him on the phone and sharing information about the rental company of pontoon boats that were near by his property was very helpful. Although we decided not to use any of the services and brought our own kayaks instead and it suited our family just fine. I highly recommend this home and we will definitely rent again in the near future.♥️

Location was beautiful. House had all the comforts of home. I wish the owner was there for our arrival, so that obvious flaws would be noted by him, and we would not be blamed for them after we left. Namely, a crack in the floor by the pool table, 2 defective vacuum cleaners, a large crockpot that wasn't even there, an outdoor grill we couldn't get to work. I had a medical emergency while there, and EMS was there within five minutes, and the situation was resolved on the spot. Although the weather kept us inside, we never ran out of things to do.

Great place to go would highly recommend. Lots of fun things to do

We wanted to relax by the lake, play games with our teenagers, and celebrate my big birthday. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting outside in the morning and evening.

Prior to our stay, the host was very easy to reach for questions as we prepared for our family’s annual Thanksgiving trip. They even took time to purchase and stock the home with a new roasting pan! Upon arrival we found two awesome surprises awaiting our family; a cute basket with s’mores ingredients and a bottle of chilled wine. The outdoor fire pit had wood already setup and ready for us to use.
The home is spacious, very cozy, the kitchen is extremely well stocked and even had tons of spices which came in handy on turkey day! The game room was a highlight! Our family enjoyed the ping-ping/pool table, poker table, HOT TUB, fireplaces and the game room TV for football (GO Noles!). The yard is gorgeous and awesome for outdoor play, etc. and the charming gazebo is a great place to sit and enjoy the lake.
We thoroughly enjoyed this home and look forward to future visits.
Thanks for having us!

Beautiful home and a great location. We had a fantastic time.

This house had a lot of amenities and the listing was just as shown. The hot tub, pool table, volleyball and badminton were a hit with everyone. The owner was very easy to get ahold of. The only thing that we missed was lights down on the dock area and in the gazebo, but otherwise, it was absolutely fantastic!

Our group had the greatest time. The house was just as described. Very spacious and the view is amazing. One thing I found very convenient was the proximity to a Publix Supermaket, only about 4 mins away.
The Host, Fred is a very flexible person. He accommodated our check in/out process in order to make us feel more comfortable. Very quite neighborhood.

The back yard is wonderful for games. Our family enjoyed the back terrace porch with all the comfortable chairs and gas fire table. Lots of office desk space for family members that worked during our stay. The house is next to a trailer park, and at times noisy.

Fred was a wonderful, very thoughtful host and the house/location was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend!

Perfect family home for staying on Lake Norman. The house comfortably accommodated 2 different groups of folks we had with us: The first week , we had 4 adult and 4 teenage boys; the second week we had 6 adults and 2 teenage boys. Plenty of sleeping and bathrooms for all. At mealtime we enjoyed indoor and outdoor seating. The kitchen and bars are well stocked with pots/ pans, gadgets and cooking utensils. Lots of storage as well. Appliances for the most part in good working order. The Hot Tub and Ice Machine were being serviced during our visit so we were not able to use. The real goldmine of this property is the backyard and Lake Access. You have a lovely comfortable, covered, lower level with ceiling fans , overlooking the Lake to enjoy morning coffee , afternoon reading, and evening cocktails. We spent hours down in the gazebo, which boasts a working mini fridge, table/ chairs and benches, playing cards and board games. The yard is set up with horseshoes, badminton and croquet. There is a lovely veggie and herb garden too. Mr. Jones has done a wonderful job creating, in my opinion, the perfect lake outdoor space. He was readily available when we had questions and really great to work with. This is a true lake house, created to enjoy the lake. We loved our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay . Very cozy and All the amendities were so nice. The hot tub was very nice with great views . The back sliding door does not work so that was difficult going in and out . Overall , Very nice host and a great place to enjoy the quiet side of the lake. I hope someone enjoys my cozy pillow I left .

Property was suited for our family and was as advertised. On a quiet cove off the main lake, quiet neighborhood and lots of things to do at the property that kept us busy when we were there. We felt it was located in the right place for us, not in the middle of all the traffic we saw on the other side of the lake, but very accessible to where we wanted to go. Owner very accessible and friendly.

This is a great house to unwind and relax. Plenty of outdoor space as well as nice space inside.

The house is comfortable with a warm family feeling. Loved the two wood-burning fireplaces and peaceful setting right on the water. Easy drives to Lake Norman State Patk, Davidson, and other areas of interest.
4.8
Lovely home with lots of fun things to do there in the home.

The house was right on the water with a gazebo to enjoy the activity on the creek. The house came fully equipped with wood for a fire in the fireplaces. Enjoyed the back patio with table top fire pit and hot tub. When we arrived the hot tub was not working but Fred, the owner called the repairman & he was out the next day to fix it. The cleanliness of the house could of been better. The ice makers were not working but we had our own ice. Overall we had a nice visit.

Its close to shopping and supermarkets. Also if your interested in renting a boat or jet skis theres a location right down the road. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking to a vacation rental on lake norman.

The home was wonderful as well, room for the extended families that was with us, games and living space in the bsmt. was great for the younger group to hang out. Beautiful home, large back yard, great dock, friendly neighbors and a great area to enjoy boating on the lake. There is a boat ramp on the property which I would recommend using if possible. The nearest boat ramp is about 7 miles away by water (though only a couple of miles by car). There is a great cove for skiing and wake boarding not far from the house. Lots of activities for families on the property. We enjoyed pool, ping pong, darts, hot tub, badminton, volleyball and swimming off the dock (as well as hours of skiing, wake boarding and tubing). The owner was easy to deal with and very responsive to my questions. We would definitely recommend this home!

I can't say enough about this wonderful house and its owner. My family rented the house for a week over Thanksgiving just this year (2010). The house is the perfect spot for family get togethers, no matter the season. We had so much to do while we were there - fishing & feeding ducks at the dock, volleyball and badminton on the large, flat back yard, pool and ping pong tournaments in the basement at night, I could go on and on. The owner was so accommodating - he even purchased extra corning ware and brought it to the house because he wanted to be sure we had enough to prepare Thanksgiving dinner (we had plenty for our family of 9!!) He also left firewood, wine, fresh flowers in several rooms and there were magazines and books set out everywhere. He had even decorated the entire house for Thanksgiving – he really went above and beyond!! Plus the place was immaculately clean. The pics of this property don't even do it justice - all the bathrooms and the kitchen are top notch with granite and tile and upgrades everywhere. There are TVs in every bedroom. The separate living area downstairs made it so easy for us to relax and hang out after the kids went to bed at night. Aside from the pool/ping pong table downstairs, there is a tv room, card table, fireplace, office area, full bath & bedroom, ice maker, wine fridge, large laundry room and access to the porch and back yard. The house is conveniently located close to town where there is a Harris Teeter grocery store (with a Starbucks inside - the owner even left us his HT club shopping card) and plenty of stores (we did our share of black Friday shopping) & restaurants (we highly recommend the short drive to the Prickly Pear in Mooresville, NC). We look forward to returning to this lovely house with our boat this summer!!

My wife and I live in Charlotte and wanted to rent a house on the lake as a place to gather our parents for a long weekend. Simply put: this house was perfect. It had everything we wanted and more (like the fresh flowers and bottle of wine left for us by the owner). With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, we never felt crowded. The kitchen and open living/dining room made dinner time convenient and relaxed. We had a blast playing pool and darts in the awesome game room downstairs. The spacious lawn was great for playing games (volleyball and badminton provided), and the dock made it easy for a friend to bring their pontoon boat over. Oh, and the jacuzzi was a nice touch too...
We're already talking about making it back next year. The owner was a pleasure to work with; accomodating in every way. Thanks so much!

This was our second time renting this property. It would have been our third, but someone beat us to it last year! It's a wonderful house with a great air conditioning system, plenty of hot water for all, and an ice maker that filled our cooler without fail every day of boating. There are many added extras not found in most other rentals. We love the convenient boat ramp on the property and the U-shaped dock is a big plus. The owner has always been very accommodating and has taken care of our needs above and beyond the call of duty.
4.8
This rental property exceeded our expectations in every way. The home was immaculate and the grounds were well kept. We stayed during a very hot summer week and to say we were pleased with the air conditioning in the house is an understatement. We enjoyed the peaceful setting, the lake and the nightlife as well. We met a lot of nice people and had a wonderful time. We hope to return next year.
Our group highly recommends this property. You won't be disappointed.
