As the title indicates, we have stayed here two years in a row. It has everything we need to cook breakfast to get ready to ski all day and then fix dinner and relax after a long day. Comfortable beds and cozy living room. The owner had the driveway plowed and ready for us the day after nearly a foot of snow fell. Thanks!

Great location near seven springs. Perfect for small group of guys for ski and boarding trip. Lots of snow made getting into the driveway tricky, but plow service was there often. If you wife has cold feet, like mine, bring an electric blanket.

Lil Abner was an amazing location for us to get to the mountain quickly and be able to have quiet nights. We plan to get back here again! It was a great time!

I took a quick weekend off with my partner. It was beautiful the weather was amazing. The cabin is very cute and cozy. The loft is so cute and had a really comfortable mattress. The firepit was already for us. It's close to everywhere 7 Springs, Donegal, Hidden Valley. This was so relaxing

Lovely Little Quiet Spot Close to Outdoor Recreation
This cabin was perfect for our group of 3 whitewater kayakers, the location is central to many fishing, paddling and hiking opportunities. Seemed to only be 20-30 mins away from everything we wanted to do.
The beds were super cozy and the cabin had about any amenity you'd want.
I will definitely be back!

Everything seemed to be great except for the cleanliness and the furniture needs a little upgrade.
The cabin was cozy and comfortable and had all the amenities needed, but it just needs a good scrub-down and some inexpensive furniture replacements.

Great comfortable, peaceful cabin in a private location
Myself and my son had a very enjoyable weekend here at Lil Abner. The cabin is tucked away from the road and surrounded by trees making it feel very private
I had no idea how beautiful Laurel Hill State Park was and it is literally 3 miles down the road.
Loved the screened in porch, fire pit and nice flat open yard. This place has a very comfortable homey feeling that made it difficult to leave without feeling a bit sad. Definitely looking forward to staying again. Sam was a great host and went out of his way to accommodate our schedule. Thanks for everything. I'm truly appreciative.

Don't Expect The Taj Mahal
Let me start by saying we enjoyed our stay. Saw deer when we pulled in. Invited a few friends over around the fire pit one evening. Enjoyed drinks and snacks. Never had any issues. Though very rough accommodations at best! May have overlooked more if we observed cleanliness? But not a place for the COVID cleaned or upscale renter. Was made apprehensive when the Owner provided last minute “Notice” to enter using the road by the Barn and not the other driveway for “SAFETY REASONS”?? If you are looking for a rough “Hunting Cabin” that is isolated, this place is quaint. Though be prepared for an experience that will have you thinking up stories straight out of a horror novel. Lock and load, drink up, keep the lights on, sleep with one eye open and live to tell the story of Lil Abner Baby!

Remote, quite, quaint, peaceful.
Overall, for what we were there for, this cabin and location was perfect. We had our 2 dogs, so the property was key for them. I am a clean freak, so keeping in mind how old and rustic this place is, I had to overlook some things. It just needs a really good cleaning. It has everything you need for a stay, including central air. We enjoyed it. Thanks Sam!

Good long weekend stay.
The stay was great. No issues with anything. Sam came by and greeted us. The only thing to be aware is location it is a cellular dead zone. Sam told me in the first Communication. That I would need to connect to Wi-Fi calling. Other than that the state was great. Would do another stay if I was to travel this way again.

Conference accommodations
This property was perfect for a 6 day Search and Rescue conference we were attending at Seven Springs. So close to the resort and we had two dogs so the property surrounding the house was ideal! It is rustic accomodations but had everything we could have asked for and was clean. The beds are softer than we are used to but it was a great place to crash after full days of training with our dogs.

Weather wasn’t what we had hoped but the cabin was. Sam was very prompt with all of my questions and we were glad we could say hello in person. The cabin was quaint, beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be to leave suggestions for places to eat, recreation, etc. since we were not familiar with the area. Would recommend Sams cabin for a quick getaway to relax.

Great Laurel Highlands Location
This cottage was a great location for us as we were hiking the Laurel Highlands Trail. Need lids for pots. This is an older building and seemed a little pricy, but we enjoyed our stay and would go there again.
