It is 24' x 16' and has two queen beds, a kitchenette and a bathroom.
The beds are in the SAME room separated by a curtain.
Two large windows and a door face east on the walk-out side. It has lots of sunlight.

**AGAIN**
The rental entrance is on the lower level (basement) of the house. It DOES NOT include the upstairs. This is NOT the Hyatt. It is clean, private, quiet, comfortable, and priced accordingly!

We show pictures of the entire exterior so that you will recognize it! Not because we are offering the entire house! Don't stay here, and leave a bad review (as James Jordan did) because you were misled! This is for the walk-out basement ONLY!

It is privately situated, backing a conservancy on Historic Marion Hill. It overlooks downtown Richmond, VA. Enjoy the scenic views across the farmlands. Only 5 min. to downtown Richmond, yet it is COUNTRY! Convenient to Virginia Capitol Bike Trail, 3-5 miles to interstate 895 & 295; 45 minutes to Williamsburg. Walk to Clarke-Palmore House Museum just down the street.

7.6 miles ... 11 minutes to Osborne Park and Boat Landing with no stop lights!
A HUGE fenced yard with plenty of off street parking, and room to park a boat and trailer. Electrical Hook-up for charging boat gear. A hose bib, for rinsing, and washing fishing/boat gear. This rental is great for fisherman... Bass fishing tournaments.

A short drive to the restaurants, and sidewalks of historic Richmond, VA.
Spectacular views, and lots of privacy. One block from the Virginia Capital Bike Trail. Ideal for couples. No kids or pets allowed. This is a quiet neighborhood.

Dave was a great host. Met me at the property to help with truck/boat parking. Parking is a little tight getting though the gate, but if you can back a trailer its no problem. House was clean and cozy. Great place to stay when fishing the James River!

Stayed 4 days in Richmond. Chose the "cottage because of price and high ratings. Listing has a pic of the home on hillside overlooking city. Accommodations are actually in the cinderblock walk out, one room with 2 queens. 2 half drapes to separate the beds for "privacy"- looks like at one time it was the garage. We needed a cheap place to sleep so it served our purposes. Host was readily available, just misleading as advetised.

The basement room was ok and the bathroom was fixed up nice. It was a nice place for the week. Dave was there if we needed anything.

I couldn't have asked for more quiet secluded area with breathtaking views of the city. This place is close to shaco bottom which gives you access to all kinds of shops and restaurants, but it is just off the main road enough to give you full seclusion with the ability to enjoy the city lights from afar. The host was amazing and made sure that all of our needs were handled and then he skedaddled 😊 Will stay again!

Beautiful Property with plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors, very nice to move around the property and not feel confined to the indoors.

McCoul Cottage was an excellent location for our quick weekend. We were attending an event less than a mile away and could ride our bikes to it and not worry about parking. It is accessible to the Virginia Capitol Trail which we very much enjoyed! Great location, great views. Dave is a great host - very friendly and responsive. Everything was as described in the listing and we thank Dave for sharing his home for our getaway.
