About this house rental
A private retreat in Berkshires set on 5 acres in prime location in Lenox - our all-season property offers secluded luxury whilst offering close proximity to Tanglewood, Ski slopes, hiking trails, Lakes, the historic town of Lenox and other Berkshire towns. Chic furnishings, eclectic artwork and modern amenities make this house the perfect spot to unwind in the Berkshires. You can rent the whole property for up to 15 people. There are two buildings on the property, the Main House sleeps 11 and the Studio sleeps 4.
Main House [4400sqft]: This charming 1920s log cabin has an expansive layout with a breezeway connecting a newer section. Inside you will find five well-appointed bedrooms, three beautifully renovated bathrooms and a powder room. The heart and soul of the house is an expansive living room with a brick fireplace, furnished with stylish antiques and big comfortable sofas, a TV area, and a grand piano. Step out of the living room, onto a balcony to take in the pristine views of the valley below. Right behind the living room is a study and a king bedroom with a full bath. The second floor has two spacious bedrooms (one king and three twins respectively) which share a full bath with a claw foot tub and a separate shower. At the other end of the house, you will find an inviting country kitchen that opens up to a large dining area. The farm table seats 10 comfortably, and there is an adjoining dining area for children. Above the kitchen are two queen bedrooms, a hall bathroom with shower, and a TV den. There’s high speed wifi internet throughout the house.
Studio [1200sqft]: Just a few steps from the main house, is our two-bedroom guest house Studio - which can only be rented by the guests in the Main House. The bright and airy guest house originally used to be a photography studio. On the ground floor there’s a new kitchen, an open plan living room and a dining area with a table that seats six. The guest house has its own wifi router for easy internet access. The ground floor bathroom also has a laundry closet. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The bedroom on the ground floor is next to the bathroom. The upstairs bedroom, located a few steps above the main living area, has lovely sky lights.
Gazebo: This property originally used to have a clay tennis court that fell into disrepair. So we repurposed it and built a screened-in living space by the woods' edge, with a 16 seat dining table and sofas for lounging. In this substantial new space you will be able to enjoy long, leisurely meals al fresco, and then curl up for a nap while listening to birds and crickets sing. During the cold season, you can enjoy a fire in the large in-ground fire pit right outside the Gazebo.
Not just a conventional vacation rental, we’ve set up this property as our own retreat with a lot of thought and care. Choosing to rent a home instead of booking a hotel room allows you the space to get together with friends and family in comfort and privacy. But you shouldn't have to sacrifice the luxury you may enjoy during a hotel stay. At the end of your stay, all you need to do is pack your bags and walk out the door. We don't expect you to strip the beds or empty the fridge. The only thing we do request is to take out the garbage and the recycling to the bins in the garage. We offer a worry-free experience right up to the last moment!

The property was amazing. The location is continent to downtown Lenox, and it was clean and well maintained.

The property was beautiful and spacious. We had a group off 11 people ranging from ages 1 - late 60's and it was the perfect location in the Berkshires for our family to spend time together. There was ample space for privacy and time together - and it was especially lovely to have games, toys and outdoor space for the kids. There were lovely amenities which we appreciated - nice towels, cozy bedding and a terrific kitchen and living space. We could not have asked for anything more.

We stayed for a week from 8/4/24 to 8/11/24 and cannot say enough about how excellent this place was. Our extended family included ourselves (the grandparents) and our kids and their families -- including children about equally split between little (1-5 yrs) and teens (12-18 yrs.)
This place was incredibly well appointed. Any pot or pan we could have needed, hot pads, dish towels, instant kettle, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, cutlery, as well as dishware (ceramic and plastic for the little ones) etc. I dare say it was, in some respects, better than my own kitchen.
In addition, equally well stocked games, puzzles and toys (both for the older kids and adults, and the littler kids) Our 4 year old was entranced with the number of Disney princess dresses and the toddlers loved the children's alcove area with play kitchen, play food, little barn with animals.
It is quite spacious - a huge living room with grand piano, large fireplace, equally large TV and lots of comfy seating.
The same care was taken with the appointment of the bedrooms and baths both in the main house and the studio. The screen house ( gazebo is too small a word) accommodated everyone to eat when we grilled and the fire pit was put to good use for s'mores.
But most of all, the responsiveness of the hosts was spectacular. Their quick responses to our texts, despite being out of the country, was phenomenal. And always courteous and efficient in answering our questions and needs.

Everything went off without a hitch. Caitlin answered our many emails quickly and helpfully. The property is beautiful, and the two houses accommodated the 15 of us, with everyone having their own privacy space. The common areas, including several tucked away areas for the children, were spacious and welcoming. The huge screen house provided a place for meals and games. Minutes from downtown Lenox and Tanglewood and restaurants. If we travel to the Lenox area again, we would rent this location without a moment's hesitation.

We recently stayed at this property for a nearby family gathering. Our party included our children, nieces and nephews and siblings. The setting is gorgeous and location excellent ( down the road from Tanglewood and close to main area of Lenox ). The home itself is large and sprawling with beautiful grounds and lots of large common spaces. There is a separate "studio " that has 2 bedrooms. This accommodation worked great for our large group and we would consider a future rental!

Location and grounds are excellent as listing indicates. I rented the property for 8 adults and 6 children, all between 2 and 8.
It was most distressing to find a dead mouse in a trap in the living room. Several other traps were located throughout the house which my husband removed as they posed a risk to young children. Mouse droppings were seen in a few locations. It is unacceptable to rent a property with mouse traps and an obvious problem.
The owner did refund the cleaning fee.

Our group of 12 girlfriends stayed here and it could not have been more perfect! The common areas are large and comfortable, but the bedroom spaces (also incredibly comfortable) allow for lots of privacy. The house was stocked with everything we needed and the communication with the owner was clear and efficient.
This is a great property for large groups and would perfectly accommodate a few families.

Such a lovely and comfortable home set amongst the gorgeous hills of Berkshire County, full of Fall colors. Very cozy, with all the modern amenities and tons of space for a group of friends. We were so happy to be back again this year, our new annual tradition!

Plenty of space for 14 of us, even on a rainy day. Very kid friendly, play areas around every corner. We all loved the fabulous fire pit, and the outdoor screened room!

A unigue property seemingly designed for a family retreat! Main house had 5 bedrooms BUT designed for privacy: 2 bedrooms on each side of the seamless combination of a log cabin and a later structure with the fifth bedroom on the first floor. Old buildings wonderfully modernized. And we also used another building just a few feet away that had two more bedrooms, one on each floor, a large living room and a full kitchen and bath. The kitchen was superb, everything you could possibly imagine with a table that sat 12 and a second kids' table a few feet away. The property also has a screened in structure that likely sits 30 around two large tables. Tire tree swings, infant tree swing and other opportunities to enjoy the private grounds abound. IF YOU ARE HEADING IN THE AREA OF lENOX WITH A LARGE FAMILY OR A FEW COUPLES, DON'T MISS IT!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is a very large property with plenty of room for our group of 10 adults. The property has a well-equipped kitchen which made making meals easy. It also had lots of bathrooms, all of which were provided with lots of towels, hair dryers etc. While only about a mile and a half from the center of Lenox, the property is secluded (no noisy neighbors!). The property owner was very helpful. All in all, this is an excellent place to spend some time in the Berkshires!

I can’t say enough great things about this property. 8 women of all ages met in Lenox for a weekend of knitting and friendship. There was plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Everyone said their beds were comfortable and they slept well. The long dining room table was perfect for eating together and our knitting workshop. We all remarked at how well the kitchen was stocked with dishes, pots and pans and utensils. The outdoor space is amazing. We all sat outside in various small groups enjoying the gorgeous weather. Each morning a group walked to town and back. 3 miles total. The only problem we had was we didn’t stay long enough. We will definitely go back.

The home was really a true gem . We rented the main home and guest home. Which was plenty big for 3 families ..we were mixture of adults and kids. The main home was cozy, very historic in its appeal but not old and dusty. Truly a comfortable home. Nice family room with fire place , plenty cozy. Kitchen has it all and bedrooms are plenty big. My favorite was the outside fire pit . Great hiking trails nearby. If we are back in berkshires in near future, would definitely stay at this gem once again. Hosts are super responsive as well.

The house is large and spacious with many bathrooms, and is very comfortable. The living room area is huge and the kitchen is well-equipped. It is very close to Kripalu and to the town of Lenox which has cute shops and restaurants. A definite thumbs up!

Myself and 10 long-time friends enjoyed this incredible home for a girls’ fall getaway. The home is situated on a gorgeous hillside just outside of Lenox (5 minute drive), surrounded by tall trees, beautiful hills and a marsh in the close distance. The home fit our groups of 11 women so comfortably. There were nice beds for everyone and plenty of bathrooms. The dining and living rooms fit us very well, with no overcrowding at all. Plus there were plenty of spots to break out in small groups for catch ups and discussions. The kitchen was well stocked as were the bathroom amenities. The outdoor space was perfect as well - a grill area with dining table, a large fire pit and a huge outdoor enclosed dining area. There was ample parking and a very private feeling as well. My girl friends and I have rented numerous large homes throughout New England over the years and this one is definitely at the top of the favorite list. We will be repeat renters for sure and can’t wait until next time!

This property is beautiful! Our family of 13 had plenty of room and the kids enjoyed the swings and the loads of toys and books that were there for them. I'd highly recommend it for any large group!!

The house was wonderful with lots of room to spread out. The yard is great. It would be a magical place for children to stay also.

We stayed for a week over the Fourth of July for an annual family get together with kids and grand kids built around outdoor activities and family barbecues. The location in Lenox was perfect -- less than two miles from Tanglewood (thank you, James Taylor) and very close to Lenox shopping, hiking trails and more. The house is ecclectic, fomfortable and sprawling, with a great kitchen, wonderful grounds and this awesome screened-in pavillion that reminds you of a summer camp dining hall. Our hosts were wonderfully responsive, and we could not have had a bette3r time.

This is a beautiful home, in a lovely location. Private, yet close to town. Elegant and comfortable. Expansive spaces for dining and lounging, indoors and out. Well- equipped kitchen. The layout works very well for gathering family and friends.

This house is a perfect space for large families (or for grandparents, parents, and children of all ages) to come together. There are plenty of cozy spaces for small groups and also larger spaces for everyone to gather for meals or games. The well equipped kitchen is adjacent to an irresistible play area complete with child-sized table, chairs, stove, and sink. It was the favorite hang out for 1-4 year olds. Everyone enjoyed sitting around a beautiful large fireplace decorated with Christmas lights. The house is set back on a small hill in the woods, just outside of the charming town of Lenox. This is a great place for hiking including at a near by wildlife refuge.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at this property. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. The property is large and fits many and has all you need, including any kitchen items you need for cooking. There is plenty of space for relaxation as well as tons of outdoor space. We fit 10 people here comfortably (6 adults, 4 children).

Great house for a large group. We had 8 people there very comfortably. Variety of living spaces and pavilion with firepit were a real treat. We'd stay there again.

We were three generations getting together for a week at this property. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make a variety of meals including cookies and a cake. The two and four year olds enjoyed the many puzzles and toys as well as the ample grounds. Nearby hikes, restaurants and movie theaters (in Pittsfield) gave us a number of entertainment options. When thunderstorms made us lose power, the owner was responsive in getting the problem reported to the utility.

Large rustic and modern home in a lovely location. We were 3 couples and 6 children and had more than enough space. The property itself is in a beautiful location in Lenox, walking distance to the restaurants and trails. The new outdoor dining area and firepit was essential. House was more than well-equipped and
communication with Caitlyn was a breeze. Can't wait to book again soon!

The property was perfect for a multigenerational, Covid-era birthday celebration. It is comfortable, well-located and well-equipped, with plenty of space both indoors and out for gathering. We especially enjoyed the large, screened pavilion where we ate all our meals. The owners were very helpful and responsive when we had questions. We hope to return for another happy occasion.

This was the perfect venue for a family reunion. The kids loved the rope swing and we all loved the hammock. So much to do in the area, so near by. The large dining table accomodated many shared meals, and the enormous family room was the perfect meeting place for kids, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. good internet!
We cooked a lot and found absolutely everything we needed. Really accurately described but exceeded our expectations. That said - the two dormer rooms in the main house have very low ceilings -- just watch out when you stand up.

We stayed here with our extended family for Thanksgiving, and could not have been happier with the accommodations. The main house provides great space with ample bedrooms, a fantastic living room, and inviting kitchen and dining area. The guest house is just a few steps away and conveniently provided private space for more of our family who could enjoy the additional living room space with views out to the snowy backyard and a small kitchen just for them. I would recommend both homes without hesitation.

My extended family of 12 adults and 3 toddlers absolutely loved the property. The main house was huge (especially the kitchen and living room), and allowed us to spread out enough (and allowed the kids to be separate when they needed to be). The smaller house was also great and allowed for some additional privacy when we needed it. Everything was in excellent shape and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was also stocked well! Absolutely loved it and we will book again!
