The place is fantastic. It has everything and it is perfectly located. There is this warm feeling about the place. Well taken care of and well provided. It’s great to have access to this parking next to the house (5€/day). We are looking forward to going back to Monschau. The host was really nice and accommodating.

Good location right in historic center, sunny roof terrace, modern bathroom, parking space available
WiFi access bit unclear, but this was resolved quickly

Great location at the beginning of the main street, but still very quiet. The terrace was my favourite part of the holiday home. It overlooks the river Rur and the leafy city park. We had breakfast there almost every morning, it's on the east side, so you can enjoy the sun. Another bonus is the private parking. For 5 euros a day you can park next to the property. The holiday home is located above a shop and consists of 2 floors. It offers a main bedroom with a double bed and a smaller bedroom with 2 single beds on the second floor. There's a living room (with dvd and cd player), fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and terrace on the first. There's a toilet on both floors. In the morning it's only a short walk to the bakery where you can get fresh bread, but you can also have breakfast at Kaulard on the market. Almost next to the property you'll find Senfonie, where you can buy mustard and other local delicacies. I also highly recommend the coffee roaster Wilhelm Maassen next to Senfonie. They have great takeaway coffee and even coffee ale! There are many restaurants in Monschau, but the fully equipped kitchen is also ideal if you want to cook yourself. We got our groceries from Kaufland, 4 km outside Monschau.
Good to know: You can use the washer-dryer at an extra cost. There's a fridge, but it does not have a freezer.
Because of corona you have to bring your own bed linen and towels. Make sure you bring face masks too, you will need them at the shops and restaurants.
