It fit our needs well. 2 small complaints-no internet service and the owner did not respond to an e-mail about this issue. Not enough toilet paper or paper towels.

If you read through old reviews please know there is a new couch! It’s not totally upgraded but well furnished, clean, in decent area with a quick 10 walk to the metro.

Large house that sleeps 7 people comfortably, house was clean and tidy. J train is within easy access but a 30-45 min ride from Manhattan including the walk to the subway. We were kept awake throughout the weekend by the party that goes on until 3:00am, the area itself is rundown and not ideal after dark. The house is “tired” and needs some attention, plug sockets are still not working. Overall we enjoyed our stay but wouldn’t return to Bushwick for our holiday. Had no issues with the owner, contact was great from Brendan.

Our stay was amazing. Brandon was extremely accommodating making sure we had access to the house as soon as we landed so that we weren’t pulling our luggage through the city. The instructions left for the house were clear and he even gave us a list of several nearby restaurants. The house was clean, we had (10) house guests total and there was more that enough space and bathrooms (2) 1/2. The house has (3) King beds and (2) queen. The first room is A King room on the main level with a 1/2 bathroom. There are (4) rooms upstairs - the master is a King room and has a full bathroom. There is another full bathroom in the center hallway. We had plenty of towels and linens. The house is huge, well kept and great for large parties. The kitchen has 95% of what you need depending on if your cooking - you’ll need foil, and your own seasoning if you use more than the basics - appliances are high end and work great - the backyard is spacious they have a grill and patio furniture. The living room furniture is new the couch doesn’t have any damage and is extremely comfortable- there is a sofa sleeper if needed. The house is about a 5 minute walk from the subway- if your new you will need to download the subway app. We truly enjoyed our stay, this property comes highly recommended. We did not experience and loud noise or parties at all

The apartment was a good size for 9 adults. 4 double beds and 2 singles in 5 bedrooms. The kitchen has plenty of appliances and utensils. Air conditioning in every room, which was needed as August is very hot and humid. All told it was a good property and we would recommend it. A few issues you may want to take into account. Some of the sockets in the bedrooms don't work and although we did contact the owner re this he didn't get back to us. Two of the bedrooms have the air conditioning units right behind your head. It's quite a way out of manhatten, probably 45 mins including a 10 min walk to the subway. There is a "rave or Nightclub" call it what you will from Friday to Sunday. If you are in the back two rooms you will struggle to sleep until it finishes at 3.00 am! Not the owners fault but worth knowing. Definitely go to Dumbo. You get the "iconic" pictures of Brooklyn bridge, plenty of restaurants and great views of Manhatten. New York is an amazing place and despite a couple of issues we would still recommend it.

Overall we had a very good experience at the Bushwick home. The property was close to the J train and grocery store, so very convenient. We were 3 families, our selves with two little kids, my aunt and her husband, my cousin, his fiance and her son. So the bedroom situation worked out great. Enjoyed the large dining table for meals and hanging out to catch up. The window air conditioning units did their job keeping the rooms cool and comfortable.
The only things we wish we knew a bit more about before hand was parking. We know are not the norm having rental cars however we took several trips to Yonkers to visit family and we drove down to Maryland after our stay in NYC. Anyway, we had to do some figuring out of the various street signs on where and when you can park, and the double parking most everyone does during the 1-1/2 trash truck pick up time. We're figured it out and it wasn't a big deal, but a blurb on the site or checkin materials would have been great.
A previous guest mentioned the couch. It's old and comfortable, but definitely bottomed out in some areas so you had to adjust your seating. The top layer was coming off a lot and leaving a mess of the floor, so we had to sweep. But again, not a big deal.
The last thing was a couple building down was a very loud party until past 1am on a Monday night. Albeit it was summer so we weren't too upset, but having a note on what guests can do in that case would be great too. Friday night and Saturday night were loud too, with outdoor music on stoops until almost 230am. But again we figured it was summer and the NYPD website says they respond to noise complaints in 8 hours, which seemed like too long too wait, so we never called or submitted an online complaint. However our guest host said we could have called 311. Just something to add to the checkin instructions.
Again overall a great place, good location, very NYC vibe outside.

Authentic NY living while on vacation
For the property location, this property was decent. Needed minor repairs but very suitable. The size of each of the rooms were great and the living areas were awesome. Some of the furnishings need to be replaced especially the couch.

Lovely Apartment in Authentic Brooklyn
Lovely apartment, Spacious and just as pictured. Although the sofa looks like its been attcked by a clowder of cats, it served its purpose well. Brendan was helpful with any problems and the vast array of music coming from the streets at early hours of the morning only enhanced the atmosphere.
Would stay again on a return trip.
Thanks.

Okay place, okay neighborhood, need to replace broken/dirty living room couch
The 4 br. upstairs and one downstairs and 2 and 1/2 bathrooms are nice. All the beds are ok except the king bed upstairs is sagging and uncomfortable. The big fake leather couch is broken and peeling/dirty and we had to put a sheet over to feel that we could sit on it; as well, the body is broken with some nails protruding in the back. The kitchen is well stocked but needs hot mitts, and one kitchen towel is not enough. Heavy rain one night caused one bedroom to leak from an old scar on the ceiling and we had to move our grandkid out to other room, fearing that the roof might fall down. The fridge needs a lightbulb. The ground coffee and the soda in the fridge helped us start the first night. Thanks. Internet was down one night and the repairman was there promptly. Upstairs walls between 2 bedrooms had no power to all outlets. If all these issues are fixed, the house is okay for the price. The dining room is large with a big table and enough chairs 8-9 people.

Nice location / exactly as advertised
We had a great stay at this property. The property owner was very responsive to any emails we sent in advance of our stay and provided some good information about local restaurants and other local points of interest. I would definitely stay here again.

Comfy and Cozy
We had three families of four that stayed at the property. There was enough room for everyone, two had to stay in the living room and the fold out couch was broken. They ended up sleeping on the couch and on an air mattress. The leather on the couch was peeling off. There was plenty of hot water for the entire group for showering. The kitchen was well equipped. The owner was very nice and helpful when we exchanged e-mails/messages about the property, but sometimes slow to respond. It's a 5 minute walk to the Metro and grocery store. I would stay here again.

What a wonderful place, ez access to trains, stores, barber shop for the boys, nice neighborhood!
We had a great stay, plenty of room for the 10 of us, clean, plenty of linens, nice area, ez access to all. Owner quickly responsive to our needs and we had a marvelous time in Brooklyn and NY City. My family came from Texas, Utah, Oregon, and CA for a grand-daughters wedding and took in so much sight-seeing. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks for the accommodations...we appreciate the offering.

Experience the life of a New Yorker here.
Great “home” away from home to explore NYC by way of Brooklyn. Our group enjoyed our stay. Lots of room, well equipped to make your own meals. Grocery stores, pharmacy, subway nearby to make life convenient. We hope we can return sometime and live the real New York life again.

EXCELLENT!!!
Being from the country, I was not sure exactly what to expect. The neighborhood was descent. We had some late nights. Every once in awhile, we would could smell pot as we walked through the streets from the subway, but I never felt unsafe. The people we met were friendly or kept to themselves. We arrived in a 15 passenger van and parking was not a problem. We had a plumbing issue the first night and called Brendon and he was on it!! Our vacation never skipped a beat. The air conditioning worked well. There was plenty of seating inside and out. There was plenty of towels. The beds were amazing!! We were traveling with 10 adults and had plenty of room. We purchased unlimited subway cards and used the J train (a few blocks away) to get to many places or connections. It was well worth the price to stay here and use the subway to get places. I looked at several places, but this one had everything we needed. I have no regrets about staying further outside the city and having more amenities. One note: NYC does not tend to be handicapped friendly. If planning to use the subway, be prepared for a lot of stairs or taking time to find stations with elevators (sometimes difficult to find), or use taxis/Uber. The house also has stairs, but that was expected. The house was excellent, and we would stay there again. Highly recommended!!!

The property was wonderful it had everything my family need for our vacation.
Very beautiful property everything in the picture are real. It’s convenient to the subway and local stores by walking. The neighbor are very nice and helpful and the property owner is the best whenever we needed something he was right on it . We will be staying at this property again.

Awesome stay in Brooklyn
My family and I were in Brooklyn to celebrate my mom's 100th birthday. This clean, spacious and comfortable home was great for our family. It is located near to convenience stores, other shopping and the subway. Everyone had everything they needed. I highly recommend staying here when you visit NYC. We will be back in Brooklyn and would love to stay here again.
