Location is excellent. Apartment is as pictured...clean, comfortable furniture, and effective air conditioning. Kitchen is not really set up to cook, but has essentials. Charleston is a fun city and this VRBO was a good choice.

House in the middle of all the attractions. We walked everywhere. My granddaughters loved the small room with the twin beds. House very clean and had everything we needed.

I can't imagine a better location. We could walk to everything, and the kids loved that we were right next to the carriage tour stables. Everything was clean and well stocked, and we had great communication with the host. We'll definitely stay again!

We ended up booking this property at the last minute after we had to leave our 1st rental in Charleston due to security concerns. The owners of this property are wonderful and very responsive. The property itself is gorgeous, extremely clean and very comfortable. It is right downtown, which made it so convenient for all of the activities we booked during our stay. Even though it is one block from the Market, it is very quiet at night. We were so happy we found this place and plan on booking it for our next trip to Charleston.

Fantastic property that is walking distance to anything you’d like to see. Being next to the horse stables was an absolute treat. Great place for kids.

Golf weekend with the fellas
Great space, a bit quirky with the two seating areas but that might work to some groups advantage. It is just as advertised with the 3 floor walk up and third bedroom which is really just big enough for the two single beds. All appointments were very high quality....cooking appliances, countertops flooring, bathroom fixtures, Laundry necessities, etc. Not very scenic to the outside world with limited views in most rooms. The location, although bordering on an industrial part of Charleston, is really very, very convenient for all of the stuff you come to Charleston for.... Parking is super convenient too! Andrea was great and there was even a property manager available to meet our Instacart driver as they arrived before us.

Wonderfully located property
The property was beautiful and well appointed. We were able to walk to most restaurants we wanted to go to and only had to take the car out when we went out to Sullivans Island, Folly Beach and the plantations. The market is 1/2 a block away and Callies Hot Little Biscuits are a great grab and go in the morning. Also, we found this very strange little pizza place that is literally across the parking lot. The teenagers loved this as the slices were gigantic and sold by the slice. They would walk over there and get pizza and play the old pac man game. It was very old school and delicious. Giovannis was the name.
The Harris Teeter grocery store is 1 block away. The Charleston carriage rides are the next building and so you see the horses everyday but don't worry you can not smell them from inside the unit. It was fun to see the comings and goings from there.
Some considerations on the unit. The queen bedroom was very hot all of the time. I would recommend adding a ceiling fan or a floor fan for this person. Another consideration was the closet beds. We had two teenage boys so they didn't seem to care but the twin beds are literally in a closet and if you close the doors, there is no air conditioner in there so you must keep the door open. A fan in here would also be helpful at night.
We had a great time and would definitely go back and stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay! Walked to everything and loved the apartment. Perfect weekend and will be back for sure.

Nice Place, Great location, But...
Great location. Nice place. But street noise is really bad. Hiking three flights of stairs is rough and the place needs more room (dressers ,etc) to store clothes. All the dressers (which may be plenty) were filled with bed linens. My VRBO experiences (12 of them) have all been excellent. This one...nice place, great location but has some challenges

We really enjoyed our long weekend in Charleston. This rental was perfect for our family. You can’t beat the location and amenities. The property owner was also a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent value. Very well appointed with quality products. Only negatives were lack of pleasant table/floor lighting in common areas next to seating, lack of inside deadbolts on entry doors (just annoying alarms) and serious risk of tripping (as both wife and son did on first day) in the almost invisible 4” transition from dining to living area. Owner should address this.

Clean and Convenient
The location is very convenient. We enjoyed parking the car and being able to walk to everything (except the beaches). Marie communicated all the details and provided links to great information so we could easily plan our first family trip to Charleston. The suite was clean and well cared for but if you are a light sleeper, come prepared for some street noise (Bay Street) outside the master bedroom.

Amazing all around
We absolutely loved this place. The apartment was exactly what you see on line but even better. Immaculately clean, the bathrooms and kitchen were great, the beds were very comfortable and the space was great. The location is perfect - very close to the markets and to everything downtown. Highly recommended although for the 3 of us it was probably too much space. It’s probably overpriced a little (just based on my other rentals in the past) but I also don’t regret the experience or what we put into it. Overall a great experience.

You will love this location!!!
Our family stayed in this charming flat in the heart of the historic district and loved it. Really spacious and felt like home. We never needed our car, but found it a dynamite benefit that the flat came with a parking space which is hard to come by in the area. My daughters loved the fact that we could see the carriage company from our windows and were able to enjoy the city market each and every day we stayed. The Flat was very clean and had everything we could think of in the way of comforts. Brand new appliances, full size washer and dryer, very nice linens, etc.
The beds were really comfortable and the 2 main bedrooms are very large. We especially loved the 2 sitting areas.
We will definitely return! Thank you Marie for your hospitality and tips for dining spots. Your love of the city really came through in your care and attention to details!

Wonderful Stay in Downtown Charleston
We stayed at The Charleston Chestnut Mansion for 4 nights and didn't want to leave.
First, let me say that Marie, who manages this place is very courtesy, helpful and accommodating. She was easy to work with in setting up the reservation and promptly return our emails/calls when we had questions. She also meet us early in the day to accommodate our schedule to check us in. Left her number to call anytime if we had questions during our stay.
The vacation rental is one of the best places we stayed at in Charleston. Prime location, private parking at the door, perfect accommodations for a large family or multiple couples. It was so nice to have a full kitchen, to save on cost for some meals, a living room (2 of them) to get together, and separate bedrooms not so close together. The place was well maintained and keep in great condition, which such nice touches as having bath products, robes and slippers, kitchen supplies (coffee, butter, filters, drinks, etc), and even beach bags. You felt at home, as soon as you walk through the door.
We hate to give away this secrete place to stay, as I'm sure when more people find out about this place, it will be booked up, but they did such a wonderful job, they deserve the business. We plan to stay there if available as often as we visit Charleston.

Wonderful Charleston Spot
We loved this property. We are a family of 4, 2 children under 10 and it was perfect! This porvided all the comforts of home. Marie was very helpful and gave great information on places to visit and eat. It was the perfect location to go all over downtown either walking or via pedi cab. We will be back again next year.

Location is amazing!
This is a very pleasant place to stay . It was very clean and everything was like new. We only used 2 bedrooms. The 3rd bedroom was not a full room but we didn't need that anyway, Marie is so nice and eager to assist us . We loved the location which is walkable to everything . We didn't enjoy the 3rd floor walk up as much but it won't keep us from returning to this jewel in the middle of Charleston! Thank you , Marie for a wonderful stay!

Wow, what an amazing place and in such a fantastic location! We had such a blast staying here for our annual ladies reunion. The place is gorgeous, totally spotless and with everything we needed for our stay. The location could not have been better - so convenient to historical sights, yummy restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be back next year!

Great location, beautiful property!
We stayed while visiting our Citadel cadet for a weekend. Perfectly comfortable for 5 with 2 large bathrooms, two dens, and a great kitchen. The location on East Bay St is extremely convenient (steps away) to dining, shopping, and sight seeing. It has all you need including nice appliances, large refrigerator and fluffy towels. The 3rd floor villa does require you to climb 3 stories of stairs but was not a problem for us. Parking on property but we never needed our car. We hope to stay here again on our next visit!

Gorgeous property!!!
We loved our stay here! Was just for a long weekend over winter break. The kids loved being so close to Market Street and all the fun stuff going on there. DEFINITELY go eat at 5Church if you stay here! Awesome food and great atmosphere.
We stayed in the third floor of this property, the second floor can also be rented out (separate VRBO listing), but during our visit we were the only ones there. We cooked breakfast every morning and greatly appreciated the quality pots and pans, along with the seasonings that were fully stocked!
Only thjng I needed while there was a second set of sheets for the twin beds. My son threw up in the middle of the night and since there were no spare linens, he slept the rest of the night on the couch. No big deal. Honestly that’s the only thing we would suggest for this house.
Other than that, it was PERFECT!
