The owner is really friendly, we had really interesting conversations. He also gave us really good advice on what to visit. We had dinner at the place and the food was really nice. The rooms are clean.
The rooms and common spaces are a bit dark, but I think that's part of the traditional construction. The room was simple but comfortable. it would have been nice to have a shelf or wardrobe to put our things

Nahe Ait Ben Haddou, hilfsbereiter freundlicher Vermieter.
Defekte Toilettenspülung, so wie es aussieht schon länger. Frühstück etwas sparsam kein Ei, kein Saft keine Früchte.

Majid is such a warm and welcoming host. We booked on very short notice and yet we welcomed us with hot tea and a lovely conversation. He also asked us in advance if we would want to have dinner at his place and agreed with us on the food, which was a delicious Berber traditional couscous. I would definitely come back!
The access with the car was a bit confusing, but once you get there you can even leave the car inside the property and it's all good :)

Extremely welcoming hosts, warm atmosphere, felt like home. Wish I could stay more as it feels like truly local experience.

The accomodation is located a 5 minute drive away from Ait Ben Haddou. It is quiet and relaxed. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, very attentive and good at hosting. Great dinner for extra cost. The breakfast was included in price, pretty decent Moroccan style. The rooms get hot in the day (bc you are in the desert) but cool off in the night due to the traditional style of building. Pretty basic rooms but everything you need and amazing for the price!
A great place to stay for one night whilst visiting the historic kasbah. Merci beacoup

This riad was a great value and run by really kind people. When we asked about getting a tour of Air Ben Haddou the riad’s owner has his cousin — who is a tour guide — come over to show us around and the tour was fantastic. The food was good, though the dining space was a bit complex for multiple different groups.
There was no AC - which was okay the night we were there but I would be wary of later in the season. The fan in the room was helpful. The water also never got very hot.

Our host upgraded our room to a larger room. It was more comfortable.
Having the option to eat at the hotel was good, especially if you have been travelling all day.
Friendly hosts.
Toilet needed manual flushing by filling up with a bucket.
Had to ask to have hot water turned on each time we wanted a hot shower.
Single beds were rock hard.
The beds are doubles, not queen or
King size.

Owner is very very helpful. I ran into some issues with the police (car broke down), he went out of the way to make sure I was able to resolve the issue. For this point alone I highly recommend staying here. The place is cozy as well.

Such a lovely place and hosts! Can absolutely recommend it. It is very clean and quiet and the hosts are super friendly. One night we could even join in the kitchen for the cooking. Also very close to Ait-Ben-Haddou. Even though it might be good to have a car for reaching the accomodation..

They offer delicious dinner. Very quiet.
The place is a bit in the middle of nowhere. It's better if you have your own transport. WiFi is bad.

Very friendly hosts and clean apartments.
Amazing terrace with far view.
Place to work in the main room with good WiFi.
Showers were cold (I was here in March).

Good location, very good service, clean room. The owner was very helpful and friendly.
it was a little cold in the night - a heater would have been nice

The rooms are nice and the beds and blankets are very comfortable. Also for some rooms the shower is great.
The dinner wasn't really satisfying, there's no heating in the rooms and in some rooms the toilet needs to be flushed manually with a bucket.

Really enjoyed staying here. A really nice building and my room was perfect, couldn't have asked for more. The family are really nice and welcoming and the breakfast was great. A beautiful walk to Ait Benhaddou (or you can easily grab a share taxi going along the road) there is also another kasbah in the village further up. This place is surrounded by beautiful mountains, I hope to come back to explore more.

Typical Kasbah accommodation for the region. The owner was very helpful and kind. Unfortunately, he was ill when I went there so I wish him all the best. Breakfast meal included with is not bad according to local standards, dinner offered as well at a good price.
Safe parking inside in the courtyard. Overall is a good value for money, you can’t ask for more. It’s not very luxury but it’s typical Berber. Excellent for an authentic experience , if you are looking for western standard go elsewhere.
The bathrooms could do with a refurbishment. They are really basic and cleanliness is not great.Location is not really in Ait Ben Haddou, it’s in the next village but if you have a car it’s really easy to get around.

I really enjoyed my stay in the beautiful Kasbah. So much things to see in the surrounding area
(Ksar, the valley...). The photos of the Kasbah are accurate, and the terasse offers you a beautiful view.
The host was really talkative and helpful (thank you again Majid).
I recommend it ! 👌

The host was very welcoming and helpful. He build the guest house himself and was very proud to show us every part of it. We arrived late in the evening and him and his wife made a delicious Tajine and couscous for us. The breakfast was delicious as well. The room and bedroom were tidy and clean! The location was very close to Aït Ben Haddou, 5 min drive and/or 20 min walk.

Much better than an impersonal hotel. It’s very much like staying with a family in their home. Majid and his family are very slicing, generous and kind. The food is excellent: they should offer cookery holidays, teaching how to cook traditional Moroccan food.
The location is excellent, close to Ksat Ait Ben Haddou but quieter.

We had a friendly welcome, the rooms were clean and more blankets were provided too as it had turned chilly. Secure parking too.

The room was nice, Majid was helpful and let us use the kitchen
It's a 3km walk through the dark desert to Ait Ben Haddou. Not a good idea after nightfall...
Breakfast was very simple.

Very kind host, he is very helpful. It is great to have a garage parking for the car. We stayed only one night in our route. Super close to the Unesco site Ait Benhaddou.
We ate for dinner a couscous ordered in advance, it was correct.
Bed make a lot of noise, so it was not pleasant every time we moved.
3.0 / 10.0
On the plus side ttt the E bed was comfortable and the sheets clean. The WiFi was also good.
There is no soul to this property. No comfortable outside or inside space and if you don’t have a car it’s a 7 km walk to Ait Benhaddou and back. In one month travelling around Morocco this is the only bad review I’ve had to give. Breakfast was especially poor when compared to other, less expensive places. Just coffee, butter, jam and stale bread. if you come to Ait Benhaddou, and you must, there will be many better options.
