We would love to have you visit our secluded riverfront home in the heart of Mount Washington Valley. “Lost on the River” is a slice of heaven on the east branch of the Saco River. Situated on the end of a private road less than 10 minutes to North Conway, this is a wonderful “out of the way location, close to everything” in the middle of all the White Mountains have to offer – hiking, golf, Storyland, outlet shopping, skiing, snowmobiling, fly fishing or taking a refreshing dip in the river in front our house. This area is also home to some of the best motorcycle riding in all of New England.
Our cabin is perfect for couples and small families who enjoy the tranquility of a remote riverfront location yet appreciate the amenities of a fully functional house. It is clean and comfortable with many ‘little extras” – fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, HDTV, DVD, Free WiFi, free telephone, stereo, gas grill, as well as a riverfront fire pit.
Your dog is welcome with prior approval and an additional $15/night pet fee.
Summer and Fall: Start off your day with breakfast on the front porch overlooking the riverfront, pack a lunch and hike around nearby Mountain pond, come back and relax by the fire pit on the river, and then fall to sleep with the sound of the river outside your bedroom window…..

This was our second time staying here, and it did not disappoint! Such a wonderful location to unwind and unplug. Hosts are fantastic! Our family spent hours playing and exploring the river.

We had a great time and the cabin was perfect for our family! The kids loved going down to the river after busy days with so much to do in the area!

We wanted a nice and quiet family vacation to unwind and enjoy nature. The house was perfect for that. The only sounds you heard was the water on the river which was peaceful. We enjoyed just relaxing on the river and visiting nature attractions nearby. We had movie and game nights. The weather was a hotter than we expected but the house eventually cooled down through the evening thanks to the breeze from the river. The owners were helpful giving good suggestions for places to go and was always available for any questions we had. We hope to return in the Fall for another stay. If you want a nice and peaceful getaway look no further.

We had an amazing time at Lost on the River. The house is so cozy and has everything you could need. The house stayed nice and cool even on hot days. The kitchen was equipped with utensils and cookware. The fire pit next to the river, steps from the house, is where we spent most of our time. We bought a couple of floats and had a blast floating down the river. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed and comfortable. We can’t wait to stay at Lost on the river again.

Very peaceful get away. Listening to the river while relaxing on the porch rockers. Couldn’t have asked for better weather.

The river is stunning and being on your own out there is like nothing else! The cabin was a bit stuffy when we got there but aired out well. The amenities were great! The hosts were very kind and had bug spray, toothpaste, etc available just in case you’d forgotten. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at this amazing retreat and we couldn't be more thrilled, again. The location and cabin are absolutely prefect. We love that cabin is secluded, but close enough to everything we wanted to do. Our children spent nearly every hour we were at the cabin playing in the river and exploring. Just like our last stay, before we even left the driveway to leave they asked when we get to come back. We are so grateful for the life-long memories we have made at this little slice of heaven!

The property was clean and cozy. Communication with the owner was quick when we had a question. The vacation was so relaxing. All we heard all week was the sound of the river. It was wonderful. Highly recommend!!

Ideal location for privacy and convenience. Brenda the owner was easy to reach and communicated quickly. The cabin was spotless clean when we arrived. One of the best spots for a fire pit right on the river. Will be looking to stay again next time I visit the Bartlett/ North Conway area.

perfect little place, close to Jackson and North Conway, but far enough down the back roads that it feels secluded. It is a great cabin with a perfect fireplace and located right on the river. Its dated, but clean and comfortable. It was just what I wanted in a getaway. Would hightly recommend.

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay at “Lost in the River.” Our pup loved the walks along the river front location Accommodations were very comfortable for a family of four. It had everything we needed in the kitchen along with plenty of games for the kids. We skied Attitash and Wildcat and enjoyed the local restaurants that were close by. We’d stay again in a second.

We returned to this gem after staying for the first time last Feb, 2023 and we will be back again...and again...and again. This beautiful cabin is so cozy and fully stocked; and in a beautiful location by the river. Also, it is kept so clean which is very important to us. See ya next year!!

My family of four (along with our 2 pups), stayed at this amazing cabin. I have been traveling to NH for 10+ years and this is by far one of the best (if not best) locations I have ever stayed at. If you are looking for a true escape, immersed in nature, look no further! This cozy cabin is completely private and on a beautiful river. The pups (and kids) loved the beautiful path right outside the house for walks. We loved it so much, we booked it for the summer to enjoy the river. Thank you to the amazing hosts for a wonderful stay and excellent communication!

This was my second stay at this property and look forward to booking another stay here soon! Very cozy cabin with everything you need at hand. I brought my parents and their MinPin and they absolutely enjoyed every minute. Went for walks with the dog along the river every day and enjoyed sitting by the river edge just listening to the water flowing. We used the fireplace on a couple cool nights and just enjoyed relaxing after taking some trips. Owners are very pleasant to deal with and keep in contact with you. Great place in a great location! Can’t wait to go back!!!

What a wonderful spot. Loved everything about the house. Peaceful, relaxing and location was wonderful. My husband's smile was worth every cent. My dog didn't want to leave the river. Owner's were great and made sure we were comfortable. Already thinking about our next trip. Thank you.

We had a great time. Cabin is in a perfect location. On the end of a dead end lane with the river right across the road and a trail head at the end of the driveway. Very private but close to N Conway.

This was our second time at this property and will be our last. The first time was great, we enjoyed the fire pit, deck, and cabin. It was cold out so we needed the heat on. We returned at the beginning of September during 80 degree weather, with humidity in the 90s. We were shocked that they don’t have air conditioning. So sleeping was not comfortable at all. Only 2 windows could be opened due to multiple spiders nests. My dog was panting during most of the stay.
We then lost power during a thunderstorm for a few hours around 11pm. We had no cell service or running water. We followed the emergency instructions telling us to plug in the corded phone so that we could report the power outage, but we did not get a dial tone. The power fortunately came back on by itself.
Also, you have to pay an additional $75 for towels and sheets. And if you use the blankets, you are expected to wash them.
Like I said, this was our second time at the property, and the only “improvements” made were adding a few chairs. (Try adding some lights surrounding the house so people can see).
We contacted the owners about our discomfort during the stay and were told “I’m sorry”. Well I’m sorry that we spent that much money to sweat for 4 days.

Absolutely loved our third visit to this secluded cabin retreat. The area had got a lot of rain recently so the river right beside the house was majestic. Beautiful trails around the area and a great place to fully enjoy the white mountains. Would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

We absolutely loved our stay! The cabin is even more charming than the pictures would suggest. It was perfect for our kids (ages 6 and 7) to explore the property/river with our dog, and was also an excellent jumping off point for all the area has to offer. It was spotless on arrival and had all the amenities we needed.

Situated right on a gorgeous rushing river, I spent hours taking in the scenery and relaxing to the sound of the flowing water. Fire pit by the river added to the terrific ambience

Loved being right on the river! Appreciated that they supply all the basics in the kitchen, and even wood for campfires.

Weather was either cloudy or showers during our stay but we still had a great time. Cabin was very clean and as seen in the pictures. The bed was really comfy. The circular driveway from the road to the back door made it easy to unpack and pack up the truck. Great location close to trails, Diana's Baths, Cathedral Ledge, Echo Lake State Park, restaurants-Flatbread Company and Moat Mountain Smokehouse were both delicious. Our golden retriever didn't want to leave. We had to promise her we would be back again to play in the river all day...

Just as wonderful as our previous visits. The cabin is smack dab in the middle of everything yet you feel like you’re the only people on earth.
We love opening the windows at night to fall asleep to the sound of the river. It’s a comfortable and relaxing place. Great hosts too :)

First time back to NH in awhile. Felt really fortunate to find Brenda and Damons place in the woods on a running stream in the White Mountains and North Conway area. The property has a real "at home" feel. We really enjoyed our stay. 2 thumbs up!

This house is an amazing peaceful get away. It’s very secluded and quite. Listening to the river at night is relaxing. The porch is where we spent most mornings for coffee and evenings on the rockers before heading to start a fire. Defiantly will be back! Thanks to the great owners for east communication and making us feel relaxed.

Very quiet cabin on the Saco River. The manager was very helpful. Only drawback were the mosquitoes.
