About this house rental
Come unwind at our beautiful waterfront home, located in the Texas Hill Country on 25 acres. Not only do we offer privacy, but the relaxation and comfort that you, your family and friends deserve. Along with breathtaking lake views, from nearly every room in the home, we offer fishing in our fully stocked pond, basketball, washer boards, childrens swing set, lake chairs and canopy and even a porch swing for you to relax in. We have pet goats and donkeys that the children can feed. We pride ourselves in being a "Family Friendly" property. For those interested in Texas style "Bar-B-Q", we have a large custom built-in smoker, a covered outdoor kitchen and an oversized fire pit (with wood provided).
Should you choose to venture off of the property, you are within minutes of floating the Guadalupe river, attending an amazing concert at "Whitewater" or visiting historic "Gruene Hall", touring the Canyon Lake Gorge, spending the day at Schlitterbahn Water Park, Sea World or Six Flags San Antonio. There are many area boutiques, antique shops and even the San Marcos Outlet Mall. If you are a 'wine connoisseur'', enjoy one of the many area wineries which are only a short drive away.

Update: We do have an outdoor security camera located on the upper deck facing the
main entrance into the home. This will be turned off during your stay.
For an additional fee, we will allow small intimate weddings. The maximum number of additional day guests allowed is 40. The fee is $550.00 with a $1500.00 refundable security deposit. This fee will be to rent the outside grounds only and will not be part of the home rental. Please contact Jill for additional information.

We had the best stay at Jill’s property. The house and lake was beautiful! We enjoyed paddle boarding on the lake, running, biking, and walking the trails, and feeding the goats! Jill was wonderful and checked in on us, but also gave us our space. The whole family really enjoyed this vacation and we will definitely be back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the house very comfortable. It was well stocked and very clean. The owner made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions before and during our stay. Our three year old loved exploring the lake, feeding the goats, and playing on the playset. It exceeded our expectations and is the best VRBO experience we have experienced. We will definitely be back!

My family and I visited El Rancho Regenia over
Texas spring break, and we had the best stay! The house itself was exceptional-- it was very clean, well stocked with items (kitchen, bathrooms), comfortable beds/pillows, baby items (PNP, highchair, etc), quiet, and inviting. The grounds are so unique! Situated directly on Canyon Lake, the breeze was constant, cool, and well received! My boys (6&4) had blast catching brim in the well-stocked, clean, pond as well as searching for turtles. Jill left us carrots to feed the donkeys as well as items for s'mores-- which we all loved!
The location was excellent for day trips out into the hill country. We explored Canyon City/the trails around the dam, and South Trail on the Guadalupe. We visited Gruene and Wimberly, as well as Natural Bridge Cavern. Highly recommend visiting the caves!
We will be back in the future and recommend for families of all ages! Thanks, Jill!

We had a lovely time at Rancho Regenia. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Everything was so clean and organized. The kitchen had every tool and appliance we could possibly need, and there was plenty of fun for everyone in our group… volleyball, fishing, the playset, the animals. Jill is a very caring and responsive host. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We definitely would go back!

This is an amazing home that is exactly as advertised. We love it so much this was a return visit for our family. We had a much needed extended Memorial Day vacation for our busy family of six.

This property is beautiful and you’d be hard pressed to find one better! We had 8 people in our group—4 adults and 4 kids. There’s plenty to do for everyone: kayaking at the lake, fishing the pond, feeding the goats, playing at the playground, playing basketball, watching the deer, cooking on the smoker in the outdoor kitchen, having some drinks and making s’mores around the fire pit and enjoying the lake view while eating dinner on the deck. The host was great and stayed in touch to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommended!

Lovely home with farm animals on the grounds and access to Canyon Lake. We had a wonderful family reunion. The stairs to the lower level were a little dangerous for grandparents with joint issues, so they stayed on the main level (kids 3+ did not have problems with stairs). Wonderful porch with great views of the sunset and wild deer.

Stop searching - this is the place!
While part of me doesn't want the word to get out...I'd like to keep this place all to myself...I had to review this amazing property! Very few places offer such an amazing experience. The 25 acres includes a fishing pond, kids play area, basketball hoop, swimming area, animals to feed and pet and so many deer! We had 5 adults and 5 kids stay for four nights at El Rancho Reginia. The adults loved hanging out on the upper deck on the porch swing watching the wildlife and enjoying coffee or cocktails. The kids played...well...all over. Ranging in ages from 4-9, I felt very safe letting them run and roam on this private property. They walked down to feed the animals and play on the play equipment and had space to just be kids. Translation - not one of them asked for electronics for four days. Win!
While the property is one of a kind, the service is incredible. I very much appreciate attention to detail and Jill clearly makes this her mission. From the moment I walked in and saw the fresh flowers in the kitchen and heard music playing softly throughout the house...I knew I made the right choice. (Also...the house smelled amazing...just a side note!) Everything is impeccably clean, sheets and beds were amazing and the house has several living areas that allowed for families to spread out.
I can't say enough good things about this property and the owner. Thank you Jill for opening your home and property to us and to other families. This is an experience we would not have had otherwise and we can't thank you enough.

The property was fabulous. Clean and every amenity you could think of was addressed perfectly. The property had everything to keep young children entertained from feeding goats to fishing in the pond, going to the lake and much more.
The view from the deck is incredible. The owner was delightful and made it so welcoming upon on arrival. Definitely a treasure and will be back again.

Fantastic vacation spot!
El Rancho was truly one of the best places we have ever stayed in. It is a huge and beautiful house located on a beautiful property with one of the best lake views I have ever seen. Sitting on the porch swing or eating in the family size table on the deck every day refilled our minds and spirits. The kids loved running around the area, feeding the goats and donkeys, watching the geese and chickens, and swimming in the lake. I had thought we would have a good time but we ended up with one of the best travel experiences of our lives. Jill was a truly gracious and generous host, always available to answer any question, and there to lend a helping hand with anything we needed. We were so glad to meet her. The outside kitchen is Incredible! This spot allowed my family to have peaceful moments along with fun adventures, truly one of the best vacations we have ever taken. We will certainly be back.

Wonderful lake vacation home
My husband and I and our 2 teenagers who each brought a friend (so total of 6) had a wonderful time at this vacation home and property. The views were beautiful. The home also has close proximity to a large grocery store (Brookshire Brothers) and the Canyon Lake Marina. It was also an easy and scenic drive to Wimberley and New Braunfels for restaurants, tubing and shopping. Jill was a very attentive hostess. Thank you again for a lovely time!

We stayed for a long weekend with family ages 1-73 and everyone had a wonderful time. Jill was an exceptional host. The property was way better than the pictures. There was so many activities to do right on the property. Only thing we didn’t like was leaving.

Incredible Property and Host
This is the 2nd time we stayed here and it does not disappoint. Our family loves this home and the property on the lake. Jill is a great host always being available. She even brought us a delicious cake. Highly recommend staying here - very clean and homey.

Wonderful Stay!
The propery was absolutely gorgeous. We were able to sit right by the lake and relax. We would drive our car right down to the edge of the property, then a short walk away is the waters edge. The house was beautiful and the owners did a great job adding special touches to make it feel extra special. The house was very well cleaned and the owner was very nice. We explored around the property and our little one had a great time petting the animals. We loved it here!
