Based on the reviews I knew to take some cleaning supplies. This issue hasn’t been resolved. Beddings were old and the sheets seemed as were made of plastic. Kitchen cookware was very old and rusty. They were not safe to cook with. Thankfully we took a pan we used for our meals. Refrigerator seems to have a leak. On the bright side home was large enough to accommodate us and plenty of rooms.

Being next to pond with Beautiful views was amazing! Family & Friends had a great time. 40 drive to resort was there for 2 days. House is big enough for everyone! House is from 1980’s with a lot of original appliances and features. House does need repairs and maintenance to complete better Functionality. Nathan

The place is huge!!! Overall we enjoyed the space and where its located. All the rooms has king size bed which was amazing and comfortable. The bedrooms where huge lots and lots of room for everyone. The game room space is great for big family like ours! Our kids enjoyed hanging out in there. The kitchen was big and having two stove and two microwave was a plus! But it was not as clean as I prefer it should be. There was a lot of dust on the window seal, spider web on the lamps, the shower curtain has a mildew smell, cutting board needs to be thrown away. Booth oven was dirty. The shaggy carpet was really old, even when its brown you can tell its dirty, and torn on some places. The green leather couch in the living room and the brown couch by the dining room are torn and when you sit on it, it will sink you to almost the floor. Our family enjoyed it but it really needs a good deep clean and furnitures needs to be updated.

Pond view was just what we were looking for. A somewhat private setting, enough bedrooms for 5 couples, and would allow pets. The house was set up for a big crowd two day stay. Only negative was we had to be out of the house by 10:00, not enough time to get 10 people fed , cleaned up, packed and out the door iso early in the morning. We met the housekeepers at 10:00 by our cars as we were driving out.

The home is charming and spacious. The game room was the perfect hangout spot! The deck was great and we had an amazing view, we were lucky enough to spot a few deers. The home was clean and stocked with necessities. I will book again in the future!

The cozy cabin came with everything we needed and more! The Ballards are very thoughtful and considerate whether it just be a single family stay or multiple families there was room and activities for everyone! The drive up here was not bad at all The views are amazing all around this spacious cabin, Thanks so much for opening up your home to us we will definitely be staying again!

Do not waste your money.
This house was absolutely disgusting. Filthy. Everything was covered in dust, it was very apparent nobody had cleaned prior to our arrival and it didn’t look like anyone had been in the house in a month or two. Cobwebs covered every ceiling beem in the living room, dust on every piece of decor, dead flies in every window, nasty old dingy curtains that would have needed another panel to even come close to actually covering the window. Half of the largest window wasn’t covered at all. Two of the rooms blinds were broken so they also weren’t covered by anything. The shower curtain was absolutely disgusting. The beds are rock hard. The utensils are old are nasty (and very limited) They had no pans and everything they did have was scarce. No ac and only 2 tiny fans. It was hot. The carpet was so disgusting you could tell it had not been vacuumed and it was so musty the entire first night even with the doors and windows all open. The entire family left sneezing from all the dust. The main attraction which is the game room and bar had nowhere to keep drinks cold upstairs which sucked, the pool table was uneven, the ping pong table was barely hanging on and uneven. Basically i have no idea how they get away with the price of this. Even with the space it is so nasty and unkept it’s nowhere near worth it. It’s a shame the owners let that beauty fall apart it had great potential but would need gutted and redone to be worth a bleep if you ask me. My family rents a cabin every year and we’ve been going to this area for 50 years and 4 generations. We will never go back to that place, that’s for sure. Huge disappointment.

Great no frills cabin
We absolutely loved this cabin and would consider renting again, as long as the weather is cool enough. There is no AC. We knew this going in and brought 6 fans with us. The hottest day was 95, we put box fans in the windows, facing outwards and it helped a lot. There were a lot of cups, plates, silverware, pots and pans, but only 1 cutting board, 1 measuring cup, 1 cookie sheet and all the knives were dull. I would suggest bringing a knife sharpener and cutting board with you. There were a few left over spices in the cabinets, but definitely bring anything you need if you are picky. We were given only 1 travel soap for hand dishes, 3 pods for the dishwasher, 3 pods for laundry, travel size shower toiletries, and 6 rolls of TP for 9 people 7 days. We were told they "start you off" but everything else is on you. I wish I had known ahead of time. We ended up spending over $100 at the local market instead of bringing them with us. No biggie, but I wish I knew ahead of time. There were ample towels, blankets and bedding for a large group. Wifi is the slowest wifi ever! 2 people in our group had to leave early because they could not work on the wifi provided. the TV is a smart TV, so we were able to log in and watch all of our subscription channels which was awesome! I also loved that I didn't have to clean the house before we left. Most places require about an hour of stripping beds and sweeping, etc. This check out was a breeze!
Notes to Vacasa on things that need to be attended to:
* The toaster doesn't work at all
* The screen on the kitchen window needs re-done. A yellow jacket was in our cabin before we realized this.
* The fridge was leaking water even though we never touched the thermostat. It wasn't a lot, but you may want to look into it.
* The side table in the downstairs bedroom is broken. The bracket is completely hanging off the wall
* The side table in the upstairs bedroom to the right of the stairs has a broken side table with a sharp edge
* That same upstairs bedroom has broken vinyl blinds that are on the floor
* The dining room table needs a lock on it. The table with the leaf in separates and a few times pinched people sitting at the table.
* The sliding door in the game room only opens about a foot and then gets stuck
* The game room TV doesn't work even after we replaced the batteries in the remote
* The ping pong table is not able to be played on. the net is broken and the paint is lifting bad

Great getaway
This home was tucked away in a peaceful area near Shaver Lake. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out, play games, and have a short drive to the lake. Everything was clean and convenient for our vacation.

Very Outdated!
The place was okay. My family and I definitely got haunted vibes from this cabin. It was super hard to sleep and everything is antique. The tv in the game room works for 5 minutes before it turns off and there is no AC which was a huge dealbreaker. The view is nice but needs major updates and upgrades!

Family Summer Trip
Me and my family had a blast!!!! This was our second time getting this cabin. The cabin is well stocked as far as pots and pans for cooking even seasoning if you happen to forget them at home. There wasn't a Barbecuer but the nice guy in the little ranger brought us one! He was super nice. As far as anything negative I would have to say I wish there were fans in all the rooms. It was hot and musty inside. The game rooms was a plus however its super hot up there. Couldn't really enjoy it like we would have liked too. Mosquitos are bad when sitting outside in the evening. The garbage disposal wasn't working but husband fixed it. Over all it was fun!

Great location
This cabin is awesome. Great location. Large. The pool room is awesome. Only downfalls was it isn't very well stocked. One example is we only had 3 forks. Considering they make you check in later then usual and check out earlier to "deep clean" it wasn't very clean either. Either way, we had a blast and look forward to coming back!

Nice, fun, relaxing cabin!
My kids, husband, mom, brother and I had a great time at the Pond View Lodge cabin! The beds were very comfortable and all the appliances worked well. We all had a lot of fun in the game room upstairs. We watched movies, while played ping pong and pool. The view of the pond, from our deck was very pretty. The kids tried catching frogs with the fishing net, that was provided for guests, at the cabin. The only thing we needed more of at the cabin were forks. I believe there were only four forks. Other than that, the cabin was well stocked. We will definitely make plans to stay again, in the near future. Thank you. We had a wonderful, fun, peaceful time at your cabin!

Used and Abused
Great area but this property is not maintained at the level as the surrounding neighborhood. Rent is in line with the area but not this property. Clearness suffered as well with kitchen counters and floor sticky and dirty. One stand out is a great poll table. In spit of some reviews, parking is more than sufficient. This might support one neighbor calling the place a "frat house". Garage apparently where garbage is stored. Two full containers left from previous rentals or cleaning services. The smell got riper daily. We were there 10 days and had the carry out trash to town.

Bad experience this time
I’m sorry to say this was the 2nd time staying at this cabin and it was not clean. The grounds were dirty and the inside was hardly clean. Vacasa mentions they are taking extra time to clean, but that was far from true here. If I was looking for a pet friendly cabin I would not recommend. Carpets are filthy and needs updating.

We loved staying here with the kids. The pond and house are a great place for their imaginations. The house itself needs maintenance; if you’re looking for fancy this is not the place for you. But it was peaceful, the space was comfortable, and it was very clean. It was only 10 min from the lake. For the price I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

This home has large bedrooms and is very family friendly. Great location in Sierra Cedars looking right out at the pond. This is our second time at this cabin and would definitely come back again next year. No wine glasses for the adults but hey, we managed!

Beautiful Pond setting
Great check in but walked into horrible smell of 6 bags of trash in garage. Started dinner & found out that 1 stove didnt get repaired/replaced as I wa s told it would be in APRIL when we reserved. Upstairs shower door sticks so bad so hard to open that my 8 & 11 yr old couldnt get out of it wo help. Bottom floor toilet so short my mom had to have help off it. No kitchen towels and for a 5 bedroom house to have 8 towels is unacceptable, should have been told this so we could have brought some and a table on the big porch would be nice as was shown in pictures. My family has rented this house MANY times and not had problems...and the huge kitchen with 2 stoves is a huge draw for us. VERY disappointed this time tho they came and got the nasty trash out within the hour. Was promised a refund on the amenities lost due to stove not working but we will see. Sorry to be a negitive nancy but wanted to be honest on review...had someone said this we would have prob passed on it

Peaceful getaway
This was a great spacious property. Loved that it was at the end of the street so you had a little more privacy looking out on the deck with the beautiful pond view. Besides just a little bit of hiccups for example we were never emailed the code to the lock box with key in it so had to call and get it. The cabin is a little out dated and one of the microwaves had tape on it. The game room was perfect and rooms were very spacious. Make sure to take toiletries cause there was only one roll in each restroom. I would suggest better check out instructions posted. For example I had to call again to make sure what to do with trash and linens. All trash was to be left in garage and linens left as is. The only thing they wanted was to make sure AC/heating unit was left at 55*. BTW I would change the filter to the AC cause poor thing sounded like is was working double time. Overall our family had a great time and enjoyed your property. Definitely be coming back. Thank you.

Winter wonderland at Shaver Lake
We’ve been going to Shaver Lake for years and I think this is the most snow we’ve seen there. All fresh snow. The cabin was great for our family. Very casual, retro style. The kitchen could use some upgrades (stove) but no real problem. We hope to come back in the summer. Thank you owners for sharing your cabin.

Best weekend getaway
A really nice home for the weekend was there for a four-day weekend despite one of the stoves not working it worked out because they had 2 of them they provided wood for the fireplaces which was nice we didn't have to go down in the snowy weather to get any they had everything we needed it was a little outdated but really comfortable and a great size for a big family the cable wasn't great but that's expected in the snow storm we were in would definitely book this place again the rooms were very spacious and despite the restroom not working downstairs we still had a complete restroom upstairs which was fine.

Rude-neighbors
We had 5 adults, 5 kids 5 cars and we got a complaint about having a party because someone parked in the road. But there was not enough room for all 5 cars. 1 manager called and threatened to kick us out for having a party.
Um.. we had 5 children there... then another manager called and politely asked us to move the one car.
The threatening phone call was un called for. We were able to squeeze all the cars in. It wasn’t a huge deal. They said were were only allowed to have 3 cars?? I’m 5 guest coming from 5 locations... duh..
Power went out, nice to have the fireplaces, kept us warm in 30 degree weather. There was firewood there but we also brought 5 boxes to use.
The management company literally left us 3 dishwashing pods... but then asked us to start the dishwasher before we left. We stayed fri-Monday- that would need at least 4 pods. One tiny tiny tiny dishwashing soap bottle about an inch tall. I though that was really really cheap of them. I had to go by more soap and pods do do the dishes. Microwave had duck tape on it and a few items in house were damaged but that didn’t bother me. Oh and the TV is old and has a crappy picture. I think they need an upgrade on that, downstairs tv. I don’t watch tv but some people really enjoy it.
Overall we had a good time. I don’t sweat the small stuff too much.

Stayed here with my family and kids! Home is spacious and lots of room! Kids like bed the game room! Us adults loved the large living room! We enjoyed the snow surrounding the cabin! Markets and eateries in shaver are a 5 min drive away! Perfect location! Would highly recommend this home!

Great Cabin, clean, lots of rooms, wood fireplace (wood provided by owners) everything great exept the stupid keyless entry lock that kept us outside in the cold until Vacasa found another way to get us inside. Overall great cabin, I will look for it again next year.

Large space, great location with the open area and pond behind the house. Pool table and ping pong a definite plus. Ping pong table was extremely worn but usable. Large bedrooms were good as was the large kitchen. WiFi was good and we depended on it for our video entertainment. Fit our family of 9 and the dogs. However, the house is worn, from the carport to the furniture to the appliances. There was no cable - brought our own Fire tv to get anything besides antennae feed with 9 stations. TV had to be turned on manually. We were only able to get one of the DVD players working. A good experience and fun by all.

Very clean, lovely views at end of cul de sac.
4th time we have stayed at this property. Has been recently deep cleaned and new curtains, bedspreads and sofa. Perfect for a group of up to 10-12. Will stay here again.
