We really enjoyed this house, it felt as though we were outside without the heat and bugs! The house had everything we needed and more.
This house was not super livable, meaning there are not a lot of surfaces to place things (think no place for glasses near beds). This house is also very dark, all the lighting in the house is an odd color or dark besides the bathroom. We arrived and left in the dark which was hard because there was no outside lighting. This house is unlike any other house I’ve ever stayed in, we loved how outside and inside were brought together.

The glass house was an ideal location for our family's retreat. We picked up groceries before coming into the Three Rivers area but the house was fully stocked with housewares and even spices that made it so easy to relax at home. We loved the nearby sounds of the river and overall comfort of the place. We will be coming back!

The photographs of this beautiful and unusual property are accurate. The mid-century high style of its furnishings are matched by their comfort and functionality. Kitchen was fun to cook in -- excellent appliances, utensils, pots/pans + a clever solution to limited work space.
Bed very comfortable with a lovely view of the nearly full moon.
Keep the windows open and you'll fall asleep to crickets & the sound of gently rushing water (not visible from the house.)
Bathroom spotless and spacious with high-end products.
Exterior lovely, too. Old-growth trees, outdoor fireplace where we made s'mores (this is a requirement ;-) And birds galore -- quail, bluejays, wild turkeys, woodpeckers. Home is in the path of two deer that we saw every day from the comfort of the quilted hammock hanging from giant sycamores (I think.)
Definitely a keeper.

Stayed here for two nights and really loved it. Honestly, the first night we were all a little uneasy sleeping with all glass windows and no privacy...we're city people so it was weird and we always felt like someone would be watching us :) But after the first night that feeling went away. Love that there's no cell or internet! The house is fully equipped with everything you could need to cook and hang outside or inside. Great book and magazine collection. And special thanks to the property manager who went over and above to help us with a key situation when we were checking out. Highly recommend!

Everything was great, place was clean, beautiful and had everything we needed. No one cared that there was no WiFi or cell service, as there was so much to do. The projector was great for movie nights, they have a great selection of DVDs but bring your own if you prefer. The property manager was great as well and check out was easier than most VRBOs I’ve stayed at.

The Hubs & I stayed a week & loved our time at the house & in the beautiful area. If you are a bird watcher this house is wonderful! Many species of birds, one doe & some rabbits. The house was spic and span, very comfortable. Beds were great! Other reviews mentioned ant trouble, but we never saw any. Kitchen stocked w plenty of cookware & dishes, plus spices, coffee, filters, etc. I could easily have spent the entire week at the house with coffee & a book and been perfectly content. If we return I would love to stay there again!

We will definitely stay at The Glass House again. It was exquisite! The property was gorgeous! The house made the whole experience so much better with the floor to ceiling windows 360 degrees around the house. It was breathtaking to have a view of the insanely beautiful property from everywhere in the house. My kids loved the trampoline and the fire pit and going on nature walks. The projector was an awesome feature! Sheila and the property management company were amazing and always replied back to emails and phone calls super fast. I almost dont want to give this house five stars because I don’t want more people staying here and the word to get out so it’s booked the next time we want to come ha ha. My only recommendation is if you are traveling here with kids- bring a couple folding chairs so you can watch your kiddos on the trampoline or any of the other fun places to play on the property. The property is huge! I really don’t have enough amazing things to say about this stay. Can’t wait to come back!!

Hands down the best VRBO/air bnb I’ve ever stayed at. The house itself was so cozy and neat. You can’t beat the views from inside or while outside on the property. Our pups romped around to their hearts content while we took in the amazing 360° views. The glass house was truely calming from the normal busy life. We didn’t miss reception with all the amenities provided. We enjoyed being so close to Seqouia National park. Can’t wait to come back!

Had the most relaxing weekend here with my family. It's the perfect escape from the city and the house is unreal! Had a chance to unplug and spend quality time together.. the house is very well kept and clean. Between the board games, ping pong table, movies, music, and the river, there is so much entertainment you won't even miss your phone!

2018 review: If you can't live without wifi or cell service, stop looking now and find a different place.
Everyone else, my partner and I just returned from our third visit to this magical property and it was our most restorative, creatively inspiring and delightful trip yet. My boo gives me death glares any time I mention this place to friends because (a) we want to have a shot at booking it and (b) it has come to feel like our own home (without having to deal with window washing!)
This year we brought our one year-old puppy along and I've never seen him so happy. For those taking pets, the large surrounding property is fenced on the road side, bounded by the river in back (not a worry for us as he's not a big swimmer -- rocky and occasionally fast rapids if yours is). He ran and ran and I think will spend the time until our next visit scheming ways to become a country dog.
Lots of kitchen amenities, the coziest couch and rug and warm heated floors made this a perfect wintertime retreat. Note that if you're going into Sequoia National Park you want to gas up in town. Honestly though, this quiet retreat is a destination in and of itself.
