About this house rental
***Property Overview***
Welcome to Kai Vista, a recently-remodeled 4-bedroom/4-bath villa perched on an elevated ridge in Rum Point with a private pool and heated spa.
Grab your nice shades and head down to the beachfront sundeck lined with comfortable sun beds to work on your tan. Then, cool off with a dip in the oceanfront infinity pool. As the sun sets, slide into the heated spa and watch the skies turn pink as your troubles effortlessly melt away.
Inside, scenic ocean views are captured through 30 feet of sliding glass walls that open and fill the villa with island breezes and natural light. An enormous open-concept living area has two separate seating areas with sectional sofas, a large HD television with Apple TV for streaming, and a soundbar.
A fully-renovated kitchen includes new appliances, granite countertops, and a wet bar with a separate ice maker. A propane grill on the side of the house is available for cookouts, next to a thatched cabana for the cooks to stay out of the sun!
The homeowners have embraced an eco-friendly approach to recent renovations including upgrading the home's insulation, converting all lighting to warm LED fixtures, installing a high-efficiency air conditioning system, and installing a solar-powered water heating system.
For remote workers, a high-speed fiber internet connection has been wired to the property. Multiple users and devices can connect online with reliable speeds and increased bandwidth.

***Beach Notes***
All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically public since the Queen owns up to the high watermark. Be advised, the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images displayed due to weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.
***Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed***
Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival.
Should sargassum be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.

Beautiful property right on the beach. There is enough comfortable outdoor seating for at least 20 people. Both a living room and a family room wit cable TV. Plenty of nice glassware and dishes. We very much enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Incredible home - what a view!
We had an amazing stay at Kai Villa. The home is amazing and has all the amenities you will need. Steps from the beach and beautiful views. The villa managers were fantastic and everything was so easy. We’ve stayed at several homes through VRBO and this one is the best by far. You will definitely I rent need to rent a car and order groceries ahead.

Amazing property
My husband and I stayed here with our boy/girl twin 9 year olds, my mother and sister in-law, and 17 year old nephew. We loved every minute here! We walked in and couldn’t believe the amazing view. Everything is in great condition. Kitchen is very large and ample space for all, indoors and out.
Two helpful tips: Be sure to double check the clothes washer 5 mins after starting. We started it twice and found that for whatever reason it didn’t always start as expected. Not a big deal(and could very well have been our error), just something to be mindful of. Second tip, the yellow kayaks are not the 2 kayaks included with rental. There are 2 single person kayaks included with home and these are housed under pool deck.
We snorkeled out to the reef every single day. A little rough getting in, but wearing socks solved for that pretty well(wearing socks with flippers helped prevent blisters too). We did a lot of snorkeling! Variety of marine life is incredible. We did find the current to be exceptionally strong one day, so recommend rum point on those days if snorkeling with kids.
We fished here every morning and evening, as our son is an avid little fisherman. There was one rod/reel available in garage. We didn’t use it though, as we brought everything with us from home. He caught many varieties(all catch & release).
Pool and hot tub were wonderful to relax and play. The lights in pool and hot tub were a fun touch at night. Floats/sand toys are available. No need to pack or buy. There were also several 1 piece all-in-one mask with snorkel, bikes, and other items available for use in garage.
Rum Point is a very short walk or drive. Husband and I ran every morning and enjoyed watching the crabs move off the road as we ran by. There is one small grocery store nearby for last-minute needs, Chisholms. Also, there’s a gift shop at rum point with water proof covers for phone if you happen to forget one. Came in very handy!
Recommend stingray city, bioluminescence tour, early morning trips to star fish point, and having a car to freely drive around the island. We fished all over, including multiple charters, and the kids favorite was from shore at the small fishing market in Georgetown. The men working fish market will provide bait and help to get a tarpon on the line for the kids to reel in. Was incredible to watch them reel in these beautiful monsters! We paid only $20 per child for this.
LOVE this home!

Beautiful location!
The house was beautiful with a tremendous location to enjoy the sounds of the beach and incredible views. The house itself was plenty spacious for our party of six. Only suggestion would be to upgrade the couches as they are getting a bit worn, but still adequate. All other ammentities are tremendous. They delivered a brand new hot tub while we were there. That made our week!
We had a great time and enjoyed our time on Grand Cayman and our stay at Kai Vista!

Family Vacation
We loved our time at this house that sits right on the ocean. The house is very well equipped and outdoor/ indoor space is just perfect. Great view. And, if you like snorkeling, it is amazing. The house is located in a good spot . Very quiet, secluded neighborhood. The seashore shalow and uneven, but very pleasent once you get in.
We can say only positive about the house.
Staff was really nice and accommodating.
We are hopping to visit soon.

Kai Vista did not disappoint! What a beautiful slice of paradise. The villa is beautifully appointed, beds quite comfortable, lots of spaces inside and out to split up and have some privacy from the rest of your party if you’d like. In January, it was wise to pay the extra amount to have the pool heater turned on! Unfortunately, the hot tub motor seized up right before we got there, so it was not operational, which was a disappointment. You definitely need some type of splash shoes to walk into the ocean from in front of the villa and down the beach to Rock Point, where there is a sandy beach, good swimming and a bar/restaurant. You can check out snorkel equipment at no extra charge at Silver Thatch and would recommend you do that when you stop to check in so you don’t have to make a trip back down. There are kayaks at the property, but a call to the manager’s office failed to get us the combination to unlock them and they didn’t seem to know where the paddles were. We didn’t pursue it further, but this could be made easier for the guests. I might suggest the owners list the amenities at the villa, such as: shampoo, conditioner, soap, hand lotion, and hair dryers. There is also a nice array of kitchen equipment such as a Keurig, coffee maker with filters, blender, etc. We ordered dish soap, dishwasher soap and laundry detergent, none of which we needed as they were all provided as well. Many spices such as salt & pepper were already there, which was a nice touch. You may want to bring zip lock bags, chip clips, etc so you don’t have to buy them there. A rental car is a must, although we had been to the island before and had already seen many of the attractions, we didn’t feel the need to go exploring once we got to the villa. It was so very nice to be a bit secluded, not hassle with noisy hotel guests or fight for a place at the pool or beach. We just wanted to stay at the villa and enjoy the solitude while having our own “home” to run in to, get a drink, fix lunch, and enjoy the warm weather. We also had Eddie go grocery shopping for us in advance, so we had plenty of food on hand and chose to stay and eat in most of the time. While it was expensive, it was well worth it to us! Also, Chisolm’s market is a short drive from the villa, around 5 minutes, if you need munchies, sunscreen, local fruit, or alcohol. So, all in all, it is a wonderful place and well worth the trip. Thanks to the owners for opening up their home to VRBO guest

More than wonderful
Had 4 couples sharing this home. All of us we more than impressed. The amount of amenities in the kitchen was surprising and appreciated when fixing meals. We all said we would love to go back again someday.

Paradise, would be our description. The house was perfect, plenty of room for everyone, we loved opening up the house to the breeze and sitting out by the pool relaxing, what a view, sunrise and sunset. This is definitely the side of the island to stay on if you are looking to relax. We had a great time shell hunting on the beach ever day and we spent plenty of time in the pool and hot tube. The pool is really more of an over flow pool then a continuous infinity pool but an awesome experience. We only had one minor issue and it was replaced within hours so the customer service is top notch. We would highly recommend Kai Vista, it is a trip we will never forget.

Amazing, quiet property! Great house, great pool, great view!
We had 9 people (4 adults, 5 kids) and the property worked perfectly. We spent most every day bouncing between the pool, jacuzzi, and beach. We looked the quiet, reserved and private nature of the property. So different than the hustle/bustle of staying at a hotel or resort. We also ate most every meal there. So it was great spending time with family/friends without the normal distractions that come with traveling vacations. We will definitely consider a return trip to the Kai Viasta! Definitely bring your aqua shoes. The surf is pretty rocky.

Excellent property... the house is open and breezy and the location is terrific.
The house had all the amenities you could want and the pool and hot tub were a perfect pair. It is located close enough to Rum point to walk and biking or a long walk (2 miles) to Star Fish Point, both have beautiful sandy beaches and clear water. There are plenty of restaurant options close.

The Perfect Escape
What an incredible spot! The view is beyond stunning and the home is incredibly spacious. We went for a girls weekend and had an absolute blast -- we are already planning our next trip back!

Perfect house for two families
This house exceeded our expectations! We wanted to stay in a less touristy area and Kai Vista was perfect. We rented a van that would accommodate both families from Murphy's car rental and stopped at one of the grocery stores and loaded up on breakfast and lunch stuff. Upon arrival at the house the kids were so excited as soon as they saw the infinity pool they had to put on their bathing suits and jump in. We were two families of 4 and had plenty of space in the house to never feel on top of each other. The master bedroom is downstairs which my sister and her husband stayed in. Their teenage son stayed in the other bedroom located next to the master downstairs. There are two bedrooms upstairs that each have a walkout balcony and their own bathrooms. My husband and I stayed in one of those rooms and my daughter and her cousin shared the other bedroom. My son was more than happy to sleep in the pullout couch in the upstairs hallway. I have to say the infinity pool was all our favorite thing about the house. There wasn't a day that we didn't hop in and cool off. We also took advantage of the hot tub. The kitchen had every gadget you could possibly need and they had plenty of spices left over from previous guests. Having access to the laundry room was such an added bonus. We were able to wash towels several times during our trip.
We did charter a boat for the day from Silver Thatch and had George as our Captain he was great! We hit Sting Ray City, Starfish point, and went snorkeling... George found the perfect snorkeling site and it felt like we were swimming in a fish bowl. Incredible! We made a day trip to 7 Mile Beach and hung out at The Royal Palm. *Tip if you go there on a day there are no cruise ships you can use a cabana for free! Only downside is the pool is adult only, but it didn't effect our day because the water and beach on 7 Mile is incredible and you instantly want to go into the ocean. We did eat out at a bunch of restaurants. One of the best meals I ate was at Rum Point. We also ate lunch and dinner at Kaibo, Dinner at Tukka twice. The best brunch and most affordable meal of the week was on 7 mile Beach (Coconut Joe's) also we highly recommend dinner at Casanova (Italian).
Only suggestion I would make about the house is a backyard grill would be a welcome addition.
All in all it was a perfect vacation and I hope we will be back again soon! Book Kai Vista you will not be disappointed.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
This property is absolutely amazing! Everything was on point. From the moment you enter the driveway and then enter the front door, your breath is taken away by the beauty and style. The dining room and master bed room were repainted and look awesome. The pictures online do not do it justice. The master is a lot bigger than it appears in the picture and the walk in closet...wow! My favorite was the kitchen and pool area. That is where my family of 8 adults spent the majority of our time. You will not be disappointed. The kitchen is equipped with everything you would ever need! The island is big enough for all 8 adults to eat and just hang out. We cooked everyday and 6 dinners while we were there. You will definitely need a rental car to get to the property and to do any sight seeing / grocery shopping. Even though I created a shopping list & menu, we found that we needed to go out a couple times to get a few things we ran low on. If you are planning on cooking, I suggest putting together a menu and shopping list. It saved me alot of time. After we landed at the airport, we got the rental van, stopped for lunch then at Hurley's tp do our grocery shopping for the first 4 days. Tuesday we went back out and did the rest of the week's shopping. Rum Point is within walking distance of the house. Some of the family snorkeled/floated down to Rum Point and then walked back. IT was amazing. We rented a boat and did some tubing, then went to Sting Ray City. That was so much fun! We used the two kayaks at the property and rented snorkel gear and two standup paddle boards. Tons of FUN! Thanks to Ron the property manager for stopping by and assisting us when the power went out (it was island wide, so don't worry, not the house's fault). He also helped me with receiving a package I had shipped and letting us borrow a cooler. We were very impressed with the property and level of service. There was even a wedding proposal from one of our family members while we were there. What a memorable occasion and vacation. Make sure you go out at night, we saw so many crab on the street, they reminded us of squirrels running across the street in the US. We also saw a lot of chickens, roosters and wild cats ! Thanks !! Kai Vista!!!

Beyond Expectations!
Paradise, luxury, peaceful and gorgeous views are just a few of the adjectives to describe Kai Vista! The villa has absolutely everything you could want or need in a vacation home! I have to say that the beds are very comfy and sheets and bedding are luxurious! The home has all the electronics you need and more! We were concerned about the availability of watching the Patriots game but NO worries!!! Not only did we get to watch it but it was on one of the three large screen TV's that was in the house! The kitchen is equipped with any and all appliances that you need. There are multiple dining areas, 3 of the 4 bedrooms have their own bathroom, with the 4th being right outside the bedroom. The infinity pool and hot tub were a must have and they did not disappoint. Going from snorkeling in front of the house to the pool and the hot tub was absolutely enjoyable and relaxing! The location is great! Rum Point has 2 restaurants and Red Sail sports on the premises to offer you catamaran sails to Stingray city and snorkeling and much more! Starfish beach is a 5 minute ride from the villa. Kaibo restaurant is open for lunch and Kaibo Upstairs is a 5 star restaurant that you should definitely try!! If you like Rum, they have some very exotic types to try! Also try Tukka, about a 15 minute ride to the East End. We ate on the beach and the food is excellent! If you ever have trouble (which we didn't) the management company is on call and readily available. Make sure to read the lists and advice they have on their app! It is great advice!!
We plan on renting for 2 weeks next year!

Incredible home. Luxurious and private.
We stayed for a week in December to escape the cold at home and had a fantastic time. The house exceeded expectations from the pictures (even though the pictures looked amazing) and everyone at Grand Cayman Villas was very helpful and prompt in responding to any questions we had prior to our trip. Check-in and out was simple and easy...and all the recommendations and checklists provided ahead of time really helped with planning some of our activities during the week. Highly recommend paying the extra fee for the pool heating, as it really made a difference (especially in the evenings). Rum point was just a short walk away and everything else we had wanted to do was a short drive (having a rental car certainly is needed on this side of the island). The upgrades to the kitchen really made it nice when we spent a night cooking at the house rather than going out. Despite being next to the public beach, it was very quiet and secluded all week...only a few snorkelers here and there heading out from the beach. Would love to come back again. Highly recommend this house for your stay on Grand Cayman.

What a great week!
Sometimes vacation property owners use the word luxury and then you find out they exaggerated. Not this time. Everyone in our family (2 grandparents, 4 parents, 3 kids ages 12, 10 and 5) had a wonderful time in this large impressive home. There were plenty of sleeping areas, plenty of bathrooms, lots of room to spread out during the day and an unbelievable amount of outdoor activity space and furnishings. The dining table was easily big enough for 9. We also enjoyed casual eating around the gigantic kitchen island with 8! bar stools. We used the gorgeous infinity pool several times every day, and also the hot tub. Loved the lounge chairs and hammock. Almost everyone tried out the kayaks, snorkeled out front, walked the beach and dug in the sand. There were beach and pool toys available and even a few puzzles and games for nighttime or during rain showers. Electronics were everywhere and a great wi-fi connection kept everyone happy with their personal devices. Being close enough to walk to Rum Point was a bonus as well. The convenience of food and drinks at Rum Point can't be beat. We loved Red Sail sports and rented snorkels, jet skis and the water trike and bought a Stingray City cruise from the very friendly folks there. The only minor drawback to the house location is being a little far away from the airport, Georgetown and other Cayman attractions, but the privacy and lack of crowds more than compensate. Kudos also to the management company who responded very quickly to resolve a/c and minor maintenance issues. The beach is rocky and entry into the water requires care, but the view anytime of the day or night was just amazing. Great food at Over the Edge. Suggest you buy groceries at one of the larger markets in or near Georgetown on your way from the airport or you will pay premium prices for very small selection.

Wonderful!
We had the pleasure of staying at Kai Vista in early February 2016. We had a group of 7 people and the house and the setting was more than accommodating. The rooms are very spacious and the open floor plan on the main floor served as the best way to enjoy meals together and cook. We utilized the hot tub and pool every day, and would recommend paying extra to heat the pool for evenings. This was an amazing rental home and we commend the house staff for their welcoming and clean environment.

Amazing, never wanted to leave!!!!
Kai Vista truly is paradise. The home is beautiful! Decorated perfectly to keep in the Caribbean whether your in doors or out, the views are second to none. The furniture is clean comfortable and leave you feeling right at home. The beds are comfortable enough, there is a ton of bedding. The master ensuite is straight out of a magazine... Its gorgeous!
As a group of 8 ladies we loved the enormous island. We used for nearly all meals and to share our chocolate! The beautiful pendant lights are the colour of the sea. We would all gather on their sectional after dinner to visit and for some serious girl time... Lol!
The pool area cannot be beat. Many naps, parties, morning coffees etc were had out there! We paid to have the pool heated and feel this would be a necessity. The furniture is comfortable. There are pool toys. The beach is right there... We did yoga there with no beach traffic it's completely tranquil! There is snorkel equipment, bikes, etc in the garage.
If you want to explore the island you need a car no two ways around it
My only suggestions would be that they upgrade some pans in the kitchen... Like an electric griddle, get a new blender... Though I'm sure you need too often, new cookie sheets and throw out the garbage ones. Also there are a few spices that others have left behind salt and pepper galore but perhaps a spice rack deck from Walmart or Costco. Keep things like tin foil Saran Wrap for guest. There was no usable bbq for us.
I would go back to Kai Vista tomorrow and never leave given the opportunity.
