Everything was spectacular, the only negative was 89 degrees in the mountains that weekend and there was no AC and no screens on windows and doors. Inside temps reached 85 degrees upstairs. Other than that It was Fabulous!!!! Beautiful property, but you do need to request guest house and pay additional fees if you need the extra room.

Beautiful house and location. Description was accurate
Our only issue is the sweeping requirement at departure. That is normally the cleaning crews responsibility, which we paid a hefty amount for. And be sure to bring salt pepper foil etc. We were caught off guard and had none of the necessary kitchen items such as these things. I would stay again. Host was accommodating as well.

A group of friends celebrating a friends birthday. This has become an annual trip in the mountains. One of the prettiest cabins with ton of beautiful accessories throughout.Accommodations were perfect and a kitchen fully equipped with everything needed to fix a full dinner or just a snack.

We had a large group and rented both the main house and the guest house. The property was beautiful and very clean. There were several issues that we were not able to resolve during our stay. To be completely transparent, we did not communicate it to the owner, we just worked through it on our own. The ice maker did not work in the main house, so once the ice ran out of our cooler we had to use the ice from the guest house. The light switches were very confusing and we were unable to get some of the lamps to turn on. The heating system was somewhat difficult to understand. It would have been extremely helpful to have a manual to guide renters through the ins and outs of this property.

I will start with the pros. The house is gorgeous and has plenty of space for a large group. The beds and comfortable and the kitchen is very well stocked. The view is also spectacular. The decor in the house is amazing as well. Now the cons. It definitely needs some housekeeping done. The kitchen was pretty dirty...stove not too clean, cobwebs on almost every light fixture. The hot water was an issue in kitchen Crazy I know. We had to sweep the entire house, strip beds, take out all trash plus pay a hefty cleaning fee. I'm just like what do the maids do besides change beds?I have had to strip beds and take trash out before but never been ask to sweep all the floors. The windows and doors had handprints on them. The owner did offer to have the maids come and reclean some areas. We said no because we just didn’t have time. We were there for literally like 40 hours.
Like I said. The cabin is beautiful and accommodated so many people and you can spread out. It is probably the most stocked cabin with amenities I have ever stayed in. If they get their housekeeping issues taken care of it will definitely be a five star.

The size and layout of the property was great. Appreciated the accessibility of the first floor for the older adults. Would love yo stay again!

We did an early Thanksgiving with our family and had a wonderful time. The house was plenty big for our family of 20. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and the fire pit was a hit!
4.7
Our stay in Boone at this beautiful home was perfect just not long enough. Perfect location to Boone and blowing Rock. The house is beautiful and has everything you need. We did not want to leave.
4.7
The house and guest house easily accomodated 5 couples and 3 children. The kitchen in the main house was equipped with everything we needed to cook for a large group. The guest house was equipped with what you would need as well. Overall, we had a great time! My only complaint is with the light switches. There are a lot and they are all zoneed and have buttons for various things. It took us days to figure them out and by then we were leaving. I would definitely stay at this property again though.

Highly recommend this property. The area is gorgeous, the house is centrally located and the house is spacious and updated. Jim addressed any small concerns we had immediately and was easy to work with. The beds were very comfortable and the views from the master bedroom were amazing.

Played golf and tennis everyday
The house is gorgeous and was clean and the property manager was always available and very well organized. The second year on a row we stayed there and will keep returning!!!

Read other reviews for the good things! This is what I wish I had known going in:
I am at a loss to understand the decisions made by the owner on this property. HIGH end upgrades that don't make sense in a rental and/or don't function. They spent a fortune on things like shower and sink fixtures and fancy light switches but there's not enough hot water and the water pressure doesn't allow the jets to actually hit your body. No AC so owner told me to open windows. No screens on windows...lots of bugs. The rooms that have floor AC units have to be emptied when full with no instructions on how to do so.
No curtains/blinds in bathroom and cottage loft can see straight in at night. CHEAP towels and curtains despite upgrades. Only 4 bowls for 10 guests...teens were eating cereal out of solo cups. I think 5 spoons total? No instructions on how to use dishwasher.
Listing says 2 beverage fridges but instructions after booking say one is for owner use. No pantry or empty cupboards to store food; we had to use the bay window.
Loft was too unbearably hot for teens to hang out. Random breakers kept flipping. Wifi was pretty weak.
Owner is very accessible at all hours via text but it eventually became clear that he wasn't able to take action on things despite his best intentions. It wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed but definitely the most confusing. I wouldn't rent in summer; would stay in Fall if windows had screens & I packed lots of paper products!

Everything worked out great. Very happy with the stay.

We had a great family stay on this property as we celebrated our son's graduation. It worked perfectly in terms of its location to booth Boone and the parks and hiking located nearby. The house worked well for our group providing plenty of room for meals and relaxing -- with a great outside view on the deck.
4.7
Aunts and Uncles stayed for a wedding. Wonderful place for us to get together.
4.7
Beautiful home in lovely location. The size and ability to add the guest house make this perfect for a large group with plenty of bathrooms and large common spaces!

Thank for everything we loved stay in property amazing house no

While we had a great time, we had some issues with the house. Starting with the good, the house is amazing! Awesome that sheets are provided and anything you need to cook is available. Beautiful view and so much relaxation in the hot tub. Problems were that the heat went out on day 2 and it was super cold in the house all because the thermostat needed batteries. The gas fireplace never worked , even after communicating with the owner. Finally the water went out on day of checkout which led to no one being able to shower, brush teeth or use the facilities. That being said, the owner tried to help, be he’s not local. Had a good time, but didn’t live up to expectations given the price.
4.7
We had a wonderful time at the property- it was very accommodating for our large extended family! Location was great to pop into Boone or Blowing Rock!
4.7
Great home for a large group! Very nice view, comfortable beds! Quirky lighting controls and radiant floor heating that wasn’t ideal for cold weather , the home stayed in the 60s and we had elderly parents with us who were very cold all weekend. Hot tub was great for the younger generation of our family. The home needs more blankets for cold weather. Plenty of space for a large group!
4.7
Rented main house and guest house. High end appliances and every detail was perfect. We didn’t get to use outdoor facilities except grills due to weather, but my three sisters and their families enjoyed everything! Wonderful Family Christmas celebration!
4.7
The house is beautiful and in a great location if you are wanting to spend time in Boone/Blowing Rock. This would have been a 5 star review, but there were some minor issues. I will say that it seems nobody has stayed in the house for a while. There were some areas that it seemed the cleaners missed or didn't check. Outside lights worked here and there, the TV over the fireplace wouldn't play the Dish Network, and the other TV wouldn't either. We could watch TV on the living room TV on Youtube TV, but the TV over the fireplace didn't work. The gas grill checked the box, but the burner covers need to be replaced. Again, these are minor issues that can be remedied by a handyman/cleaning crew.

We had a great time! The house was great for our party of 16. Very comfortable for R & R!
4.7
We had a small group of mens ministry leaders from our church. The main house and bunk house was great. Would definitely recommend it.
4.7
The fall season was beautiful this year and the NC mountains did not disappoint! The rental home was spacious and a great place for a large family get together. I will agree with the majority of the reviews I read which included the home owner’s quick response to questions as well as a persistent need to “learn” the home’s lighting system. However, there were several issues noted during our stay which differed from previous descriptions. A couple things of importance, the property only has one hot tub, the guest house no longer has a hot tub. The kitchen lacked most condiments (no salt) and we were unable to locate a working blender. We were unable to utilize the bedroom TVs but admittedly this could be user error as there are many remotes spread throughout the house. The guest house bathroom receptacles had no power, and the outer bedding required washing prior to using. Parking area was plentiful and the neighborhood was quiet.
4.7
Overall we enjoyed stay, house was big for large family and friends with good amenities. Having guest house adjacent was good to hang as separate group but guest house got heater at living room alone. Also, suggest to have good internet connection and ample space around fire place outside. Overall you would enjoy stay without gadgets need internet :-)

Perfect spot for our family. Great view, very clean, and well stocked. We couldn’t have picked a better time of year to enjoy the beauty of the Fall leaves.

The house is exactly as it was described. It's beautiful, and has plenty of room for a large group. Communication with the owner was simple and immediate response. Highly recommend this location and a stay at this beautiful spot.

Great property with ample space for our needs. We had the main and guest house and all the arrangements for our stay were perfect. Loved the kitchen, hot tub, outdoor grilling area and overall layout, build and decorated house. The house was clean and provided our group with a wonderful place to stay for our weekend.

the property is beautiful and well kept. the owner, jim, responds very quickly to questions!

It's a beautiful house and we loved all the wood and nice finishes. It was spacious enough to accommodate the 14 people in our group (and the birthday party for my brother). The bathrooms are gorgeous. We enjoyed the hot tub too. It's about a 15-minute drive to downtown Boone so suited us just fine. We went hiking and zip lining and went to Grandfather Winery, which was lovely. Check-in and out was seamless and the owner was great. Had a little trouble with the jacuzzi tub but all worked out. Look forward to coming back sometime!

Fourth Weekend
The house is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Plenty of room for the 12 of us. Beautiful views and surrounding area. Would definitely recommend!
4.7
This home was beautiful, the owner was available when there were questions and the hot tub felt great!
5th room in the main house is a loft and should not be considered a room (no direct access to a bathroom). The house is perfect but with the guest house should be 6 bedrooms.
House is too smart and all the switches and TV are very difficult to figure out.
I am handicap and the gravel drive is very difficult to navigate on wheels.
I have the place a 5 because it is a wonderful home and it worked for what we needed. I would return to this house when I'm not hurt and knowing that it had everything we need. Thank you for a great stay.

Couple bumps they were resolved, communication was effective and quick to get everything we needed.
