Uncomfortable bed
4.0
The design of the cabin and that it was very clean.
The beds were very uncomfortable and made noise whenever you moved. You could hear when someone came or left, the parking was very tight, and you could hear people coming up & down the steps.
4.5
Location was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Cabin was great rustic feel but could use some upgrades.
The cabin could've used some updating. Baseboard heaters were hanging from wall a little and the light cords were draped on them. Couldn't open fridge door all the way because of window trim and baseboard so left drawer was useless. One exterior door didn't close all the way and most cabinet doors didn't meet.. They need to have more parking available. There's 4 units but only 3 normal size cars could fit without blocking each other. The 2 double beds blocked the upstairs door, so you had to move the bed to go on balcony, which was a beautiful view.

Bedroom was small

I loved the space as there were five of us. It provided plenty of room for us and helped us get to the near by locations quickly. The views were amazing and truly felt like a cabin in the woods.
The room was not ready until 6pm 3 hours passed the check-in time. The wifi was spotty and there was no place to dispose of the trash after it go full.
3.5
Clean quiet cute
Too expensive for a place with a 4pm check in and 10 am check out.
Couldn’t get gas fireplace to work
2.5
The location is pretty remote, you can sleep in a quiet environment.
Rooms are large and offer a nice kitchen if you wanted to cook your own meal.
The facility is pretty old and could use refurbishment. The rooms are looking like a 1970 hotel. Comfortable and spacious but everything is old.
The hotel offers very little outdoor facilities and activities.

Great location with good cabins next to a fishing pond.
The cabin was clean and comfortable with a nice view on the pond. Furniture could be improved. And the lights are too bright (not making the room very cosy).
4.5
Great location, very close to Blowing Rock, nice drive. Clean room with a nice pond great for trout fishing and walks.
A little bit more room soundproofing would be great (may be just specific rooms). But if you sleep like a log you probably won’t notice your neighbors.
4.5
Cleanliness, comfort, ground level.
Refrigerator availability,
Noisy upstairs neighbors, location outside town,
Door difficult to open with code, no paper supplies provided.

On the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Incredibly noisy from room above, no sound insulation! This should be clarified on the advertisement. Too many rules and regulations, it felt like we were at boot camp.

The drive up to the property is a little scary if you aren’t used to driving in the mountains, but it’s very scenic and beautiful views.
Paid 200 dollars for a room in someone’s basement that had a view of the literal ground outside. I don’t mean it was the yard, I mean our windows were about a foot above ground level so we saw ground outside our bedroom. Not the beautiful lakes or outlooks over the village like the property advertises, which isn’t a problem… IF I was made aware somewhere in the posting for the room, I wasn’t. That really was the most disappointing part of our weekend trip, we also had a list of chores to complete after our 36 hour stay which included taking out all trash OUT of the room, not just bagging in neatly, had to drive it to their dumpster on the property, take the sheets off the bed, put them in a pillow case and put it bundle in the bathtub, no dirty dishes may be in your kitchen or you’ll pay a 50 cleaning fee for any and all offenses of this cleaning list, there were more things do but basically short of vacuuming the room, you did it all. Which didn’t take long, we are clean people but I found it ridiculous for there to be that many things to do before checkout. As for the room itself, it was a vintage looking cabin, nothing great about it, other than the beautiful scenery around the property that I was expecting to be able to look at during our stay since this was a relaxing trip, not one where we planned to be out and about. We did have a fire place… that was probably the one and only good thing about the actual room we got. In closing, if the listing made the customer aware exactly what they were buying (what view they’d have), no worries. I’d have picked something else, what I got wasn’t just “not the best view” it was no view. And this isn’t a Marriott inn, this is a mountain cabin that focuses all their photos on how gorgeous the property is and then didn’t disclose just how bad this room was before I bought it, if we didn’t have a view of a lake, but we could see SOMETHING out our window, I honestly don’t wouldn’t be upset.

the location was beautiful and the rooms were very cleaned
staff wasn’t reachable if you got there after check in. instructions on how to get your room key and get into the cabin weren’t clear.
4.5
The setting was nice. The cabin was nice.
The mattress was really uncomfortable. The bedding was not warm and there were no extra blankets.

The cabin was warm and cozy.
Wished the bed was a king.

The location is great and the property is charming. A tremendous value compared to most options in the area. Not luxurious necessarily but very comfortable.

great location close to everything
4.5
Excellent accommodation with a cabin style feel. Stocked kitchen, clean and we loved the fireplace. The only thing to be mindful of is the property’s cleaning policy. Guests are to put dirty sheets in pillow cases and place them in the bathtub before checking out. Guests are also asked to throw out the garbage from the unit. If you are traveling, make sure to leave time for cleaning.
