Immaculate 2BR free standing "Peach Cottage" on two manicured sprawling acres. Less than a half mile from the intersection of High St & Water St, you'll be a quick 10-15 minute walk (all sidewalk) to the ferry, Old Harbor, the beach, nightlife, and family-friendly activities. Great for couples, friends, solo adventurers, and families. 2BR/1BA.

THE SPACE
Sleep 4 (maximum overnight occupancy) in this immaculate rental. Built in 2015 with all new everything, overlooks a beautifully landscaped property and is just minutes from Old Harbor by foot. This beautifully appointed 2nd floor free-standing unit (there is nothing beneath you but an unused garage space) features 2 bedrooms: one queen, and one with two singles. There is a full bath indoors, plus a bonus outdoor second shower. Skylights, plenty of windows throughout, ceiling fans and central air ensure a wonderful island experience!
The 2 acre property features an expansive lawn (great for kids to run and play!), includes a hammock, fruit trees and an organic garden you are welcome to enjoy. The kitchenette has a refrigerator, microwave, stove plate, Keurig and drip coffee makers. There is a small dining table that does expand to seat 4. We provide all the basics (cutlery, dishes, cookware), so you can dine in, or enjoy the gorgeous view on your private spacious balcony - complete with your own grill, peach tree! and ample seating for friends.
The cozy living room features a large Vizio HDTV, complimentary WiFi and Cable TV. The full bathroom (indoors) includes a pristine walk-in shower, complimentary amenities (soap, shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer), and new mini washer & dryer (for a few items at a time). The outdoor shower offers both hot and cold water. The unit boasts ample storage with plenty of cabinet space, 3 closets, and a full size dresser. Solid oak floors throughout.
GUEST ACCESS
The entire rental and all of the grounds are available for guest use. You have your own balcony, grill, space for your bicycles and parking for up to 2 cars. The spacious, well kept yard is especially kid-friendly, though we have none of our own (so the property is nice and quiet, should you be seeking a peaceful retreat).
The owners are on property in the main house should you need anything, but you have total privacy as the rental is separate.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
The apartment is a single floor unit located on the second storey of a detatched unused garage, there is nobody beneath you. You do need to ascend a flight of outdoor stairs to access the unit. Maximum overnight occupancy is 4 people. While we welcome you to invite guests over, we ask that you limit it to 6 persons. (Need extra space for guests? We have an additional 2 bedrooms for rent in the main house on the property, which share a private entrance, staircase, and full bath)
Regrettably, we generally cannot accommodate pets*, as we have our own little maltese on the property already.
*on rare occasion, we may be able to permit one small (under 12 lbs) female dog per stay for an additional non-refundable one time pet fee of $100. please inquire.
WHAT IS PROVIDED/WHAT TO BRING

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
A stone's throw (less than half a mile) from Old Harbor, you are about a 10-15 minute walk away (all sidewalk!). Nearby amenities are the local school playground (close enough to walk to, far enough not to hear any 'school' noise), Empire Movie Theater, scooter rental, the ferry, and all the shopping and yummy restaurants you can handle on Water Street.
GETTING AROUND
We are close to the ferry, the airport, and all of the fun that Old Harbor has to offer! You can walk to Old Harbor, the ferry, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, etc on one of the few sidewalk lined streets on Block Island. You'll love the convenience, privacy, and outdoor space that this rental offers, you can leave the car at home and just bring your sneakers!

This is our second time staying here and it’s just so cute and cozy! Ila makes it super special for her guests. It’s close to town and makes for a perfect stroll in the morning for coffee or an evening ice cream run! We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking for a cute, clean, comfortable place to stay, this is it. This property is a short 10 minute walk from town. It was stocked with everything we needed and more, including beach chairs. We spent a lot of time on the beautiful deck overlooking a beautiful yard, including a vegetable garden and peach tree. Host Ila was kind and generous. We will definitely be back next year!

Ila and Marty were such wonderful, accommodating hosts! As soon as we finished unloading our luggage, we realized my 3 year old had pushed the ignition button on my car, which drained our battery. Marty had a device that powered our battery enough to turn our car back on, saving the day!! The unit itself was well appointed, clean, comfortable and quiet. We felt right at home at Ila’s place!! The apartment was super clean, cozy, and comfortable. Our favorite part was the sunny deck with a grill and a great view. So relaxing and peaceful!! This is a spot you won't want to pass up, perfect as always. The hosts could not have been more accommodating to our needs, especially during what turned out to be a crazy weekend of weather and ferry delays due to the storm. They are the most understanding and easily accessible hosts - while also allowing for maximum privacy during your stay. This property is an absolute gem!! I’ve stayed in BI many times and this is by far our favorite. It was myself and my two daughters (ages 15 & 7) and we all loved it. The location is great and it had everything we needed to feel like home. The beds were so comfortable.

We had a very nice stay here and enjoyed being close to town so our teens could ride their bikes there. Easy walk as well. Our hosts were lovely, kind, and very accommodating. They made us feel welcome with special little extra touches. The rental is on property but private and nice and quiet. There is no stove but has 2 cooktops and a grill so wasn’t an issue for us. We loved our stay here, thank you Ila, Marty, and Kari Jo!

Once again, this accommodation did not disappoint. It is our third year staying in this quaint cottage and it was again perfectly suited for our family of four. We love Block Island, and all that it has to offer - we experience new places and things with each visit! This accommodation is very clean and well taken care of. Owner on property, but extremely private accommodation. Communication with the owner cannot be beat as she truly cares that renters enjoy their stay. We hope we are not outgrowing this accommodation as it has been just perfect with our two young children under 10. Block Island and this peaceful cottage will always hold special memories for our family!

Spent the month of September in this well-equipped, and spacious 2-bedroom apartment. Our Block Island lodging came with all the amenities: AC, outdoor deck & grill, towels and sheets, enormous flat screen TV, beach chairs and all necessary kitchen utensils, cutlery, plates, glasses, pots & pans. Walking distance to 1661 Garden & Animal Farm and into town. Although we had a car (ample parking available too!) we usually rode bikes to the beach and to the great restaurants in New Harbor. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this apartment for a delightful, peaceful vacation.

This above garage apartment is immaculate and perfect for a family of 4. Spacious bedrooms and bathroom, fantastic outdoor shower, cozy kitchenette and living area… and the deck… fantastic and spacious. Ila and her husband will provide you with just about anything you need that may not be in the apartment. They respect your privacy as well. So gracious!!!
Close walk/bike to town makes it even better. The property is gorgeous and we were able to pick some veggies from the garden.

We loved this spot. Ila and her husband were generous and friendly hosts. They lent us beach chairs, sand toys, etc, and
I am sure they would have offered us just about anything else we asked for. The deck was large and was a great place to visit with family that came over for the day. The bathroom is quite large and having the washer and dryer allowed us to pack light.
We have an 8 year old so having the school playground across the street was super convenient. Very quiet and private location but still plenty close enough to walk/ride your bikes to Old Harbor or honestly anywhere on the island.
When super windy the deck umbrella had a mind of its own and should be better secured and the Wifi wasn't the best for my son's standards :-) but that isn't why we were here.
This island has a special place in my husband and I's hearts and we love that we could spend the whole week here and relax in this lovely space. If you have a small family or a couple traveling this is a perfect place to rent. We can't wait to come back.

Property is mostly as advertised. One minor detail (minor to us, maybe not to others?) is that there is not a stove. We found between the high-end hot plates and the very clean outdoor gas grill, we could easily prep any meal we wanted. Easy walk into town. Wife and I are both 62, in at least average physical condition and found the 1/2 mile stroll easy to do, even multiple times per day. Place is clean, very quiet, and pleasant views. Overall, a great value and we would return if we were to visit the island in the future.

Clean, comfy beds, great location (quiet yet close to Old Harbor), washer/dryer allowed us to pack very lightly. Kitchen had just what we needed to cook dinner most evenings (and the grill was nice to have). There is no stove so keep that in mind (instead, there are 2 powerful induction burners). We appreciated the central a/c, which is difficult to find on the island. We didn’t use the indoor shower at all, as we all love an outdoor shower. My 5-year old loved the hammock and big yard. And Ila was very responsive for the few questions we had. The 3 of us would stay again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful location, easy walk to the Atlantic inn or the farm with the kids. Our hosts were kind and welcoming and helped quickly when needed, they even left stuffed animals for our boys! The space isn’t huge but I have enough space to keep clean at home so this was a welcome change of pace. 5 stars all around and well deserved.
