Great summer vacation
We were very impressed with the cleanliness, beach decor, comfort, amenities and overall thoughtfulness and details that went into this beach house. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t provided, with the exception of bed linens , but that was noted in the listing. The central AC worked perfectly and kept us comfortable y our stay. We throughly enjoyed our time here for family meals or evening cocktails and board games. We had so much fun, we never turned on the tv. The Alexa provided was a nice touch and we used it each day for music and weather updates. We walked to the beach in the mornings and then again in the afternoons after lunch. Low tide is so much fun with the sand bars and hermit crabs! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent here again!

Great time in Clinton!
My husband, and 9yr old daughter rented this beautiful home for a few days in July. We were able to hang out with friends and family who live nearby and celebrate my birthday during our stay. The house is beautifully decorated and has everything you could need. We loved our stay and will definitely book again! The only bad thing was we didn't get to stay longer.

Charming cottage
I’ve been coming to Clinton for 30 years and this place just captures all the feelings. Amazing home, amazing area, amazing amenities. The place legit has everything and is full of New England character and charm. The place is especially comfortable for families, including infants.

Back for more!
We love this property, have stayed here twice. Great decor, well appointed for all our needs. Great location for days at the beach as well as for day trips around southern connecticut and even Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Many nice dining options nearby.

Cozy house close to beach and amenities
We loved our stay in this beautiful and quiet neighborhood. The house was sparkling clean and the AC kept us cool in 90+ degree temperatures. Good walking, close to restaurants, good sleeping! Highly recommend mini-golf at Saybrook Point!

Will be a “Go To” for us.
Everything was simple and straightforward. Owners communicate very well.
We didn’t have the best weather but we were still able to enjoy the beach, local eateries as recommended and spending quality time in a lovely setting. We will be back soon!

Wonderful getaway
Beautiful neighborhood and a really great house to stay in. So many welcoming touches and beach gear in the shed for use. We loved staying so close to the water and enjoyed daily walks with our daughter! The area was fun to explore both going north and south!

Great Beach Cottage
Very nice cottage charmingly decorated in Grove Beach area of Clinton. Our family of 5 adults and an infant stayed for a week in July of 2019. It was very clean and had all the comforts of home including central AC, large screen TV, washer / dryer, and internet. The owner Mike was very responsive during the rental process and communicated with us during our stay to make sure any questions we had were answered. We expect to rent this cottage again next summer.

Great Beach Cottage
My Son and family and myself stayed in this cottage on Groveway in Clinton from June 29th to July 6th. Being from Denver my grandchildren had never seen the ocean before. The cottage was clean and big enough to fit us all and then some. It had everything we needed except scissors. You would be surprised how often you need a pair of scissors! The toys for the kids to play with were great and they loved playing with them.. The beach was a walk but the children didn’t mind and loved every minute of beach time.
The home is located in a nice quiet neighborhood, the local restaurants were very friendly and willing to answer questions. The only problems we ran into where some small black ants in the dining room! Also the owner has a nest thermostat, during the night it's programmed to turn the AC up to 74, every night we woke up hot and had to turn it back down.
We love Clinton and will be back again.

It was lovely, just what we needed.
The owners were attentive and responsive when needed. We were there for two months and it was cozy and warm. Close to everything, clean, well decorated, plenty of space, great bathrooms and laundry. The only two minor drawbacks are the Roku TV. And the fact that the main bedroom doesn’t have a queen bed which would fit.

Stylish, beautiful house in a fantastic location
My family stayed in this lovely house for a whole month last year and ever since I have been dreaming about returning.
The house itself is homely but stylish in a classy, not too modern way. It is beautifully furnished with antiques and one off pieces. We were a little apprehensive at only seeing it in the photos which can be deceiving but it is every bit as lovely.
The facilities are more than you could want for a holiday. There was a Kitchen Aid!, a huge American washer/dryer, bikes for the whole family, a fire pit, games and toys galore for my five year old. My daughter learnt to ride a bike on the quiet road outside and has come back obsessed about lemonade stands! It is really set up as a home from home.
We had one issue with a blown fuse board when we were there and the owners had someone round immediately to fix it. (it was simply a case that we had not understood where the fuse board was).
The area has many amenities on its doorstep. The private beach is a short walk up the road. In all the four weeks we were there we essentially had it to ourselves. Newhaven was about 30mins in the car and Providence was about an hour up the road. The train to New York leaves locally. In the four weeks we only scratched the surface of what we could have done. But we loved just pottering locally - going to farmers markets, riding lessons, buying a pumpkin, breakfast at the local Turtle Cafe (recommended), SMores at Shanks on the waterfront, farms with corn mazes and ice cream. There is a great yoga class each week in the R Julia Bookshop which is a must see in Madison. And in general it is clear that there is a great community spirit in the area with community events on all the time. The owners left a book out of restaurant recommendations and they were all great shouts.
The house would suit anyone I am sure but its clear that the owners go out of their way to add that little extra personal touch and thats what sets it apart. (they had even left a pumpkin in the doorstep)
I would go back in a heart beat. We have been to the area before and stayed in the Madison Beach Club but I far preferred the relaxing nature of the house.
The only issue is that the bed in the spare room, although beautiful to look at, is not comfy for an adult and very squeaky. And two of the bedrooms are connected which was no issue for us but might have been for others.
It is winning combination of location, house, superb friendly hosts.

Amazing property & super nice Owners!
This is such a nice home - you can not go wrong renting it! Beautifully decorated, very clean and with so many cute details such as fresh flowers! The layout is perfect for teens who want their own space -as the bedrooms are away from the main living area. The kitchen was fully stocked and the three burner grill was awesome! The shed was filled with anything you would need for a fun day on the beach. There is a private beach within walking distance, but just 10 min away we discovered how amazing Hammonasset Beach is! Having a firepit was awesome and many smores were enjoyed! I would definitely recommend this property! Thank you Mike for a great stay :-)

Great house near the beach
We had a very comfortable stay at the house. It's all on one level and has a back yard that backs up to the marsh. Despite being close to other homes, the house feels very private. It was well equipped both in the kitchen as well as the shed, which has everything you need for a day at the beach (including wagon to take everything, as you have to walk to the nearest beach).
Dealing with the owners was very easy, and had any issues arisen, I am sure they would have responded quickly. Should our summer travels take us back to Clinton, we would strongly consider staying there again.
