Adorable hotel with lovely staff

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was lovely. Very nice bathroom.

Maybe a carpet in the hallway to absorb some noise? Otherwise the place was perfect!

Wonderful stay

The owner is very friendly and helpful. She replies really fast and always asks if we need help. The room is spacious and cosy. Thank goodness they have room on the ground floor. The room is disabled-friendly. Lastly, the sunset from the room view is splendid.

What a gem!

Located in the center of town near the ferry. Bedroom, bathroom and general areas spotless. Kriztina who was the hostess took really great care of us, really sweet and accommodating. Wish they had more properties around the island!

The optional breakfast buffet was a little limited and we thought it could be better priced. However, it was laid out with care.

A very good and charming place to stay if you are visiting Stykkishólmur

Akkeri Guesthouse is a very charming and well maintained property downtown Stykkishólmur close to the harbour. It has parking places in front of the house, so very comfortable if you are coming by car (like probably most people do). In front of the house is a nice wooden terrace, where you can sit and enjoy the morning sun with a cup of coffee. Inside there is a shared living/breakfast place with a couple of tables. We had a room on the ground floor. Good beds, very clean and a good shower. It is possible to open a window to get some fresh air in, something we always really appreciate. The guesthouse has a very good atmosphere. Also the owners are really nice and friendly persons. If you like, you can have breakfast, something I would definitely recommend. It was really nice being here - thank you again!

If you are lucky, you may have the place for yourself or maybe with another couple. At the time we were staying, we had quite some people living in the room above us, which was slightly noisy in the evening due to contact sounds. But well, we shouldn't complain, it really is a great place to stay

Was one of our favorite places we stayed at during our ring road trip. Amazing breakfast options, nice bed and bathroom, great view. Also the hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

Nice guesthouse close to the ferry

Very convenient location, close to the ferry. We had a room on the ground floor, close to the small kitchen, but it was still very quiet, not noisy at all. Very comfortable room, well arranged and clean, a bit bigger than I expected.

Rooms are upstairs. This is a guesthouse but unless you purchase breakfast you cannot use dining table area/toaster etc during their breakfast hours 8am-10am. Beds were not comfortable, felt like cots. Bathroom very poorly designed, no place for any toiletries. Smallest sink in Iceland.

Very nice stay!

The whole guesthouse was extremly clean: The room itself, the bath and even the breakfast room! The guesthouse is located in the city centre - you can easily walk to restaurants & the lighthouse. The breakfast was very good with bread, yoghurt, fruits and more (very good price). The owner was very nice and event sent us our phone charger (that we had forgotten in our room) to our next hotel! Modern and huge bathroom!

The windows were hard to close.

We would like to repeat in this place!

It is a family house in front of the harbour, very cozy. We had the big room with private bathroom and balcony, and we could see Northen lights at night from there. The room was spacious and bathroom perfect. The breakfast was very nice too. We really loved our stay here.

Highly recommend for a stay on the Snæfellsnes peninsula

We had to book last minute due to weather conditions and we were very warmly welcomed. The guesthouse is very clean and quiet, the room was warm, the shower had amazing water pressure. The kitchen was quite spacious with enough appliances to prepare a breakfast. The location was great to explore Stykkisholmus and the peninsula.

Cozy, quaint, and beautiful.

This is the coziest and prettiest little hotel. It is on the street leading to the port in Stykkhulmar, and our room (a triple room) even had a view of the port, in addition to a lovely little church across the street, and snow-capped mountains in the distance. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The bathroom was updated and clean, the heat was great (it was freezing while we were there), the beds were cozy, and the lighting was great. It was also quiet. The common room was also bright and lovely and very comfortable. I LOVE this guesthouse- I'll dream of it on cold nights.

There wasn't anything bad about this guesthouse-- it was ideal.

This is a perfect place to stay, probably one of the best I stayed at in Iceland. A neat house in the middle of the town surprises you with modern design and all necessary equipment. Amazing breakfast made and served with love, super-comfortable room. Will gladly stay again.

Would highly recommend this guesthouse!

Great location, comfortable, modern rooms. Coffee/tea available free of charge. Excellent breakfast available for a fee. Host/hostess were super friendly and lovely to talk to!
