lovely place and owner. he’s kept his family’s property in tip top shape, and preserved the original charm of a rural Portuguese home.

the types of food included in the breakfast are full of variety. I am impressed by the pumpkin jam with the cheese. Also, the honey cake is made from natural honey bred by the honer. I also like the orange juice~

We loved our stay in casa do fundo! the bnb was super cosy and nicely decorated. we loved sitting in front of the fireplace with a glass of red wine. the breakfast was our favourite, so many amazing fresh cheeses and jams! We also enjoyed our time chatting with the host who was super friendly and runs an amazing Bnb. We really appreciated personal touches like a tea platter in the evening or an espresso coffee in the morning. We most definitely recommend staying here!
the bed was a bit small for two tall people 😂 but that’s to be expected in Portugal and it was totally fine for 2 nights

Everything. The stories about the house and its people, the interior decorations and plants made with sensitive fingertips and eyes, and the artfully set breakfast with its delicious content. To name a few things of Everything. Such a charming place run by a generous,
creative and kind man.

The place is amazing. A beautifully kept stone house with the right furniture and a great level of comfort. Pedro is a great host and we were sad we couldn't stay longer. The breakfast was one of the best I had so far. We'll definitely comeback and recommend to friends.

A very nice boutique hotel, close to the Serra da Estrela mountain range. It's a converted family property, with granite walls and away from the hustle and bustle, located at the edge of a small village. Walks start immediately outside the house - or you can go to the Serra for breathtaking views.
The house is furnished with lots of taste, and the breakfast is absolutely spectacular: offering lots of homemade cakes and jams, cheese from the region, ... all in a setting that couldn't be more welcoming. Also, for a vegetarian, the breakfast has lots of options!
Finally, the hotel is not only really dog-friendly - there are also a few cats, which got along super well with our dog. So an excellent experience.

Chose this house for its Petfriendly and GreenKey features. The house is 121 years old, in great shape, we breathe history. We loved every detail, from the forjed iron chimney in the room to the english garden outside. Plants everywhere. Outside there's giant piece of art, which i fell in love with. The onwner Mr. Pedro is a great host. Location is great for (dis)conecting and enjoy nature. Great for astro observation at night. Excelent breakfast with many local produts and one of the best pumpkin jam i'v ever tasted. We will definitely return and recomend. Thank you Mr. Pedro, it was a great birthday weekend and thank you for the gift!
Hair towels and hair dryer would have been apreciated. We prolly just needed to ask, but we prefer not to ask.

First of all I love Pedro, friendliness, kindness and extraordinary attention. Then I loved the house and all its history, and the tasty breakfast prepared by Pedro.
I did not like to stay only two nights, I would better enjoy the location of Casa do Fundo if I stayed a few more days.

We had a great time. The place stunned us when we first arrived. We were greeted by the host who waited up for us, and a warm fire which we enjoyed with the friendly cat. The place itself was charming and picturesque. I also have to mention the delicious breakfasts. don't miss the pumpkin jams!

The owner was really friendly and the place was very clean. The breakfast was really good with lots of variety and regional products.
The bed was not good and the floors very slippery and if they had lots os heaters everywhere it was quite cold. I believe I would enjoy it the summer.

It was amazing, super breakfast with local and home made products. The house looks AMAZING and has a lot of charme + the owner loves to tell about its history what makes it even more remarkable. Definitely a recommendation to everyone.
