Location.
This Inn is a museum not a hotel. The rooms are jammed packed with antiques, leaving no room to move around. There were no lamps in the bedroom and no outlets in any rooms. The breakfast was very disappointing as there was no choice and we were given food we don't eat and told we had to try it like we were 3 year olds. Not at all what we were expecting since we've stayed in other historic bed and breakfasts throughout Ontario. We left after one night and lost $900 on this mistake since no refunds are given. Make sure you know the property well before booking.

Fantastic breakfast and perfect location and good local advice
We would absolutely stay here again
Small complaint ..the room we chose was very lovely and stylish...loved the dark walls but it was mostly taken up by the gorgeous bed. We had our own sitting room which was great but there was just too much furniture in it. Removing one of the armchairs would make a big difference ... this really is a minor detail.

Antique, antique everywhere. General atmosphere of elegance and nice historical vibe. The host is amazing - she did make us feel like de are guests in a fancy home and not BnB. The breakfast was magical - and sets a perfect mood for whole day.
no ventilation in washroom - but it’s an old house with preserved as much as possible atmosphere, so not sure if it’s a bad thing

Bed, towels, breakfast, location, guest lounge facilities, friendly host
Quality of accomodation for the price was a disappointment for our group (two rooms) after reading reviews and their website. The building is in desperate need of maintenance of terrace and exterior of building, cleaning of exterior, and maintenance and dusting in bathrooms. It lacks quality products in bathrooms for a 4/5 star presentation and the price. Sofa in the suite in a very poor state in dire need of restuffing, which made seating area less useful for our group. Good to know in advance that a lot is closed in town on Monday/Tuesday (at least in September) so very limited activities and restaurants were available, more time in the rooms then!

Breakfast was superb. Beautiful place settings but we had to leave as the next sitting was due.
The outside needs work but great location.

The house is amazing, a true Victorian gem. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Michelle was a wonderful Host and we enjoyed our stay immensely!
4.3
Beautiful creaky old house with lovely stained glass in many windows. The breakfasts are simply delicious and exquisitely presented on varied china.
Wifi didn’t reach our room, and was spotty in the common area and on the front porch.
Budget conscious, we chose the smallest room. The queen bed left less than a meter on any side or at the foot of the bed: no room for a chair or suitcase, no place to unpack to either: no closet or bureau.
Since we had to go to the common area to sit or get wifi by holding our phones up, it would have been nice if our door had latched properly when unlocked too.
Slow drain in the shower took about 45 mins to drain a 10 min shower, so we had to wait each day between them.

Super kind and friendly hostess, very extravagant breakfast. Wonderful location.

A very warm welcome from our hosts. A great house, and a very beautifull room full of charm with a wonderfull breakfast in the morning.
Our toilets were clogged, a bit inconvenient it seems to happen regularly it would be great to fixe it.

Wonderful house, great host and a delicious breakfast made with love served on a well decorated table.

beautiful property, the bed was so comfortable. Michelle is a delight and the breakfast was exceptional.
4.3
Breakfast was good, quantity comfortable.
We chose the largest room, plenty of space. Outdoor balcony for sitting. Lots of windows.
Parking on street readily available. Located within walking distance of major restaurants, parks, etc.
Hostess did all the right things, but seemed to be reciting from a script. We were seated in the living room upon arrival and 'treated' to a lengthy history of the property and her involvement therewith. We felt we were being lectured to, by a guide at a museum, when we really just wanted to get settled. The hostess made no effort to get to know us, other than identifying our home city, so we found the hospitality somewhat lacking in warmth and personality.
4.3
The Bulloch room was luxurious and spacious with a wonderful balcony. Walking distance to everything. Michelle is a lovely host, who provided a delicious, filling breakfast and takes great pride in her beautiful heritage home.
4.3
Breakfast was ample and well prepared. Location central to town and waterfront, easily accessible on foot or bicycle.
We were there during a heat wave and there is no air conditioning. Room was very small with poor air circulation. Made for two uncomfortable nights. We did not sleep well.
Also much of the common area were used to display antiques for sale. Did not look like the website photos.

This was a unique experience with the rich history and furnishings of the Bulloch house. Michelle is a great host and the breakfast is outstanding. Lots of little perks like common beverage/snack area, good wifi, latest TV etc. Overall a great stay and highly recommend it!

Your stay will be a travel back in time, surrounded by antiques, the smell of fresh cut flowers from EnglisH garden, High tea in afternoon and enjoying brief conversations with other guests. No one should miss this experience- Lynn and Jack Keating, Richmond Hill, Ontario

Loved the atmosphere, and especially the big porch!

Breakfast was amazing. Michelle’s thoughtful selection and execution was impressive.
Sat out on a lovely large deck for drinks and take out. There were a few piles of debris from gardening and such that were a bit of an eye sore. A quick clean up would solve the situation.
4.3
Absolutely beautiful property. Wonderful food. Very friendly hosts.
I didn’t like that guests from a red zone, although very friendly, were allowed to stay at Bulloch House (green zone) and no one was wearing masks. Taking people’s temperature does not prove that they do not have Covid. If I had my vehicle, I would have left because of this. It’s too bad that this part of the stay dampened the rest of the beauty around us. I pray we did not catch the virus.
