Welcome to Laurel Lodge, a large luxury vacation rental cabin nestled in the heart of Gatlinburg, TN, near Ober Mountain resort, downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This inviting chalet is perfect for larger groups like family reunions, church retreats, and business meetings. Laurel Lodge offers privacy, unhindered views of Mt. LeConte and the surrounding Smokies, and all the luxury amenities you'll need to enjoy a truly restful vacation with those you love. The home boasts high-end finishes, professionally decorated spaces, and plenty of space for up to 24 guests.

Upon arriving at Laurel Lodge, guests can park and unload in the large gravel lot, which offers flat, easy entry to the middle level of the home. Be sure to lock those car doors before you head inside, because the resident black bears are experts at opening car doors (no joke)!

Once inside, a spacious gathering room welcomes guests, complete with plush furnishings, a cozy stone fireplace, a large TV, and a large billiards area. Need to mix a bit of business with your pleasure? There's a convenient office nook right around the corner just for you. The six bedrooms (four king and two queen) on this level offer Serta Presidential mattresses, flat-screen TVs, and ensuite baths, including one that’s accessible for differently-abled guests. A half bathroom is also available as an added convenience.

At the end of the corridor, a back set of stairs leads to the lower level, which is home to a large theater room. Within its walls, you'll find theater-style seating for 14, oversized plush beanbags, and a 70" SmartTV, along with a shuffleboard table.

When you head back to the front of the house on the main level and ascend the stairway to the top floor, you are greeted by a large open-concept living space. Comfy furnishings surround another large stone fireplace and a large TV, and the space opens directly to the kitchen and dining areas. Two 12-person dining tables provide ample space to enjoy meals together, and the kitchen provides plenty of space for multiple chefs. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle preparing meals for 24 people and includes an industrial refrigerator/freezer unit, two stoves, two dishwashers, tons of counter space, and a large-capacity ice maker.

This upper level is also home to six additional ensuite bedrooms (two king and four queen), each boasting a Serta Presidential mattress, a flat-screen TV, and an ensuite bathroom.

Outside, the expansive upper-level deck offers plenty of seating and gorgeous long-range views of the Smoky Mountains. Guests can even catch views of the Ober Mountain tram as it ascends and descends the mountain every 20 minutes or so. Additionally, two gas grills are also available when you feel the urge to cook “al fresco,” which, when you’re in the Smokies, might be the very best way to cook! Just beyond, and surrounded by lush vegetation, an extra-large hot tub (it seats eight!) awaits, providing the perfect spot to soak away the stresses of life.

Guests of this Gatlinburg chalet rental have access to three clubhouses, the closest to Laurel Lodge being the S. Baden Clubhouse, which has a large outdoor pool, changing rooms/showers, shuffleboard, horseshoes, a playground, tennis courts, a gym, and a game room with billiards, ping pong, foosball, checkers/chess, and video games.

This is the 2nd stay for our staff of 12. The home is perfect for our annual staff retreats. We love the individual bedrooms with bathrooms, the huge kitchen and living space and the movie room. It's close to town but feels like living in the trees. The outdoor space is great too but we had bear friends hanging out around the house so we didn't use that too much.

Lots of bedrooms, comfortable beds, each bedroom has its own bathroom. Lovely deck with rocking chairs, beautiful views of mountains and woods. Saw a black bear nearby. Large well-equipped kitchen and good-sized gathering rooms for dining, sitting and nice theater room seating 18 plus bean bag chairs. Plenty of space to park. Everyone loved it!

We stayed here for our staff retreat. It was perfect. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. The common spaces were great for our meetings, free time, and meals. It was close to Gatlinburg but felt like we were living in the trees. The house is beautiful and updated. I have already booked us for next year.

Has a little bit of everything for large groups - large, functional kitchen; 12 bedrooms, each with a private bathroom; multiple sitting areas with TVs as well as the theater room; deck that can accommodate a large group; plenty of dining space; proximity to Gatlinburg, etc. We would probably stay there again. Here are our nit picks: 1. If you are bringing a large conversion van, you will struggle on the road/driveway getting to the chalet. Minivans and trucks were fine. 2. It could use a couple more game/activity options. Has a pool table, which we used heavily, and a shuffle board which we did not. The shuffle board table is a bit useless as the pucks do not slide for anything. Adding an arcade game or a ping pong table would be awesome. 3. We had one maintenance issue that became an annoyance. Our second day (of five days total), the fridge seal popped off and would not allow the fridge door to stay closed. It looked like this had happened frequently before and had been fixed with spit and hope. We called the maintenance line and were told a worker would be out the next morning to fix it. They never came and we got no communication whatsoever the rest of the trip. We used a chair propped against the door to keep it closed.

From my first phone conversation to my last phone call to Ms. Pam, I've felt welcomed. My family and I really enjoyed the space and the views. The house was really spacious enough for us to enjoy every square inch. Let's get into the location! We'll it was the travel up the mountain for me. That was the scariest ride ever. Then the day after Christmas we went out into town. It started to snow so that made the travel back up the mountain even more scary. Saying all of that to say beautiful house, scary drive to it.
