Love the red loft! Everything you could need was there. I loved the front screened porch! Kitchen was stocked nicely. We fell in love with North Carolina and will definitely be back. It is the best for mountain biking. So beautiful!

Beautiful cabin in the woods, wouldn't have changed a thing. Amazing location for the Blue Ridge scenic route and visiting Asheville.

Our family of four stayed at the Red Loft cabin in Candler, NC and had the best time! The cabin was equipped with everything we needed during our time there. We spent most of our time touring the Biltmore estate or hiking to nearby waterfalls. I highly recommend booking this cabin!

This property looked exactly as listed, with good amenities. Towels were stocked, a coffee maker and a keurig, good Wi-Fi (you will need it, we didn’t get cell service). It’s located on a pretty mountain road but still an easy drive to Asheville.
4.8
The Red Loft was clean and well supplied with anything you may need for cooking, extra bedding and towels. Plenty of comfortable seating, sleeping, gas fireplace and enclosed front porch. There was a nearby hiking trail. We enjoyed our stay and would rent again.

If you’re looking for a nature retreat to disconnect for a few days this is your place. The screened in porch made morning coffee that much more enjoyable.

We enjoyed our short stay in "The Red Loft". It was clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and only a 20 minute drive to Asheville. We particularly enjoyed watching the birds and small wildlife from the screened-in porch. We didn't get any internet or cellphone service, but that was part of the charm for us. Highly recommend for a get-away!

We did have a good time nice and quiet.

This home was the perfect size and location for a weekend getaway to the Asheville area and full of charm with a cozy cabin in the woods vibe. A best of both world spot - close enough to Asheville but also wonderfully rural and really close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was very cold when we were there and the gas fireplace was amazing and the house stayed toasty warm. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was spotless. In the summer I’m sure I would have spent many hours on the beautiful front porch swing or on the patio enjoying the gas grill. When we arrived everything was perfect. Edison lights greeted us as did a little Christmas tree and stockings hung by the fireplace. Internet was much appreciate by this city girl and while cell phone service was not great (never is in the mountains) we were able to utilize WiFi calling. Everything was clean and welcoming. A couple of things that kept me from giving it 5 stars overall - the bed in the master bedroom needs replacing and preferably with at least a queen size. Also the living room has a futon as a sofa and it just wasn’t the most comfortable for a fireside hangout. The last suggested improvement would be the towels in the bathroom. These are small things easily overcome and I don’t want to detract from the overall charm of this quaint and cozy mountain getaway. Bonus points for having the same style dishes as my childhood home! A cabin in the woods will always win out for me over a hotel room and this was a great value for a lovely little home. 4 1/2 stars.

This cabin is awesome. It has a wonderful retro vibe. It was 20 minutes from everything, which was perfect for us. Thank you for a great weekend getaway.

Very quiet and secluded but close to everything

I had to communicate with the host over a few of my own planning issues and they were quick to respond and easy to work with. My mother in law and brother in law stayed with us and all agreed it was a great deal. I hope to be booking again in the future!

This cottage is very cozy for any small group or family. A nice respite away--but not too distant--from Asheville. Wish we had more time to explore the trails nearby. Instead, we enjoyed socializing in the living room and out on the porch. What's more, the owner and his family are really charming folks. Very happy with our stay.
4.8
We were secluded enough for privacy but not far from anything we wanted to do. Much better then a hotel stay. The entire process was very simple. I would stay there again.

I wanted a secluded spot but with easy access to Asheville by car. This was perfect. The house has everything you need, and was also close to a lot of hiking/outdoor activities in the area.

Vintage Awesomeness in the Mountains!
This property is so quaint, welcoming, and made me feel like a kid again. The mid-century vibe and cozy surroundings were just what we needed after long hikes and trips to Biltmore. Our check in was a piece of cake, and the manager communicated very quickly with us when we had questions or requests. This place is a true hidden gem! Clean, quiet, comfy, and full of great memories for us!

Quiet & Comfortable Getaway Cabin
This cabin was perfect for our family trip. The screened \ covered porch was perfect for relaxing to the sounds of the creek and birds. Property is away from busy roads in a quiet area. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

This is a hidden gem nestled in the mountains with spectacular views and solitude. Yet only takes minutes to the main road to take you wherever you desire. The place was wonderful inside and EXTREMELY clean. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice cabin, great screened in porch. Double bed Squeaks Everytime you move when in bed, comfortable but can't move or turn over without everyone in the cabin hearing.

When we arrived after 15 hours of travel, the lock box didn’t work and we could not access the key. We could not contact the property manager because of his bad service on his cell phone. It went straight to voicemail over and over. We had to get our kids back in the car and rent a hotel room for 300 dollars at 8:30 at night. The property manager did not get our messages until after 11 that night. The rest of the week was good and we enjoyed the property. We understand that things happen, but also think that communication should have been easier.

Great location! The cabin was clean. We loved the patio, the screened porch, and the fireplace. Easy to get to hiking trails, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville, etc. Our family met up for a non-traditional Thanksgiving and loved every minute. Thank you!

This was a wonderful cabin! Cleanliness is extremely important to me and it was very clean! The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to stay in and cook if desired. I actually kicked myself for not seeing what all they had prior to going to grocery. Many of the essential non food types of items they already had. The gas grill on the patio wasn’t stellar but was certainly good enough for grilling hot dogs. The front porch and porch swing were amazing and we were able to enjoy that every night. The porch also had cute string lights which made it feel so cozy.
It was a little tricky to find the cabin but I suppose most mountain cabins are! It is a gravel drive to get up to the cabin with a bit of a drop off on one side which was a little scary but I’ve certainly been to cabins before that were much more difficult to navigate to. If I had one complaint (although not a big one) it would be the beds. They weren’t the most cozy, but again, its a cabin not a 5 star hotel. It was about a 25 minute drive to downtown Asheville, about 30 minutes to Black Mountain, and about an hour to Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. Overall, wonderful place!

Once we found the place (DONT try to find it in the dark as we did), we found it to be a lovely, quiet getaway ! So well stocked, clean and cozy. We didn't want to leave!
I really liked that it was off the beaten path after staying in town for several days and so close to the BR parkway.
We will definitely be returning!
Thanks Red Loft
