About this house rental
Ya'll are in Texas now! This rental is a 2 bedroom 1 bath from December 1-February 1 2024. For Winter Texans, there is a large discount. otherwise It’s a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, walk-out overlooking a beautiful cove on Lake Conroe. Large front patio, with BBQ grill. Decorated in a tasteful yet whimsical marine motif. Stainless steel appliance and modern lighting with antiques scattered about. Kitchen, and both bath rooms with new granite counter tops and Carrera marble backsplashes. One bathroom has floor to ceiling marble walk-in shower, the other bath has tub and surround. Imagine ultra modern high end stainless steel light fixtures, even in the closets, every fixture, including ceiling fans are new. All original art, new sectional sofa with 4 recliners with heat, massage and cup chillers, red silk curtains, dark ebony or mahogany bedroom furniture with high thread count sheets, comforter, and tasteful & fun artistic throw pillows. All beds are very comfortable. All hotel pillows. All new stainless steel appliances, TV in each bedroom, 2 of which are smart TV, and big screen in the living room. Gold framed full mirrors in each walk-in closet. Kitchen has 18 point starburst light fixture over the rock maple butcher block island. Fully stocked with high end tableware, cookware, single cup Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster, rice cooker, easy flip waffle-maker...I believe we have all the necessities. Let me know if we missed anything, and will make sure it is there as well. Biggest pantry you have ever seen. Laundry has a 2nd refrigerator and large capacity front loading washer and dryer, with a "twin" smaller washer and a "twin" smaller dryer" on top. Very cool. Undermount sinks, faucets. We did not change the beautiful Austin-style river rock massive fireplace in the middle of the home. Stunning, and probably the reason Woody wanted this house. I put an electric fireplace insert into the fireplace with heat and electronic flames without the mess. (remote control). The front door has an electronic entry, so just use the code for security. Plenty of parking. Plenty of storage, privacy. It is perfect for an executive family who just moved to this area, and wants to leave all belongings packed and just bring suitcases. Pack your home into a movable pod, put it in storage, and only unpack into your new home when it is ready. Why move everything twice? Our rates are adjusted for long term rentals. Of note, this is the lower floor of our 5200 sq foot home, and we live upstairs, however, there are no shared indoor common spaces. Woody is retired and Iwork pretty far away and commute, and we are a very nice couple. We are happy to also have short term or long weekend renters but are not the location for bachelor parties, or graduation parties. No Smoking please. Pets are welcome, small non-refundable pet cleaning fee for our cleaning crew. For pets, one of the bedrooms has a door which opens out into a fenced yard so easy to walk the dog, just open the door.

They offered to host our reunion and house family members for no extra cost shortly after Beryl took out power to all of Willis. True Texas hospitality!!! Fortunately power was restored and reunion went great w/o a hitch. Can’t say enough about Cheryl and Woody.

The property is plenty big enough for all of to stay in. We had 4 adults and 3 of our grandchildren. Everything was great! From having a snack basket to even a bottle of wine waiting for us. Only downside was that their was flooding but did not effect our stay, just couldn't get boat into the lake per lake management which was not the property we stay at fault. The property did have a musty smell. And at tea could hear owners walking upstairs. Which we were fine with. The area is quiand no loud traffic could be heard. Was close enough to coffee and donutrun for breakfast.

We enjoyed the house, it was stocked with everything we needed. The views were amazing! My father caught two large catfish. We would definitely stay here again!

Family welcomed by amazing property owners with an awesome welcome basket filled with lots of snacks/goodies which my three adult/teens enjoyed immensely! Beautiful, large home in a quiet area was very clean and well stocked with all the stay amenities and small kitchen appliances one could need for our family vacation - truly was our serene lake view home away from home- leveraged their baking supplies to whip up brownies and cookies and made a big batch of chili via crock pot. We enjoyed fishing in the cove trying to catch the 4 foot gar whom made a daily appearance with all the turtles and fully leveraged the public boat dock area right down the road to do some night cat fishing as well. The property is perfect for dog owners too, with a gated area off the back patio, tile floors and a quaint and quiet community with friendly neighbors whom gave our dog ample attention during our daily am walk. Had a personal issue arose during stay and the owners were so very compassionate and understanding to also work with us to support extend check out/stay…we definitely will be back again soon!

We had a fabulous time staying at Woody and Cheryl’s while attending a local show. The accommodations were very comfortable, and we enjoyed fishing while the dogs were able to play in the backyard. We definitely will stay again! Thank you for a very nice stay.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend, it was really hot outside, but inside the house stayed cool to temp, we had a blast. Beds were super comfortable and we all had plenty of room to spread out. Loved all the furnishings and our hosts, Cheryl and Woody were fabulous! We’re already planning to come back next year. I would highly recommend this house for sure!

Our property managers were prompt to communicate with us. The location was wonderfully placed next to the lake so that we could splash and relax. Upon arrival, there was a gift basket waiting for us after our long journey filled with everything we would need to settle in without unpacking too much! Every detail was thought of - soaps were gently placed near sinks, unused and unopened! I cried on oir last day - we truly made this home for two weeks and felt loved and refreshed. Leaving was too simple - no need to clean up too much at all... the service is provided.
We will be returning annually to this location. It was peaceful, relaxing, and just wonderful.

The house was perfect for bringing together my adult children and their fur babies and the grandparents. The added bonus of the dock made enjoying the lake that much easier. The kitchen was very well stocked. We enjoyed cooking our family meals together. We treasure the memories created in such a lovely house.

Our stay was so wonderful. The owners were so hospitable and accommodating. They left us snacks and bottled water plus some
Extras. They thought of everything you need to stay away from home. The house was super clean. They were quick to respond to any questions or needs we had. The property is in the basement of their home. At first I was hesitant about this. But we never saw them or heard them the whole time we were there. It was truly your own private space.

Highly recommend, we all loved it. Quiet, comfortable. Clean and With amazing view and awesome fishing. Caught a few bass and a few very large catfish. Would definitely return if in the area. Host responded quickly to questions. Again great stay.

Great Week at the Lake
We had a great week at the lake staying at Cheryl & Woody's house. They provided a goody basket with snacks that was a very nice touch. The house was very comfortable and in a great location. We will definitely consider staying again.

Amazed by this host! So generous with a mega huge gift basket filled with yummies for all,
Coffee and wine! They thought of everything - extra chargers all around-kitchen cabinets stocked with everything a cook needs! The rental was massive and so much comforts from mini fridge and coffee makers to the ultimate sectional created! Can’t say enough good things about this rental but ESPECIALLY for the hosts! They made everything easy breezy!

Felt at home right away
We are repeat visitors so it was a very quick check in for us. Had difficulty setting up our electronics and Cheryl and Woody right there to help. Our host keep adding new touches and improvements. They are the best. Hope to return next year

The owner was very responsive. The place fairly clean but we did have to deal with roaches some. Fairly well stocked kitchen and the gift basket was a great touch.

Great for gatherings
Rented the location for my brother's birthday. There's plenty of room and the hosts are very friendly and helpful.
There is pretty much anything you may need for cooking and cleanup. And the water is right there. There's plenty of room for gathering and it's a quite spot.
When we arrived, we were treated with a lovely "welcome" gift basket. The furniture was comfortable and overall it had a homey feel to it. The owners were very kind and available for anything we may have needed.
The only negative is that it's a little noisy. You can hear when someone is moving about and the beds creak; which adds to the nautical theming of the place. Almost like you're on a boat by the lake.
We would most definitely stay again.

The home was beautiful and had everything we needed in house. Plenty of room for entire family of 8. This home had the most beautiful sunrise I have seen in awhile!! The owners were kind, provided a welcome basket, and beautiful balloons towers for my daughter’s birthday!
