Stayed here two nights for our daughter's graduation and it worked great. With 7 of us, it was nice to have a place large enough to stay without feeling cramped.
4.0 / 10.0
The beds were extremely uncomfortable and old, as well as the furniture. We like the quirkiness of the home but it needed some maintenance. One of the twin beds had no frame at all and a futon does not make a bed.

This was a fun house to stay in. Love the mid century quirkiness of the house and the decor. The amount of books on the shelves was a,mazing. The view were awesome. The location to Lexington was great.

I stayed here with a group of friends and it was perfect for a group of 4 people (I can imagine it'd also be totally fine for 8 people if they're couples). Comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, lots of seating and chill space, etc. It was truly great! The kitchen had some food in the cabinets and lots of pots/pans/spices for cooking. The house is also really close to Boxerwood, which is a beautiful educational space that also has walking paths open to the public!

It was perfect for our staff of four to stay during the Lexington National Horse Show. Covienently located to the horse center

Wehave stayed here before and the proximity is great.
We did have an issue but the property manager responded very quickly and resolved it.

We stayed for a long weekend. Loved the location, close to everything!! Somewhat dated house, but very clean and nice. Grounds were beautiful and the views were awesome, deer in the yard every morning. We had a great stay!!

Good stay!
Good location, nice neighborhood. Each had own bedroom, with 3 full bathrooms. The furniture and kitchen are dated, but the beds were comfy. Enjoyed the big dining room table for games, wine and laughs. Place had all we needed for our stay.

Spring break 2021
I rented this house for spring break with my grandchildren we took a day trip to Virginia safari park and to the Natural Bridge. We enjoyed the house very much, the children especially my three-year-old grandson loved the big yard and the wide driveway to run his scooter on. I would believe that my only suggestion would be to possibly replace the mattresses on the bed they do seem quite old and the wicker chairs in the living room could be replaced with something just a little more comfortable. Overall we had a wonderful time and I would definitely rent this house again

Stay for Virginia Horse Trials
The house was exactly what we needed for a large group participating in the Virginia Horse Trials. The kitchen was well stocked to be able to cook a full dinner for eight adults. Though furniture is dated, it was clean and serviceable. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Nice and clean. Beds are a tad small, but serviced our needs. We would stay here again.

Will definitely stay again
The home and property are exactly as described and pictured. The home, while older, is very well maintained. It was perfect for our multi-family large group. Kitchen was very well stocked including some spices in case you need them!!
Very close to everything in Lexington and the Virginia Horse Center. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back again!

Nice house, but needs thorough cleaning and updated bedding. Bad smell from vents when heat is on.
Nice house and location, but needs thorough cleaning and updated bedding (i.e., sheets, pillows). Bad smell from vents when heat or AC is on.

Great place for a group
House was super spacious. Perfect for our large group. We loved the outporch bedroom, it was great for sleeping and hanging out. The screened in porch was perfect for relaxing and watching the deer wander around the yard. Pretty much all supplies were included which was great. Bathrooms and bedrooms were clean and neat. Definitely was an older house that seems to sit vacant fairly often. It had a feel and sort of musty smell similar to many cabins I have been in. But overall a great place especially for the price. Also in a fabulous location. Country views in a quiet neighborhood but only a couple minutes of lots to see and do in Lexington. Only about a 15 minute drive to natural bridge and all the sights thrre there as well.

Dated
While it fit our needs for Parent's Weekend, this home is very dated. The beds are doubles so it is a bit cozy for 2 people. The owner clearly has pets as there was a fair amount of hair on the futon and the blankets in the bedroom smelled like dog. The setting is beautiful and very peaceful.

It was great
It was exactly what we need!! Plenty of room for our group and close to everything we wanted to go definitely be back!!

Convenient but dated and dirty
Although close to town in a nice neighborhood, this place smelled of cat urine and needed a good cleaning. The second we checked in, we had to go to Walmart to buy cleaning supplies and tons of candles... not exactly how you want to start your vacation. Mold all over shower curtains, beds were tiny, furniture really old.... This house just needs some updates and attention before I would recommend somewhere stay there.

Plenty of room & beautiful views
We were in town for a family wedding and we had plenty of room. My mother gets around with a walker and she had no problems. The owner was kind enough to allow us to have our 3 small dogs (which are like therapy dogs to my mother). We crated them any time we were away from the house. The backside of the house had lots of windows which allowed you to take in the country side. We had deer grazing in the yard every morning. Nice place to stay and was close to were ever we needed to be for the weekend.

This was a great house!
Quaint, spacious house. VERY clean. Beautiful views, very quiet area. Everything we needed for a terrific weekend was available. The stink bugs were a bit of an nuisance, but that seems to be the case everywhere in Lexington! We will definitely look to rent this house again.

Loved the property- had two awesome sunsets over Hogback Mountain !
We had a wonderful time! Saw two fawns that still had their spots and 2 turkeys with beards
that came by while we were sitting on the screened in porch. Lexington has some excellent restaurants. I would come back again!!

Peaceful setting with great view and wildlife yet convenient to town.
Plenty of room for our family of 4 adults and 3 children, and the kids loved the proximity to Boxerwood Gardens. However, beds were not very comfortable and the rear bedroom lacks adequate window covering. The house and porch were only superficially clean.

Perfectly suited for us!
Our family traveled to Lexington for a wedding. This house welcomed and engulfed our party of 8, including 4 children. Such a way better option for us than hotel rooms. Any and everything we could have wanted/needed was at our fingertips. The ONLY surprise was our having to remove our trash/garbage on departure.

What a great location and the house was very comfortable. And the views spectacular
The rooms were cozy and the house well equipped with all the essentials. The views from the addition, dinning room, living room and the back porch were wonderful and relaxing. The yard was great to sun in and run around with the dog,she loved it. Furniture was comfortable. We have 2 adults in electric wheelchairs so the handicap bath made it easy on us caregivers. We all enjoyed watching the cows grazing, the farmer mowing, we had a turkey and 2 chicklins visit one morning. Also 2 doe and 2 yearlings visited late at night 2 nights. The wheelchairs were able to access the whole house except for the 2 baths in the hallway which they didn't need.
We would have preferred queen beds which would make it more comfortable to sleep as a couple.
It would be great for a group of friends getting together or multiple families, plenty of room and seating. We spent most of our time on the back porch just kicking back. We would definitely stay again.

Comfortable, spacious house with beautiful views, minutes from Lexington
This charming house has lots of character and plenty of places to spread out. We had 6 adults and did not feel cramped at all. It is very well equipped with everything you need and is situated on a nice piece of land that has gorgeous views. It's very peaceful and quiet, yet close to town. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Great spot for a weekend getaway!
Stayed with another VMI family for parents' weekend and it was the perfect spot: roomy, comfortable and pretty views! Very close to historic Lexington as well as shopping and highway.

Fantastic views!
My family stayed at Tucked Away over a long weekend in July for a family wedding. We were 4 couples and an infant.
The place worked out perfectly for what we needed. Really close to town with plenty of outside space for cousins to romp, and lovely western views over rolling hayfields. Kitchen was very well-equipped - we had other family over for a Sunday brunch, and it was a breeze to prepare and serve. The air conditioning kept up with the high-90s heat wave that hit. With a little one spending most of his time crawling about on the floor, I was hyper-aware of anything that hit the floor or collected in corners, and so made use of the vacuum cleaner - one of many household creature comforts we were happy to find.
The owners live nearby, so were readily accessible throughout our stay.
