Stunning sunsets, a parade of boats going by, a charming marina, and a beach brimming with natural beauty — these are the sights you’ll behold at this year-round waterfront home built to maximize its spectacular maritime views. The modern yet cozy house features a balcony overlooking the water, and an open floor plan downstairs allows for maximum water views from the kitchen, dining, and living areas thanks to an expanse of windows across the entire first floor. Two upstairs bedrooms also offer lookouts onto the ever-changing natural vista.

Relax in a rocking chair with a book or spend the day in the fresh air by taking advantage of the private dock just 50 feet away from the house. Swim at high tide or embark on a nature walk on the firm mud flats during low tide, when tidepools capture sea creatures that delight all ages. When hunger strikes, fire up the gas grill and gather around the table on the patio, which also features water views, or cook in the fully equipped kitchen outfitted with a gas stove and basic pantry supplies.

The off-the-beaten-path home makes for a serene and peaceful getaway, yet there are many excursions that might tempt you to leave the house. A visit to this area is incomplete without a trip to nearby Rockport for an afternoon of shopping or a jaunt into downtown Gloucester to experience the bustling harbor, shops, and the Fisherman’s Memorial. Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. When a 12 year old who is often hard to entertain declares a place “wondrous,” you know you’ve found something special. She could not get enough of the dock and exploring when the tide was out. The location cannot be beat for beauty and views. The house was lovely with many unexpected details taken care of. Owners were responsive and wonderful to work with. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This house had the most wonderful views of the bay & tide pools. We all had a great time. Absolutely gorgeous kitchen new kitchen with 12 foot island. Everything you could want in a rental. Plenty of bedrooms, beautifully decorated house. Wildlife at your doorstep. Binoculars to view the tides in/out! Half hour drive to Salem, great seafood restaurants close by. Much attention to the details. Would go back in a minute! Can understand its 10/10 ratings. It was the best place we have ever stayed at.

This was one of our best VRBO stays we've ever had. This home is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing ocean/land/tidepools view. The house is fully outfitted with a stocked kitchen, niceties like USB multi-plug chargers, and plenty of linens. The owners were excellent communicators and very responsive. We will definitely try to stay again if we return to the Boston area!

My wife and I like to take mini-vacations (always with water views) and this is the only place we have revisited. The views from the main floor with a wall of windows include a salt/tidal marsh complete with Great Egrets and other birds, a scenic harbor, and the Ipswich Bay. When we weren't out exploring Cape Ann and all it has to offer we were enjoying the relaxation of the views, they are that good. By the way, we were 6 adults and 2 young children and there was plenty of room for all of us.

We absolutely loved the views and we were lucky to have a week of incredible weather. Our adult kids joined us and they enjoyed kayaking and swimming. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’d need to cook at home. We cooked lobsters and fish nightly. Thank you for a lovely home to discover Gloucester & Rockport.

The house was great. The kitchen had everything we needed. The views were absolutely spectacular! We waited for low tide early afternoon and walked along the beached areas in front of the house. By 8p in the evening high tide had filled the beached areas. The next day we went whale watching with "7 Seas Whale Watching". They were fantastic! Overall great experience, host was very responsive. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. Loved the area would definitely come back.

The views are just stunning!! It is a great place for children to explore at low tide-so much for them to see. We sat out back every night to see the beautiful sunsets. The 4 bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The main living area has gorgeous views of the water. Just so relaxing-we hope to return!

In town for Daughters College Graduation. The house was one of the best we have stayed in. The views were amazing. The tidal waters made it like watching a painting before your eyes. Everyone wanted to sit and watch it all day. Everything we needed was provided. Much more than other houses we have stayed in over the last 10 yrs of vacations.

This was our second time at this property— we enjoyed it two years ago and loved it even more this time. The new kitchen renovation is spectacular, and the kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need for cooking and enjoying the space. As usual, the view of the water is captivating and we enjoyed watching the tide come in and out throughout the day. This was an ideal place to relax and have fun, regardless of the weather outside. We highly recommend this stay and are looking forward to returning in the future.

Beautiful Location, Beautiful House, But Could Use A Good Cleaning. My Wife And Myself Were Both Disappointed In How Dirty The House Was. The Host Definitely Is Not Doing This Home And Location Any Justice By Not Keeping Up With The Cleanliness. Such A High Cleaning Fee Should Actually Be Used Toward Cleaning. I Submitted Pictures To The Host. I Really Should Have Been Offered A Refund On The Cleaning Fee.

The back of the property is awesome for older kids. During low tide they found shells, ran around, splashed and learned about digging for steamers from a local man. Beds comfy, felt very safe, owner communicated well. Everything you need provided.

The location, the view and the house were wonderful!! When it was cold out loved just sitting by the window and looking at the water!! Felt like a general cleaning was done but the base boards, blinds and under furniture cleaning not done regularly. One of our friends was handicapped and did not feel the house met ADA standards. We would definitely consider staying again.

We had a mini-family vacation with parents, kids, and spouses for a long weekend. The house was a little tricky to find on the tiny residential backroads (we arrived in the dark), but once we found it we were not disappointed. The beds were shockingly comfortable for an rental property, the kitchen was very well stocked for cooking family meals, and the view was stunning. Would return in a heartbeat!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is beautiful and the water right behind the house is breathtaking. Each morning I enjoyed sipping my coffee overlooking the gorgeous view. The beds had crisp clean sheets and when we realized there weren’t any washcloths, we reached out to the owner who had some delivered to us within a few hours. Great response to our needs. The price seemed to be correct for the house. We enjoyed our stay.
