The surroundings are really incredible beautiful.
The place is very poorly managed.
I ordered two rooms with bathroom and I have asked that the rooms to be next to each other and I received one room with half bathroom as the shower was not working at the first floor and one room with separate bathroom at ground floor and everyone was using it.
I arrived late, around 10pm and I recommend not to go at night due to off-road which are poorly signaled and pay attention that there are two locations with similar name.
The entrance door was with the glass broken and it was really dangerous for anyone, specially for kids.
At 3 am I wake up as someone was in the kitchen listening to podcast and at 6am I heard the neighbour shower. At 9 am we left...

Cozy, clean and peaceful accommodation. Located in highland, remote and mountainous country-side. Spectacular landscape from window.
In order to reach with your own car, be aware that the the last ~2km of the road are rocky, bumpy and requires some very careful, steep up and down driving.

Amazing place, great scenery, lovely hosts
Hard to get to

Good location in mountains. Well equipped kitchen.
WiFi was very poor. And there was no LTE. I had to go a couple miles to catch a signal.

Nothing.
The place is really hard to access, the road is awful.
The owner was sleeping (i informed my time of arrival), I could talk with her because there is almost zero cellphone coverage. After a long trip took me over 30 minutes to get to my room.

the location was breathtaking, quiet and peaceful, we enjoyed the time spent outside on the grass and also at the barbecue. our hosts were very prompt to our requests, very helpful, greeted us with traditional alcoholic beverages and we received delicious traditional pies at the end of our stay. we bought cheese, butter and jam from our hosts that were very delicious and also one night we ordered dinner, which tasted like home.

it was a little remote so you can really enjoy the silence, the sky at night, the crickets. the view was amazing, and there are a lot of main attraction places in the area to visit.

Incredible view , attentive owners. Very good homemade food on request.
Ignore Google Maps an take the shortest acces on paved road up to Ghetari village and then 2 km of unpaved road accesible by any car.

Loved the accommodation, it was super clean and cosy. The kitchen is fully equipped. The view is beautiful. The staff gave us some kind of blueberry liquor, some romanian pancake thing and fresh, warm milk for free. They also helped us where they could.
The road is perfect until the village of Ghetari. We texted the owner 1 hour before our arrival and a guy waited for us in the parking lot. He brought us up to the apartment because we wouldn't have been able to get there because of the snow.

This is a huge house in a far away land on a remote piece of rocky mountain road.
I regret arriving at night because it was an adventure to get there, a fun adventure though.
The host was great a communicating through the booking message app. I let them know what time I'd be arriving.
Most of the road up the property is mountain driving. The last part is unpaved and made up of rather large rocks and boulders. I was scared I'd get a flat tire, but all went well. I arrived according to G-maps, but there was no house. Luckily, when coming down the road from the north, I saw a light up the hill to my right. I drove a bit further and found an even smaller steep road up to that house: it was the right road.
The fact that they left the porch light on was my savior, otherwise I would not have been able to find the house in the dark.
I was met by the host who gave me a quick tour. It's a huge house, old charm but clean and well maintained. Downstairs is a big kitchen and dining area. Upstairs are several rooms, some with private bathroom, some with shared.
The wifi was great. They put signal boosters in the area to make sure of it.
The mountain air and quaint surroundings rested my body and soul. I was only here for one day but if you are looking at a remote stay of peaceful bliss, it's better to stay a few days. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots of nice driving, caves to visit, and walks to do.
The family owns the cutest dog who welcomed me when I arrived. There are also adorable horses.
There's a glacier cave nearby and also a bat cave (Ionele's Door Cave) and Bear's Cave is not too far from here.

The house is solid and safe. The walls built with traditional bricks keep the rooms quiet and comfortably cool in the summer. Our host has always been cheerful and helpful. Her daughter speaks English very well. The meals were fresh and tasty, made with local products and recipes. Peaceful Romanian mountain village.
That I haven't learned enough Romanian language;)

Beautiful location, apparently isolated but the area is actually full of tourists.
However at night there is a deep silence and a starry sky.
Facilities are not well suited for full occupancy, all touristic objectives are difficult to reach because of the bad road a few km long.
The area is prone to water stoppages, we had an almost 2 days water stoppage and the host were not prepared for that, while it is not a singular event.
Bed is not confortable, bad mattress and bad sponge filled pillows, no place for clothing storage, etc.

The place was amazing. The landlord and landlady very attentive. Dinner and breakfast were really good and plentiful
After 1 night I've been moved to the room on the ground floor. With the noise of the kitchen and the dining room (sometimes till 11:30pm). I could not negotiate because I had booked after the other guests.

Warm welcome By Friendly Felicia. True and honest country life. Homemade food.
Beautiful area. We had Some excellent walks. Great to ‘land’ in Romania after arriving in Oradea.
Access is a bit difficult when it rains (or snows), but we drove there in a VW Polo without any problems.

We only stayed for one night. Were received by the manager/owner, with a glass of blueberry liquor. She also offered a snack of homemade pies. At dinner, we had polenta with homemade sausage and cheese. The room was rustic, the bathroom basic but all clean. The little dog we travelled with was accepted. The cabin is on a hilltop, some 2-3 km from the nearest village. The views were vast and pleasant. We were able to buy some basic food and mineral water from the village shop. Pouf, the 2 year-old dog of the host accompanied us enthusiastically all the way and back. There is a communal kitchen and fridge.
Unfortunately the WiFi was not reaching the first floor. On the second level it was good, even for a teleconference.

Incredible view, one of the most secluded locations in Romania where you could spend the night, utter silence, only interrupted by crickets and birds. Simply a highway to our romanian ancestors, crafts and call to nature. Go there with a good heart and you'll come out refreshed.

Amazing view, very friendly people, great food . We will for sure come back next year

The place is breath taking, situated in a small and isolated hamlet. The house has a common place for eating. The host were very helpful, they even came after us because we considered that we will not manage to reach the place with our car (low guard). Finally we discover that the place is accessible even with cars with low guard. Our room was small, but really clean. I recommend you to try the food prepared by the host (they offer breakfast and dinner). We stayed only 2 nights and for sure will return for 1 week.

Amazing place with very special hotel owners. Feel at home. I arrived with a regular car, got stuck in the mud, the hotel owner towed my car for free
