Uncle Bob’s Cabin was much better than described on VRBO. We were surprised with how spacious it was! And such a lovely setting. Near the road but we hardly heard or saw a car. The house was so clean and included everything we needed. Little touches in the kitchen like the glasses and dishes with cherry designs were an added surprise. The beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed in the family room. We enjoyed going out for the day, but looked forward to coming “home” and playing cards, drinking flavored coffee and laughing together most of all. We would like to return with more family members next year…

We had a wonderful time in Door County, and this property was perfect for our family. The home was clean, spacious, and had many amenities to make it an ideal place to stay. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck after a busy day of adventures, playing games in the house, and walks to the lake nearby. We would definitely visit again.

The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. Loved the Door County emphasis. The kitchen was well appointed and had some beautiful carvings on the cabinet doors. There were many carvings throughout. The remodel is well done. The beds were very comfortable. It was so quiet and only a short walk to the water. We enjoyed a visit from a family of deer on our last evening. The owners do a great job of taking care of the cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin!

This was a lovely spot for my first trip to Door County. We shopped in Sturgeon Bay the first day and found many very nice shops and restaurants. The next 2 days we drove the pennnsula and discovered many other very picturesque spots with good shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend this VRBO to friends who plan on visiting the area.

The place was nice, only complaint was that the bedroom doors need to oiled. You woke up the house getting up to use the bathroom during the night. Also bed springs were noisy as well 😴

We had an amazing stay at Uncle Bob’s Cabin. The cabin was close to all that Door County has to offer and was well equipped. The lake is only 4 min away by foot and you can catch some amazing sunsets. We can’t wait to come again.

The cottage was very, very clean and cute! The beds are very soft, which was great for me, but if you like a firm bed you might not like them. The kitchen is very well stocked. We loved having two living rooms, so the littles could have their own space and tv to watch. The only two things that were a bummer was no washer on this property (you have to go next door to use the owners in their garage) and there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms, only in the living rooms. Overall we enjoyed the cabin very much!! The owners are very nice too 😊

Absolutely perfect spot for us. We were starting our October Ice Age Trail Mammoth Challenge from Potawatomi State Park. We were so close and enjoyed being out of town. Uncle Bob’s cottage suited us perfectly well! Everything in working order and so clean! We kept it that way our entire stay! A big thanks to the owners!

Uncle Bob's is a very clean house with great options for a family stay. It is in excellent condition with modern conveniences. Idlewild is a quiet location with a short distance to Sturgeon Bay and easy access for Northern Door County excursions. All the kitchen necessities for preparing meals with little amenities included. There is a great outdoor deck with a large table and chairs with awning for outdoor grilling and eating. We only had four adults in our family but there is plenty of room for larger groups.

Really liked the layout of this house. Just roomy enough for a family of 5 to congregate in one room. But also has 2 separate living room areas if kids want to do their own thing. Judy (host) very accommodating and responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer but will book again next time we visit Door County.
