Flip Flop Inn is a new home in popular and beautiful Beach Retreat. Two-story, three bedroom/three bath beach cottage with oversize wraparound balconies sleeps 12 people. Located in a gated community with pool, hot tub and gym, just 200 yards from private beach access to the sugar white sands and emerald Gulf waters. Community pool is heated during Thanksgiving week, Christmas week and for Spring Break!
We also provide Beach Set up Service in Season, Mar - Oct.

Located along one of the most desirable beaches in the nation, Beach Retreat is a family-oriented beach community located on Scenic Gulf Highway and in the heart of beautiful Destin, where the sand is like sugar and Gulf waters are clear and emerald green. Beach Retreat is centrally located to all of Destin's wonderful restaurants, water sports and activities, including Silver Sands outlet mall, Sandestin and Baytowne Wharf, Destin Commons, Big Kahuna's Waterpark, The Track, upscale shopping, casual and fine dining, movie theaters and beautiful golf courses.

First Floor: On the first floor of the home is a beautifully furnished living room and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook as if you were at home, and the large dining table provides plenty of room to serve a big meal. Additional seating is available at the eat-in bar. One of the two sofas is a queen sleeper! Also on the first floor is the first of two master bedrooms with a King-sized bed and flat-screen TV with DVD, attached to a full bath with double vanities. A full-size washer and dryer are located downstairs.

Second Floor: On the second floor is a second master bedroom with a King-sized bed and flat-screen TV with DVD, plus an adjoining bath with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. The second-floor master also offers access to the wraparound balcony so you can enjoy a nightcap on the balcony before you slip between the sheets. The third bedroom is also on the second floor and it has two sets of bunkbeds, each one is twin-over-full. This room sleeps a total of six people and is attached to its own full bathroom. It also has a TV and DVD player, and opens to the backside of the wraparound balcony.

Beach Retreat: Located along one of the most desirable beaches in the nation, Beach Retreat is a family-oriented beach community located on Scenic Gulf Highway and in the heart of beautiful Destin. We offer our guests 300 feet of private beach for Beach Retreat owners and their rental guests only, with umbrella and chair rentals available. Facilities for showering off the sand when returning from the beach are conveniently located at the entrances to the community and the swimming pool. Guests will also enjoy the large swimming pool which includes a hot tub, fountains and lush landscaping. Chaise lounges, tables and chairs are provided for your comfort, and restrooms are located at the pool for use by vacationers and their guests. is located near the pool (with a separate enclosure for the safety of small children) so you have the option to grill your own meals. Our house is only 100 yards from the pool so you can easily carry your food and supplies to and from the pool.

Our family had so much fun staying in this sweet house that is a VERY short walk to one of our favorite beaches. It’s exactly as described and as it appears in the pictures—super cute and comfy. We had plenty of room to spread out and to enjoy some family time together. Communication with management was phenomenal. Quick, friendly responses to all our questions. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect location for our needs. We had three families which allowed each family their own bedroom and bathroom. It was nice, cleaned and ready for us to enjoy. The beach was across the street which is great as you don't have to worry about parking. Would recommend and we're already talking about coming back.

This was a nice house. Kitchen was well stocked. Comfy beds. The neighborhood felt safe. The house had a great layout. Only negative I can have, was the tree in the upstairs bedroom scrapes the window and the kids had trouble sleeping because of the noise. Overall, we had a nice time. Thank you.

Our stay in the Flip Flop Inn was amazing!! We were looking for a place near the beach and other friends visiting town. The cottage was beautiful. We each had our own space and a well appointed kitchen for breakfast together. We were right at the beach so that was nice too. We should have booked an extra day. This was the second time we stayed at the Flip Flop Inn/house. Kathie, the host, is excellent to work with. The house is steps from the beautiful beach and the pool is very nice. When looking for a place to stay, cleanliness is most important to me and upon arriving, we found the house to be very clean. One upgrade from our precious stay was a bigger TV in the living room. Would recommend staying at this house.

This was our best family vacation to date. The location was perfect, the house was amazing, the pool was phenomenal and the beach was so close and convenient! We had a wonderful time at this house located in a small gated community just across the street from the most beautiful white sand beach. Late October stay but had mostly good weather - Quick walk to the beach with chairs & umbrella set up included. Everyone loved the pool area too. Our family of 7 -(4 adults and 3 kids) - had lots of space. Loved that there were 2 king bedrooms! 3 large baths made it easy for everyone to get ready. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the tools we needed if we wanted to have a meal without going out. Also have to mention how nice it was to have the balconies and porch area. Several great restaurants nearby - we especially loved Pompano Joe’s but our favorite was Boshamps Seafood and Oyster House. Very family friendly and awesome food. Checking in and out was easy and Kathy was a great host always there if I had a question. We made so many great memories we will definitely be back for another stay.

Our stay was wonderful. This is a spacious 3 bedroom in a small gated community. It was a short 5 minute walk to the beach with sugar white sands. The pool with a hot tub was so relaxing. The kitchen was great for cooking, and the open layout of the living and dining room gave plenty of space to eat and relax. The wrap around balcony was a neat bonus. The host, Kathy, was very attentive and responsive. Everything was clean, and checking in and out was a breeze. It was a comfortable stay for 6 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 dogs. Would definitely stay here again. If it’s available, book it! You won’t regret it.

The house was lovely and they updated it since last year when we stayed. It’s a good amount of space, is comfortable, and in a great location. We had issues with bugs while we were there and cleanliness and let the property manager know.

Most rentals are not as spacious as they look in the pictures. This home was more than I expected. There were 9 of us and there was more than enough room. It’s just a walk through the gated community, in the shade, to the beach. When coming back in a group, we will definitely try to get this rental again.

The entire process- booking, checking in, and checkout - was easy. The property is perfect for our family. We are looking forward to come back next year. We stayed at many places over the last 14 years in Destin but our favorite spot always the Beach Cottage Retreat.
